This place is actually really really good! It's like a hole in the wall spot! They have a small dining area which fills up quickly. Not sure how it is during lunch hours, but when we were there dinner it was busy. We got tacos, because a co worker of mine recommended it. They were delicious. Tacos were $1.25 ea, but if you want that deal, you have to get the same meat for two tacos. I tried getting adobada, asada, chicken, and carnitas. The server said the tacos wouldn't be $1.25 unless I got two asada or two adobada, etc. So, I just got 2 adobada and two carnitas and they were both amazing. read more

It's been awhile since I tried LT for the first time and was not exactly pleased with the food I had. However, I gave it another try (to-go is the only option due to the pandemic) and food was actually much better. We ordered steak tacos, chicken tacos, and carnitas tacos. All were very good and came with hot sauces. Note: Like most restaurants during this time, restaurants increase their prices so expect to pay a little more than usual. The restaurant is kinda tucked away in a little shopping building, but once you find it you'll be highly pleased. I ordered the vampiro Birria tacos with a side of rice and beans, and it was very delicious. The service was fast , the only down fall is the inside doesn't have much space so there was a little wait. Other than that, If you're in the area definitely give it a try! read more

I cannot imagine why everyone is rating this restaurant nearly 4 1/2 stars overall rating I didn't see anything representative of that on my one and only visit last night Place was near empty when we went in about an hour before closing so should not have been any rush at all in the kitchen or with staffing or anything as there was two other tables besides us Service was OK nothing special but not lacking except for the fact I ordered rice that I never received so I guess the waitress completely dropped the ball there I ordered 4 tacos with the intention of sharing with my friend she ordered I think a burrito and her burrito did not come with any beans or rice on the side which I kind of thought was odd But the biggest problem was the temperature of all the food was not even warm it was practically room temperature if that. I shared her burrito as she cut off a third of it for me so I'm positive her burrito was just as cold as what my tacos were And as I stated there was nearly no one else in the restaurant when we were there so it's not like they were busy and had to prepare the food when we ordered it I'm guessing and we got it pretty quick but I'm just wondering what kind of old food did we receive that wasn't even hot and fresh? I absolutely would never go back to this restaurant. The only reason I tried last night was the super high yelp ratings. We found this gen not to far from our hotel on our Washington visit to see our son. What a great find to get some Mexican food like we are used back in Texas while here, the salsas aren't as spicy but very flavorful. I enjoyed tacos 4 ways pastor, carnitas, asada and I had asked for laengua but got tripe (loved it first time). All 4 meats I tried in the tacos where fantastically flavored and prepared. My wife enjoyed her taco salad and had never had rice in a taco salad before, she had the ground beef and said it was very good. My wife even offered up that she would be ok having dinner there a few more times before we head home. I also ordered a side of refried beans and they where excellent as will beautifully seasoned and the perfect consistency. Complementary chips and salsa were also added to our to go order. Super friendly staff and felt very safe while inside, very clean and attentive to making sure all the cleaning and safety protocols for Covid19 where observed and followed. Throuout time many have searched for the fabled mexican restaurant that is said to exist as as a hole in the wall. Well Washingtonions, look no further for it is La Terraza. Pulling up to this place can be a little underwhelming, but I assure you it is just humble fassad. Upon entering this quaint place, you are greeted by Latin music, smiling waitresses, and happy guests enjoying their meals. At least that was my experience. After finding a table, Yari the waitress came over and was a delight to talk too and she brought us chips and salsa. She recommended their special which consisted of a clay pot filled with steak, chicken, shrimp, cactus, avocado, beans, fresh cheese, and covered with a savory cooked red salsa. It also came with Mexican rice, salad, and warm tortillas. She made it sound so good that we ordered two plates and a bowl of Posole, because in order to judge a Mexican restaurant, you can't just base it on their tacos, but on their more complicated dishes. Yari brought our table their three homemade salsas, and they were all fantastic. They ranged from tangy and mild, to holy moly my mouth is on fire, at least according to my wife. When our food came out, the plates were hot and well portioned. We easily felt like we were getting our money's worth, but it wasn't until we tried our food that we knew we had scored. Though the daily special truly tasted fantastic, tasting the Posole took me back to my teen years when I spent a month traveling through Mexico. The food tasted not only well seasoned, but it felt like it was cooked with love. I had once said that Washington didn't have any good Mexican restaurants, but I can now happily retract that statement. The overall flavor of the taco was not super meaty, but a rather nostalgic, earthy taste, led by the double tortilla. It really tastes like homemade street tacos. I also enjoy the liberal amount of cilantro. Free chips and salsa. When you get your food, you get three more bottles of sauce. One red, one tomatillo, and one....green-ish sauce? Husband had al pastor and carne asada tacos. He said they were "good, but tasted like the grill they were cooked on." I had the enchilada/taco combo. Loved the chicken enchilada. Tortilla soup was excellent with lots of grilled chicken and avocado, nicely seasoned. The Pollo con Crema was large however chicken was over cooked. The $1.25 tacos were typical street tacos with plenty of meat. The kids quesadilla was cheesy. Small, strip mall space, we were seated right next the soda machine & drink cooler. There food is good. This was the fried tilapia. It comes with Mexican rice which didn't taste bad like most Mexican restaurants I've been to here locally. Refried beans and tortillas. Found this place on Yelp... place looks slightly questionable on the outside but inside is not bad looking decor. Place was busy on a weekday afternoon with locals which showed promising. Tacos are $1.25 and are tasty- I tried the chicken and steak tacos. The steak was super tasty. Chicken wasn't dry at all. Also got the nacho fries with ground beef...the portion is massive for $7.99! My to go taco place! Was looking for a dinner place a couple months ago and was little weary about this place from the outside. But , don't judge a book by its cover! The employees here are so genuine and so welcoming. You come in and are able to pick a table or they will direct you to one. They are tacos 2 for $3 and they are the real deal street tacos! I have tried chicken, fish, and chorizo and everyone is full of flavor and hits the spot! The prices here are unbeatable. I recommend here more than local favorites La Hacienda or Playa Bonita, because you get more for your money here. Also this is authentic Mexican food. read more

Probably the best adobada I've ever had-- and I used to live on the southern New Mexico/ Arizona border so I was spoiled with the best Mexican, Tex-Mex, and Mexican-American food for years.
