The waitresses were very nice. I wanted queso but only have nacho cheese sauce. The chips and salsa were great. I had the chimichanga plate was good and I forget what my husband's plate was called. I'm posting pictures, also they do not have margaritas. Food ok but not enough for a return visit.

Overall it was good. I wouldn't come back due to limited seasoning on food. I like flavor. There was no heat on salsa or on Mexican ranchero. The serving size was great. Potatoes were good and tasty. My Caffe Ollo was like Sugar with a hint of coffee. Disappointed in it. The menudo was decent, didn't taste dirty which is a good thing. However it was missing the spices, tasted more watery than something cooked together.

La Rueda has become our favorite weekend breakfast place! Delicious food and great variety. From fresh menudo to the sizzling La Rueda skillet. I can never get enough! Very clean, open atmosphere and the servers are always so pleasant and welcoming

Fantastic menu and prices are very reasonable. Service was fast, efficient and Texas friendly. Food csme out fast and hot. Love the rustic texas decor. Love the fact the breakfast potatoes are cooked on griddle not deep fried.

On my very first visit to La Rueda Restaurant on Oakland Blvd., not too crowded!! Gotta love this best place to have breakfast on the weekends!!

Great food for a very good price! We never walk away spending more than $20-$25 for the 2 of us. Service can be hit or miss at times, but the servers are very nice and usually pretty quick to get you anything they forgot. Besides serving your standard Mexican food, they do have a few veggie options, including cheese quesadillas, cheese enchiladas and chiles rellenos. We've brought different friends here several times and they always leave satisfied (and have continued coming back). We've been here plenty of times for their breakfast and dinner. La Rueda is BYOB so bring a bottle of champagne and turn your breakfast into a brunch or bring your favorite beer for dinner! Definitely recommend this place.

Beef. Fajita. Burrito. Those are three glorious words. Here's a few more.... Fresh made salsa, fresh made guacamole and all coming from a little house down Oakland in East Fort Worth. One of the guys at work had been here and liked it so that was good enough to try it out. All there is is a neon "Open' sign and a green house. It does not say La Rueda outside the building, if you pass it, you end up on Lancaster, and at night, that's not a fun place to be. So don't pass it. Now for this beef fajita burrito($5.50). Stuffed with rice, beans, onions, cheese and of course lots of tasty, tasty meat. I topped it with the guac, salsa and even got fresh chopped jalapenos to cover it with. You have choices of chicken, brisket, taco beef or fajita beef. The salsa is fresh and has a great snap to it. If you don't like spicy you may be afraid, but I loved it. The guacamole was creamy and had a little bit of chunk to it. Some of the other menu items include flautas, enchiladas and biztek, There are also American options like brisket and fried chicken. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open all seven days of the week. Most all options are under $10.00 and it looks like a place I will return to. They have a small parking lot and it's small inside as well, so not alot of seating but it is worth a stop. Enjoy.

New exterior color (2015). Same great food.

Great food, good prices and BYOB. Recommend the combination beef and shrimp fajitas. The carne asada is a good option.

Disappointed for a couple of different reasons. - we wanted to sit outside on the patio and they sat us in a table that was filthy. Chips and rice everywhere on the ground under our feet when there were plenty of other table options near that were clean. Also major delays for getting our drinks and chip refills when it felt like we were the only people out there. - the food just sucked. It felt like everything that came to our table was cold and completely rid of seasoning. We ordered the blackened tilapia tacos and that was the best thing we had all night. The chicken enchiladas were a joke. We asked for the sour cream on the side and they decided to just bring out the chicken wrapped in the tortilla and that's it. Not really sure how they thought that would go... beans were cold and rice was meh. No cheese no vegetables nothing else. - I ordered a margarita with a double pour of tequila. Our server came back and said she was instructed by her manager that she can't do doubles and they would have to charge me for another drink and put the tequila in a shot glass instead of having the bartender mix it in. Never in my life have I had someone refuse to make a double. I was curious why this place was so dead on a Friday night but now it makes perfect sense. It's just not a good restaurant. Save your $$ and go eat somewhere else.

The fact that they charge for chips and salsa helped me round down my 3.8 to 3. Sorry guys but that's nit picky and non traditional. Greedy? Maybe. There are tons of other places but if you end up here it'll do the trick.

So since mom passed away, everything is pretty poor here! I mean food is still pretty tasty but the service, the expectations, the food presentations. They need a lot of work! The son of the owner is FREAKING LAZY!!!!!! Dad was working the kitchen today and he's in the front of the house being LAZY AS ALWAYS! If he's your server RUN AWAY and come back later or ask for better server. He's entitled. He NEVER EVER comes back to check on you. He avoids eye contact. He'll take your order and then sit down to play on his phone or watch TV. Then take food from the window throw it in your table and never come back. Sit back down to be on his phone. There are 2 servers that are very very good, tall white guy and one lady but the rest are TRASH!!! So if you are looking for great food but can overlook the service this is the place but sometimes even the tasty food can't overcompensate the service. We might not comeback for a bit. Oh and we also saw the son today took our server tip from our table and put it in his pocket! And he didn't clean our table at all. He just pass our table, pocket the $7 and left. And he did not even wait on us at all today! I hope that girl got her tip back! So that was the turning point for us for a while. Watch out for him when you leave cash tip for your server.

We were greeting warmly as we were shown to our table. Soni, our server, for our visit introduced herself and asked if we had any questions about the menu. Since we weren't too hungry, we decided to order the Appetizer Sampler plate, thinking that would be the perfect combination of yummies for us. While waiting for our appetizer, we enjoyed the chips and salsa. I especially LOVE Chuy's Cilantro Jalapeño dip. It's addictive and so delicious. When Soni brought the Sampler plate to our table our eyes got as big as dinner plates. The platter was huge and there was enough to share with 4 people not just 2 who weren't too hungry. If we'd been going home, we could have taken a to-go box, but we had another engagement. The platter had quesadillas, flautas, nachos, guacamole, queso, pico and jalapeños, 4 of each. Oh my. We had a delightful time enjoying the deliciousness and doing quite a bit of people watching, that's always so much fun. Soni took wonderful care of us throughout our visit, she was very attentive. Thank you Chuy's for the awesome food, we'll be back again soon.
