My favorite Pizza Slice in Millburn! They have an amazing arugula salad slice with fresh mozz, olive oil, shredded parm and tomato...slightly warm. It is mind blowing, you will absolutely love it. Haven't had any of the Italian food for dinner but this is a great lunch spot. read more

Tried this place for the first time last night, it did not disappoint! From the front, it's a pizza joint but, there's a brick dining room and outside patio in the back. Three and a half stars. Only have done take out. Got the quattro formaggi personal pie and it was just OK. It was a bit on the burnt side and the ricotta was dry and not creamy. I've also had the arugula pizza and it was really good the first time but not as good the second time so maybe there is some inconsistency issues. read more

They always have the best options for slices, some of my favorites are the arugula, the vodka sauce, the white pizza, and the melanzane. It took 2 years of living in Springfield (and 7 years of my husband working in Millburn) to finally discover La Strada; better late than never! Hands down best pizza in the area. I'm a Star Tavern girl for life, but La Strada does a boss pie and a recent trip back home reaffirmed this! The sauce is really garlicky, which is great for me, and apparently my 10 month old, as he literally freaked when I wouldn't give him more than a few little bites from my slice. I like both regular and super thin crusts... I think I even spotted that they offer a whole grain crust(?) They've got great pasta dinners and whatnot, but I'm all about the pie. I used to favor Jolly Pizza over La Strada when unable to schlepp over to Star, but after noticing how they're almost never open, I seriously think Jolly's just a front for a bookie joint with good pie. read more

Bread was good and loved the fact they give you a bowl of grated parm vs standing over me grinding (I hate that). Server was extremely accommodating and food was good. My husband and I have come to order from LA Strada every Sunday night. The food? Is always fabulous. I always get the spinach pasta Gorgonzola and add chicken and my husband frequently orders the penne vodka with chicken or fettuccini alfredo with chicken. That being said the food never disappoints. We love getting the different varieties of bread when we order as well. The drawbacks? Always take about 45 minutes to deliver. Also, there have been numerous times they went to deliver to the wrong place and had to call us because there are 2 of the road I live on in the area. They've only ever messed up our order once and the next time made it up to us and threw in some dessert on the house as well. If those minor drawbacks are worth overlooking, we love the food and would recommend this place! read more

Had the worst pizza of my life today from la strada & im not exaggerating. If you're gonna serve specialty slices, serve them fresh. Ordered a large pie & 2 specialty slices for delivery 1 arugula slice & 1 chicken parm slice which btw were $4 each. The arugula slice made me gag, WHY would you put a slice of pizza to heat up in an oven with arugula on it??? If they were smart or cared they would put the arugula on the slice after heating it up so it doesnt get all hot soggy and sour. Ugh so gross and tge chickrn parm slice looked like it was from the morning when I ordered at 7:00 and had eggplant on it which they didnt mention on the phone. The plain pies are decent but nothing to rave about. And twice I had an issue with the older delivery man giving me an attitude !! Just terrible. read more

I've eaten here many times and must say it's some of the better pizza in the Millburn/West Orange/Livingston area. The pastas are pretty decent as well but I would likely go elsewhere if I were craving a plate of realy good pasta. The pizza is great- especially the Margherita Pizza. read more

One of the best pizzerias around! Even when it's a madhouse, the guys running the counter will always take a second to genuinely greet you and shake your hand. You can get any pie with a whole grain crust that DOESN'T taste like cardboard! It tastes better than a traditional dough and the pizza, overall, is perfect. Just enough sauce and you can go light on the cheese, if you wish! Toppings are always fresh... especially the vegetables! They also have a more formal dining room, also very good! I live in the area and tonight was my first time here. Prior to coming, I have heard this is a great place to go with friends or family and to easily get a nice meal. However, I must say I was a little disappointed. The portions were weak and the food was just alright. I will come back again, but will know for next time to just do pizza or else you will be dissatisfied. read more

The pizza is very good - I order it "thin crust" and think this style is the best here. The sauce is heavy on the garlic (in case you have an aversion). There is an outdoor patio in the back that is great during the summer. Great place for children too. read more

Had the pepperoni pizza and it was forgettable. The house salad was OK and the dressing was interesting but good. The service was lacking and it was even a struggle to get more napkins or refill waters and sodas. The dining room is really cramped and loud. There are waiters and others constantly bumping into your chair or table. I bet it would be better if Mike Priore ran the establishment. If he ran for Mayor I would vote for him. read more

I'm "rounding up" to four stars. La Strada is solid and consistent, and their pizza is great. I do like the nicer, BYOB seating area in the back. I have never had a bad meal at La Strada, but, on occasion, some dishes were "average-plus". I wouldn't drive a long way, but its always a good choice in the area. read more

We ordered two pizzas for delivery on Halloween knowing it may be awhile. They said it would be about 45-50min. After 90 mins we called and were told that they were putting the pizza in the oven, if we were willing to pick it up it would be ready in 30 mins. When we got there we were told it would be another 30-40 min until it was ready. 2.5 hours later and still no pizza- a major problem for my toddler and diabetic father- the worst part was the attitude of the staff who was not apologetic at all and accused us of lying to other customers who overheard our complaints. This is not the first time we had a problem with La Strada's service and attitude, but it will be the last. We are done with them. read more

LaStrada is one of the best places in Millburn!!! I love it so much! Their service is like lightning. The food is excellent. I order from them every week and the delivery takes less than 30 minutes. For the second time, we didn't get what we ordered for takeout. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic bread. I got linguini with meatballs, and regular bread. I called to complain. OBSESSED with this place!!! I come here for lunch all the time and always buy their vodka slice. It's super simple (vodka pasta sauce and mozzarella) but the way the pizza is made is perfect. It was ok. Had an Italian version of paella. Mussels shrimp and spicy sausage. The pasta was all right. Not aldente, but not mushy either. Portions were good sized. I went during lunch. I didn't see a bar, or a trace of wine or beer. The service was just ok. Nice. But, they kept coming over to ask of I was ok. That can be annoying if your trying to chew. The back restaurant seating area is a little confusing if you've never been. The front of the house is a pizzeria, then you go to the back of the area for full service. I would go back. Not any time soon. For the prices, I could get a plate of perfectly cooked pasta at Orange Squirrel right near me... And a martini. read more

I like La Strada. It's not the best pizza I've ever eaten but it's not the worst either. The guys are always really friendly and fast. The pizza is decent with an amazing chewy crust. We usually get the multigrain with mushrooms and olives and it's awesome for a "healthy" pizza. We also love their antipasto salad. I don't know what they put in that orangey red dressing but I close my eyes and eat it anyway. MMMHMMM!!! My only complaint is that it's right near our apartment and the hordes of kids that hang out in front drive us nuts! read more
