I must say that the quality of the food here is very good. I think the key here is quality and presentation. Wait time to get seated on a Friday morning was less than 5 minutes. Server was good and they check up on you throughout your meal. I had the corned beef hash with sunny side eggs on top, a croissant for my side, and a latte. The main entreé was very delicious and the portion was very decent. The beef was tender and pulled apart nicely. Mixed the eggs into the hash and made the dish taste even better. The croissant was nice and warm. Flakey outer texture and nice soft buttery inside. The latte was good too. We sat outside next to a heat lamp and was fine. There was no wind today so that is a plus. This location is great for outdoor seating, The porch is breezy but heated making it the perfect place to catch up over some brunch. The pastry case is usually empty by closing time (4p!) so I recommend getting there earlier in the day if you want to shop the delightfully flaky pastries in addition to their bomb brunch entrees. Portion sizes are generous, my friend and I felt very satisfied after sharing the NW Benedict and cup of soup.... Plus a cocktail each! They offer an amazing cocktail list as well. The food was mixed and their on site bakery was disappointing. My wife had the carmalized banana french toast and I had the house omelet and we split the house croissant. We had coffee and fresh squeezed juice. We bought 3 homemade pastries for home. The french toast was delicious, moist and not too sweet with no syrup needed. The omelet missed the mark. It was overcooked and the ingredients were bland. The homemade jam was nothing special and the croissant was average at best. The pastries were very disappointing. I visited La Provence while visiting Vancouver last month. The restaurant was about 50 ft from my hotel and I went for a late breakfast. The service was really fast and friendly. I ordered croissants, fresh juice, scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes. The food was good--the apple flavored sausage was outstanding! I will return again when I visit but the $40 price for the above items was prohibitive to my going more often. A very nice place and meal. read more

Very different than I've had before and probably the best jam I've ever had I had the NW salmon hash and they DID NOT skimp out on the meat. Still a good place to go. Four of us were at there at 11am, before the lunch rush. I had the California omelette with ham instead of bacon, I think it was. Everyone liked their meal. I liked the omelette, I just didn't care for the sauce on top and a little bit of the eggs were undercooked (the white part.) The croissants were amazing, as always. Everyone else was very satisfied with their meal and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. They have people walking around clearing off dirty dishes--they are on top of things here! It was amazing and also just so like we don't want you to lose our trust vibe. I am almost 60 and can honestly say that the customer here...today...was the best I have EVER had! Went to pay my bill, they did not charge me for my Monte Cristo, which I would have been fine with because I ate half and it was delicious (I would offer syrup versus strawberry preserve), and again such great customer service, I left a 25% tip... The Vancouver, WA location reminded my why I love this popular regional French-inspired patisserie and restaurant, but it also gave me a couple new shots of amour that have rekindled the affair (in order of affection). * Pavlova ($5.75 - 5 stars) Sugar-rich Meringue filled with Raspberry & Passion Fruit Compote and topped with fresh Berries and creamy pure Mascarpone Chantilly Cream was the sweetest thing ever. Oui, EVER!. * Our server (priceless - 5 stars) Ok, the only thing sweeter might of been the attentive, helpful, and "on-her-game" Molly who earned as many stars and tips as legally allowed in the state of Washington. * Monte Cristo Sandwich ($14 - 5 stars) This is my biggest La Provence soft sandwich love featuring stacked Smoked Turkey, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Pineapple, Tomato, & Mayo that is dipped in Egg Batter and then Grilled to perfection. We've sat outside, in restaurant, and at the bar top and the service has never faltered. Very busy place, it's one of the reasons we usually don't consider it an option but we wanted to try it. They had a Bloody Mary bar/selection that looked very yummy but we didn't try it. We waited about 30 minutes in the car and had to park pretty far but we didn't mind, we knew it would be busy... the menu had options and I loved that!! The bread was fresh baked and we even left with baked treats for later. My chorizo scramble needed salt but I simply added some and was fine, my husband was satisfied as well. Not sure if this place will ever become one of our regular spots because it's a bit too pricy for the experience. Had the service been better I would have said yes it's worth it but the waitress was MIA once the order was taken. Someone else brought the food and she just showed up at the end.
