Haven't been to La Tolteco in many, many years. What a change! We walked in, they have tables and booths, and a bar! Seating at the bar and on the backside too which has a nicer small seating area. NICE!! They have 5 tv's in the bar area which was cool cuz we came to see the Fifa game. The chips weren't my favorite, baked and cold. But the salsas were good. The bartender/server was on it.. The food.. I ordered taquitos which chunky guac ala cart. My guy ordered the shrimp ceviche. Both meals were very good. Will definitely return..

Local spot we go to every once in a while. Love that we can sit down and enjoy some chips and salsa while we wait for our food. I usually get the compuesta (sp?) with shredded beef. This time I got a side of chile relleno and street tacos. The meat in the taco was seasoned well. Will definitely get it again. I topped it with the creamy guacamole- yum! The hubs got a quesadilla and he enjoyed it. Service is always great and I love the homey atmosphere.

I've driven by this place 10+ years. I always assumed it was a grocery store not a restaurant. Today I popped in for an early dinner after my niece's soccer game. There's a private parking lot with plenty of parking. Her entire team dined together. The team ended up taking up the patio area. When you walk in, turn right. You must order at the register before taking a seat. Pricing is reasonable. Food is decent. The guac could use some salt. The chips could use less salt. My sister and I each ordered the enchilada plate served with beans and rice. She ordered chicken and I ordered beef. We both got red sauce and a side of guac to share. After ordering, you pick up your chips, guac, and drink. Then sit somewhere and they'll bring you your food. The food was good. However, I was disappointed that it only came with one enchilada. It was alright, but doesn't taste authentic. I really wanted tacos, but I saw on Yelp their tacos are not authentic. They're served in a fried tortilla which is very American. Would I return? Sure. Decent food. Decent price. But it won't blow your mind.

La Tolteca is a classic in this area. The fresh ground corn products are amazing. We've gotten prepared masa to make tamales and it came out moist. The fresh fried chips taste like corn and salsa are delicious and a great addition to a party since you can get pint, quart, etc. I've never dined here, always gotten take away. But parking is easy with a large free lot.

Chips tastes weird and bland like they are from commercial bags and the hard shelled tacos taste like they are not freshly cooked. I doubt I will return. There are too many other Mexican eateries with better quality than this place. Salsa tastes like it's from a jar. Nothing great about LT anymore. Sad.

Friends love this place, very thin carne asada and yet they were delicious. I got the de la olla beans, and their salsa is delicious. Service - you order and they bring the food out to you. Ambiance is chill, semi loud with so many people but overall it's great!

We pass this place all the time and finally decided to stop in. It's a solid spot and is what you would expect from Mexican-American cuisine. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is an 'order at the counter' setup where they bring the food to your table. The space itself is open and clean, making it a great choice for a large group or just a casual meetup. Definitely worth a visit!

1/2/2026 3pm Placed order at the counter for 2 enchilada plate and combo plate. Received our cups, chips and salsa with a side of chunky guacamole Service is friendly and easy. 3:30 received our order and tried all the things. Chile verde was good on flavor and texture. Cheese enchilada good. Taquito and taco, nice crispy set up, good portion, shredded beef is on the dry side but you can cover that in sauce if you want. I will stick to other items I enjoy more. My top are still pork tamale and cheese enchilada. Place was packed and is definitively a community institution with 70 years of history. Happy New Year!

As a regular here, the quality is pretty consistent. I ordered the beef enchilada plate with red sauce and it didn't disappoint. I was extra satisfied because my chips tasted fresh and crunchy. Sometimes the chips taste a bit dated which is a bummer. I would recommend this dish because the beef is always tender and flavorful. The rice and beans hit the spot too!

The food was delicious I had a taco and an enchilada plate. There is a bar, a large restaurant area, and seating is also outside. The ladies behind the counter were very nice. Their margaritas were a great added treat. Stop by and try some authentic Mexican food.

We were here in 2022 and had a great meal. This time surprised by having to wait in line to order. Being Saturday night it was pretty packed. We were kept entertained while waiting in line by the booth of small children seated away from their parents who kept moving between the two tables and a few near misses with staff delivering food. My daughter liked her carnita plate and I enjoyed my chili relleno. Not sure if this is repeatable next we are in town.

