Not only is the food awesome, the customer service is phenomenal! Ordered carry out and everything was perfect! I ordered the Blue Corn Chicken enchiladas and wow. Chicken was moist and had a great flavor. My husband ordered the stuffed sopapilla which I didn't hear him say one word while he was stuffing his face. Must've been good . I am a wimp when it come to Chile. Green had a bite to it. Oh and we finished with a 6-pack of double white from Marble, how can we not?!? I am a NM native and this place reminds me of home. I am from NM and I love and miss good NM food. So when La Ristra opened near me I jumped for joy. I tried it a few times shortly after they opened and it was just ok. The flavor of the Chile is good, but the quality and consistency and the service was not. Recently they were in an article with a great review so I tried them again yesterday. The waiter was new again, the blue corn enchiladas were watery from the shredded chicken and they were barely warm. The service was slow and I don't think we will be going back. The green Chile was good, and the red Chile flavor was good. I think they might be having a hard time hiring and keeping good people. read more

Went here 3 days ago with my family for the second time ever and got their Mahi Mahi tacos. They were very delicious and just like my first time, it was a pretty great experience with a very Southern California Vibe to the restaurant. The service and wait time could use some work though. We waited 20 minutes for our server to refill our water glasses and waited 30 minutes for our food. He was a very nice guy that you could tell has been doing a quality job for some time but being attentive is key and that was lacking. Service was good but the food was not. It was very basic and disappointing. The restaurant was clean and had a decent atmosphere. Our order included: Chips and salsa--good southwest chopped salad--kind of slimy with little to no flavor. Pork soup--tasted like it was from a Campbell's soup can Quesadillas were fine--but you really have to work at screw one up. Bean and cheese burrito--I honestly don't know how you can mess this up but my daughter didn't finish it. She said the beans were too runny. When I asked my husband what he thought about his meal, he said, "what did I get?" We just ate there two days ago. There may be some delicious things on the menu, but in our entire party of 8 no one left impressed. For reference, I'm a fan of El Charro and Poco y Mom's in Tucson, along with some hole in the wall places that just kill at making real flavorful Mexican food. This is the second time to La Ristra and it has become one of my new favorite places. From the time we walked in until the time we left, we had phenomenal service. Our server, Miracle was sweet, genuine, and patient. Miracle was very attentive to our table and very kind. If we had any questions, she answered immediately and was knowledge. The food was great! The restaurant has done a fabulous job with ensuring the customer service remains exceptional despite the pandemic. We felt safe visiting the restaurant with the pandemic and will definitely return. Ordered take out for our first time here and was served raw chicken. MAJOR health hazard. Decided to give it another chance because we live right around the corner and the reviews. This time we ate in because I was worried about them not caring about take out orders. Went on a Friday night, it was super busy. Sat at our table for 10 minutes without being greeting once. Finally decided to leave without anyone ever saying hello. Horrible food and customer service. As a professional that owns a food company I'm disappointed that this is the representation that is given for food in the valley of the sun. Not only that but potentially making people sick. It's a really nice space, big and open. Plenty of options for seating. They have a really nice variety of foods as well. I brought my parents here when they were in town from out of state because my father is a spicy food aficionado and that is kind of there specialty with lots of hot peppers and spicy salsas. He said his food was really good, loved the salsas and options for the food. My mother got a seafood dish that she also really liked. I had the carne asada and this is where I knocked off a star. On the menu they put little chili emoji's next to the dishes with hot salsa on them and what not. I ordered the carne asada specifically because it didn't have one of those emoji's because I am not a big spicy food person. When my food came out, there was a large portion of salsa over my carne asada and it turned out to be there hottest salsa so effectively my carne asada was ruined because it was drenched in the stuff. Everything else on the plate was delicious but, I wasn't warned about the heat of the dish by the server or on the menu which seems like a pretty large flaw. Still would definitely reccomend, just make sure you specificy with the wait staff. read more

