Amazing quality pastries. I'm a croissantaholic and these are the best I've had anywhere.

Love this place! It's one of our favorite places for breakfast! Staff is friendly and outdoor seating is perfect for beautiful Maui days. Our favorite is the Bacon, Tomato, Avocado,Eggs Beni. They have a variety of fresh pastries which goes fast so go early before they run out!

We loved this beautiful little place after a morning on Haleakala. We stopped in intending to have lunch but didn't realize on Sundays they only have a brunch menu. So we adjusted our expectations and still had some delightful food. I got the crab cake benedict - which they brought out wrong at first and the waitress was SO overly kind about making it right when it wasn't that big of a deal. So definitely kudos on the customer service. Everything is served with a fresh salad with a bright citrus dressing that my husband and I both really enjoyed. My benedict had tons of flavor and the amount of crab was a great portion size. We sat out on the garden patio and it was just overall a lovely experience with the island breeze blowing through. Also, they take cash check or Venmo for payment, we used Venmo and it was super quick and easy!

No dinners for the immediate future. The chef is gone to France. Breakfasts are still great.

Considering half the menu is Eggs Benedict, I expected a perfect one. I ordered the bacon, tomato, and avo benedict. Unfortunately the poached eggs were underdone and the potatoes that came with the dish were overcooked. The lilikoi vinaigrette that comes on the side salad was not anything special. Food was just okay, but I don't think for its price at almost $26 is worth it. Pretty views from the outdoor seating area! I think the "please wait to be seated" sign should be removed if they tell you to just sit yourself anyway. The two girls taking orders were fine. They also take cash, check, and venmo only.

Food is well Prepared and flavorful. Service is accommodating to BYOB, with appropriate glasses. Great Patio dining with small tables for an intimate setting.

Beautiful outdoor seating under covered lanai. Very friendly service! Delicious crepes, Benedict's, fresh baked goods & coffees. Enjoyed it all!

The citrus hollandaise complemented all the other flavor elements of the dish perfectly. We shared this dish as we just needed a small lunch before hiking Thompson Road and it was a perfect portion. We came 30 minutes before closing and sat on the patio with beautiful views and enjoyed visits from little birds looking for crumbs. This visit felt really different. Today we brought family visiting from off-island after a walk on Thompson Road. We decided to stay and dine in instead of taking it to go. Looking back... maybe takeout would've been the better option. Ugh. I honestly hate writing this. The only reason I am is because I'm hoping someone from the Grandmas team reads this and actually cares enough to make some changes. If you don't know, you can't grow. Today our experience looked like this: * Watching several people get served after us even though we ordered first. Waiting for almost 30 minutes. * Our order getting mixed up and handed to the wrong person * Confusion about what muffins were available... okay fine, I'll take a blueberry muffin. Then halfway through eating it, I found a hair baked into it * Ordering potatoes without onions because of an allergy, having it made wrong twice, and needing it redone * Noticing the restaurant itself looked like it could use a deep cleaning, including ceiling fans with layers of dust And maybe this was just an off day, but the staff vibe felt... off too. Disconnected. Kind of cliquey. Like everyone seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than serving guests. The warm, welcoming feeling Grandmas always had just didn't feel like it was there today. As a customer, I honestly felt like I was intruding or inconveniencing the staff just by being there, and that's a really strange feeling in a place we've loved for so long. That's honestly the part that made me the most disappointed. We've loved Grandmas for years, which is why this was tough. After reading several other reviews, it seems others may have had similar experiences too. I really hope things improve and staff morale lifts, because as customers, we feel it. Mahalo for reading. I truly hope this helps and leads to positive changes.

The drive to the restaurant along curvy roads and tall, shady trees was enchanting. I'd heard the views from the restaurant were spectacular, and the unique outdoor canvas-covered "gazebos" added to its charm. Our party of four chose to eat under one of the outdoor gazebos. We ordered four morning cocktails: a Bloody Mary, $12, 2 Maui Mosas, $18, and a Kona Longboard, $9. Our entrees were the Upcountry Quiche, $27, Roasted Kabocha Squash, $28, Mochiko Chicken & Waffles, $30, and the Garlic Prawn Pizza, $30. While we waited for our food, we took the time to wander the beautiful botanical garden grounds and pathways. When our food did arrive, there was only one glitch. Instead of the Garlic Prawn Pizza, we received a different shrimp entree, which looked fantastic...but it wasn't what we ordered. They apologized and went to prepare the pizza. The food was delicious, and portions were big, so we definitely had leftovers. Overall, I am so glad we finally made it to Kula Lodge. Unfortunately, just 3 weeks after our visit, Kula Lodge suffered from a restaurant fire. I am absolutely positive they will re-open again. In the meantime, come support their Kula Marketplace, which is a wonderful gift shop, adjacent to the restaurant, and untouched by the fire. They need your support!!! I will definitely return!

I definitely went in with high hopes. The interior is really modern and minimal, which I liked. It just felt a little unexpected being tucked into a shopping center. We had dinner reservations and were seated at a corner table by the windows. The staff were friendly throughout the night. My sister ordered a Coke, while I decided to try the Black Cherry Manhattan. Let's just say... it was strong. We shared a few dishes: * Roasted vegetables: I wasn't a fan of the onion purée. It just tasted odd to me, but I still ate it because I needed to get my veggies in. * Steak Tagliata: We ordered it medium, but unfortunately neither of us finished it. The steak was much chewier than we expected. * Smashed Potatoes: Maybe this one's on me, but I took the menu name literally and was expecting crispy smashed potatoes. These were much closer to mashed potatoes. * Bianca Pizza: This ended up being the star of the meal. Nothing mind-blowing, but it was the only dish we actually finished. Overall, I wasn't blown away. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was friendly, but the food just didn't live up to the expectations I had going in. If you decide to give it a try, I'd say go with an open mind, lower your expectations a bit, and expect the unexpected.

We were greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable tourguide, Kate from Maryland! She shared with us so many facts about the locally grown produce from herbs, vegetables, fruits, to the friendly worms, to compost and facts about the Farm and the hardworking staff! It was interactive because we got to sniff the herbs, taste the locally grown lettuce, carry a chicken (as seen in the photo with my mom), and even pick the Cherry coffee! After the 2 hour tour, the last hour takes you back to this beautiful seating area in a garden like setting for your 4 course lunch! Each course, the chef comes out and shares details of each course. First course was a Medley of Greens grown on the farm with Tangerine vinaigrette. It was a generous portion for our party of 3 and tried to eat it throughout. There was spiraled carrots and radish with julienned snap peas. Second course was Pan Seared Ono (their proteins are all locally sourced) with Mamaki Tea and Lemongrass Rice with Bok Choy, Collared Greens and Cabbage. Third course was my favorite! I'm usually a big fan of fish but the chicken was so savory and that rub was delish! It was an Organic, Cage Free Chicken with Coffee Cherry Citrus rub with Caramelized Coffee Honey Hash of Carrots, Parsnips, Rutabaga and Celery Root. The spread was a Turmeric and Parsnip puree.
