Had dinner here this evening and I must say it was less than palatable. After muddling through the under cooked fried calamari, I found my entrée of chicken francaise to be less flavorful than a TV dinner. When the waitress was advised of my dissatisfaction, the cook stormed out of the kitchen and accosted me and my dinner mate, demanding that I explain what was wrong with the food. He proceeded to tell us in the most unprofessional manner how insulted he was that we did not like the food. He went back into the kitchen and returned once more to reiterate how insulted and offended he was. I have never encountered an establishment where the staff is so rude, unprofessional and argumentative. In summary, the food is not very good, the cook is extremely rude, with cooking skills that would probably be more suitable for Dominos or Little Cesar's as opposed to an actual Italian restaurant. I would not recommend eating here and would rate this place with a negative star if Yelp offered that option! read more

After hearing some good things about this place I REALLY wanted to love it. My husband and I had a date night and we were going to go back to Tsubaki (just a few stores down in this strip mall and FABULOUS) but decided to detour and come here instead. We were so disappointed. When we went in the pizza side was empty and the dining room side had a good amount of people in it. We were encouraged to sit in the pizza side and told it would be faster but we decided to wait for the dining room side. The wait wasn't bad at all (under 10 mins). We ordered calamari and it was perfectly cooked. Not a sign of rubbery-ness at all and perfect amount of chew to it. (I feel like I have to say this because we eat calamari all the time and it's never perfect like this). The issue I had with it was that it had no taste at all. I actually salted mine to get some flavor. It came with a marinara sauce that was just ok (marinara type pizza sauce) but would have been so much better with an aioli sauce. There was a dinner special that caught my eye and that was the seafood paella. I figured what the heck (and so did the hubs because he got it too). I don't know about you but I am someone who loves rice and when it came out I was so disappointed. There was hardly any rice at all (I took a pic - will hunt through my phone to find it and post it). However, it was filled with seafood. Seafood that again, was cooked well. It just lacked taste. I think it could have had potential had there been some additional rice and some flavor to it. For the first time ever I really felt like we threw away $100 and got a cruddy meal. I don't think I'd even try this place again. I don't eat dairy or meat so italian restaurants can be tricky. My boyfriend who loves meat and cheese and I were in the area and stopped here. Waitress was very accommodating checking the pasta sauce for me and making sure there was no dairy. Pasta and my boyfriends pizza and mozzarella sticks were great. The best part was when I was checking out the manager or owner (not sure) told me that they have no-cheese pizza, and then gave me a slice on the house to take home and try!!! So thoughtful. Went there for the first time and was not impressed. Service was very slow and took a while to place an order. We ordered and I'm waiting for my salad which doesn't come and our dinner gets delivered and he apologized about the salad and offered it them, but I like it before my meal. My daughter had French fries with her wrap and he said he'd bring ketchup. 15 min later he brings it but by then she ate part and the rest were cold. The calamari appetizer was good. A light dusting of flour before frying and it was not over cooked. It was under seasoned though. As for the entrees, both were over salted and lacked any flavor. The chicken Francese should have a nice lemon flavor, but all I got was salt. Same with the saltimboca, over salted and no flavor. Not only is the pizza the best around, but the service is incredible. I am pregnant, and more than capable of carrying my pizza to the car, but they always insist! Wow, was I impressed! I ate here last night, and everything was amazing - great food and fantastic service. I had a white works pizza, and it was so delicious - crispy crust and delicious toppings. My husband had chicken parmigiana, and he said it was perfectly prepared. My daughter had the tortellini bolognese, and she loved it. We also had dessert, so yummy. Great toppings and flavor with a crust on the thinner side although not quite thin crust. I had the seafood pasta which was delicious. Seafood cooked perfectly! We went before christmas , we were 12 people. The dinning room serves a different menu then the front of the restaurant. No meal under $20. Seafood mainly. Comes with a spring mix salad. A handful with an olive no mentioning of choices of dressing. The food was overly oily. One of my coworkers was so put off by the fishy taste of the scallops and was telling them. To give them a chance to fix the problem. The owner came and said there is nothing wrong with the food and he will not fix the bill or the meal. That was a first for me ever seen a owner react that way. It was a pretty ugly experience for all of us. And we all live close by, and they walked away with that feeling of. No thank you. My first visit and I ordered a chicken parm entry to go. Overall I'm not impressed. The chicken was bland tasteless and the portion size was comparatively small to other places in the area. But the price was higher then other places around. I may go back and try there pizza but would definitely not order another entry. If they're going to charge over $15 for chicken parm with a side of pasta it should be good not just mediocre. Most places locally for the same dish give a separate container full of pasta instead of cramming the entire dinner in one container. My wife and i were driving by this place yesterday and decided to stop in for lunch. The old fiat parked in front caught our eye. The food was excellent!! We tried the pizza, calamari & the zuppa de clams. All were great! The owner recommended trying his special cappuccino, we did, and it didn't disappoint. i highly recommend. If I could do 0 stars i would! So disappointing!!! I can't speak about the food because we weren't allowed to EAT there! We had called before going to ask if we can go as a large group with kids, as we were there to celebrate an undefeated season of winter soccer. We were told to come in that it would be fine. Well ...we arrived there the next day and since it was BYO we decided to bring some wine and beer along, and that is when they told us we couldn't eat in the main dining room and we needed to eat fast and go. Basically kicking us out! I believe this was either the owner or the manager. Now who in their right mind tells a Party of 20+ people they need to eat quick and leave...so ridiculous! i have worked in the restaurant business for 12 years and I would never do that to a customer. i just wanted to update because we go here so much that it feels like going to a family members house. everyone that works here, owners included, are always so super nice and accommodating. right after the snow storm a few weeks back we walked up from our house and stopped in, but on our way went to the liquor store in the same complex for a bottle of wine because they're BYOB and thats AWESOME. well, when we came back they had set the table for us and there were wine glasses waiting, after a long arduous day of shoveling that was such a welcome sight to see, i could've cried. but anyway, THE FOOD. Oh. My. God. the food. The grilled calamar is .. amazing! When they have the haddock cakes special, you should definitely get that because its amazing. I pretty much always think about the seafood soup too, it's so flavorful and full of seafood that it could be a meal, but why stop there when you could get the shrimp parm, veal parm, really any parm.. they're all good. The desserts are fantastic too, the italian cheesecake is amazing. My boyfriend is not really a huge fan of desserts, and he LOVES the cheesecake with a nice cappuccino- that of course they make perfectly. We are huge fans of this place and will definitely keep coming here. read more