At least it's not cold veggies with cheese. Then I asked for my bill to be split, a portion on my corporate card the remaining balance on my personal card. Well the server blamed my card, the card I've been using this business trip for weeks with no issue. He said it didn't swipe and it charged me but I would see a refund in a few days? 10/10!!! We've been here 3 times now and oh my gosh amazing. I have gotten the fajita burrito (smothered Christmas style) every time and it never disappoints. Their mashed potatoes are amazing as well. My husband has gotten the green chili pepper pork tacos, enchiladas, and fish tacos and they have all been fantastic. Excellent food. I've only had takeout which is why 4 of 5 stars. We've had the taco salads, enchiladas and stuffed sopapilla. In the restaurant, I believe the food would reach the 5 star mark so I'll update once we get a chance to eat there. Green Chile sauce is very good. I would consider myself to have a fairly decent pallet when it comes to New Mexican cuisine and do enjoy myself a good green hatch chili sauce. I have had this placed bookmarked for a fair amount of time and decided it was time to satisfy that craving for some sopapillas. First off, the things I did like are the ambiance - it felt like I was in the high desert mountains of a small town in New Mexico, the service - very good. I got the sopapilla plate with rice and beans, my buddy got the green chili plate with calabacitas and black beans. I liked the quantity of the food that I got but I was not overly impressed with the taste or spice level of the green chili; it was a spice level of 2.5 or maybe 3 out of 10. When I get New Mexican food I want to walk out with my eyes watering from the spice level. With that said I don't want to paint the impression that the food is bad because it is good I just have an expectation that the hatch green chili sauce is going to burn my face off. I took my wife here for her birthday. We sat next to the bar. We were greeted with smiles. We started with the Hatch chile sliders with carne asada. We were thinking of dinner but after the fourth order of sliders, we had to take a breather. But not before putting entree ordered in to go! Manager/Owner acknowledged the fact that we had a coupon which allowed us to have a discount on our dinner. We were with another couple who had a coupon as well and we were told by the Manager/Owner that it would be ok to use the coupons. When the check arrived the coupon was not applied and the Manager/Owner said because we sat at the same table, it voided the coupon even though he had told us up front that it would be ok to use both coupons. read more

Let me start off by saying we have eaten at the Chandler location and really enjoyed the food. This location is not the same. Their salsas are great, we love them. Margaritas were sooooo watered down. We got queso that literally tasted and looked like velveeta... while we were there on Father's Day the restaurant was not packed, yet I heard our server say "food is taking a while due to large parties in the back." Even though it did not appear so. Back to the entrees, they were out of the short rib so I ordered a Chile relleno. Wife ordered green Chile stew. Food took nearly 30 mins, the corn tortillas were obvious store bought and so stale!! They curved and stood up on their own the stew had good flavor but was thin, not like what you would imagine. The relleno was soggy and greasy while the meat had good flavor. The roasted corn had a very weird chemically flavor, I honestly have had better frozen grilled corn. The mashed potatoes tasted like reconstituted potato flakes. Overall, bad and expensive! We went here for a treat and was sorely disappointed. read more

Wow!! We normally love this place but today we actually walked out after sitting for literally 20 mins to get two margs that never came. We were sitting in the very empty bar and watched as the bar tender ignored drink orders, left from behind the bar and chatted to a table for about 10 mins. We never got our drinks. Sad how terrible the service was. Won't be back for a while as I can only imagine that that bar tender will be fired or placed in a different area, hopefully sooner than later. read more

Came here with a party of 60. Made reservations with Andrea and she was very accommodating, especially to the fact that it was going to be several family groups, so separate checks. They were very prepared for us and had the serving staff ready. Everything was on point, from the service to the excellent food, to drinks. I have dine here several time before Covid. This time I ordered pickup. Ordered two meals and pitcher of Margarita. Pick up Margarita but the containers were hot. I went back to restaurant and return them. Two people came out with out introducing themselves and offer to replace. I told them it was not right that I received my Margarita Hot. They replace and had no answer why it was served hot. Also my meal should have come with sopapillas which did not come with meal. I have dine in here several times but this is ridiculous. read more