I ordered the burrito with special hot sauce and cheese, jalapeño wet style. The style was a bit different than what I'm used to, but the flavors were still solid. I do wish the lettuce had been thicker for more crunch, and the steak cut into more cube-sized, chewy pieces rather than strip-like and flaky. Everything complemented each other well, and the service was exceptional--friendly, fast, and attentive. That said, it felt like it was missing a little something in terms of overall taste. It might be because I tried a new style this time, so next time I'll probably stick to a more traditional burrito without the wet variation.

Such a cute spot! Met up with a friend here to catch up for breakfast. We grabbed a table outside…read moreand servers took order and brought out food quickly. We were sad to not see any cocktails yet, hopefully mimosas coming soon. I tried the horchata and the signature chilaquiles. Everything was great, fresh ingredients. Good food and good company!

Before I go into the bad, of which there is plenty, let me preface this by saying that despite a…read morewave of 1 star reviews the place was packed on a Tuesday at 10 am. So do with that as you will. Locals must think this is good food. Located in a tiny corner strip mall on a desolate street is this little breakfast/brunch place. I wish I had listened to the 1 star reviews and not gone in. I especially wish I had seen that Yelp had their health listing rated at C before I ordered. Isn't it the law that a restaurant must display their health rating in the window, cause it wasn't displayed anywhere to be seen. So first they brought out a large jug of water with some fruit slices and mint in it. Would've been nice if the water wasn't room temperature. Is the ice machine not working? Then came the best part of the entire meal - my hazelnut latte. The coffee was good and the cup is gigantic. My teen had the french toast, eggs (scrambled), and bacon plate. The one slice of french toast was okay but nothing special. The eggs were bland and lacking any seasoning including salt and pepper. The bacon, of which I got a side for myself, too, was absolutely disgusting. At first I thought the bacon had been cooked possibly on a dirty grill in old grease or right after something else had been cooked, as it had a horrendous aftertaste like rotten meat and sweaty gym socks. They made a new plate but this one was raw, despite being ordered well done and crispy. Raw. And it absolutely stunk. That was when I came to think it might be uncured pork belly like you get a Korean KBBQ and not bacon at all. Luckily they cancelled the order. I also got a side of the breakfast (rosemary) potatoes, which I also ordered crispy and well done but arrived as a scoop of mush. They tasted okay but I saw crispy potatoes at numerous other tables. Don't know why they couldn't cook as ordered. I also had the dutch baby. I'm sorry but this is a dessert bread pudding and not a real dutch baby pancake. The inside should be airy and fluffy, not sopping wet. I'm not sure if the inside was undercooked and possibly raw dough or if they make it with some sweetened cream inside. It was not good, and it was way too sweet. Instant diabetes sweet. I will never go back. I strongly recommend that all people stay as far away as possible. The service was good - friendly and attentive, but what good is that when the food is so awful? I also had severe stabbing pains in my stomach for a couple hours after getting home. Avoid at all costs!

Major shout out to JAY!!! HE IS THE MAN!!! I've been wanting to try out Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos…read morefor a LONG time and I was having a workshop this morning for students so I thought this would be the PERFECT time to do so. But I needed 6-7 breakfast burritos cut in half and individually wrapped by 730a and they open at 7am. I was concerned and didn't want to overload the kitchen right as they opened so I ended up calling the night before to confirm the best way to place an order of that size in the morning. The woman on the phone told me I could call at 630-645a to place that order because the cooks would be there and that they receive orders larger than mine all the time so I would be fine! Okay so we're back, fast forward to THIS morning! I called and Jay answered the phone around 645a and was seriously the MOST HELPFUL and attentive person at any restaurant I've ever spoken with that early in the morning. He told me my order would be no problem at all and that he would have it ready by 730am. I told him my order was for a workshop and so he told me he would arrange it nicely in a box, write the names on each burrito, and make it look professional, and I was so grateful that he offered that because I had no idea that was an option. I ordered 4 Haus Burritos and the 2 Bronco Burritos (10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND)!! Little did I know until I got to Dog Haus/Badass Breakfast Burritos that Jay was making the burritos as well! Not only did he have my order ready on-time, but they were ready like 10-15 minutes earlier than the time I requested! I was amazed. Jay gave INCREDIBLE customer service, he was FAST and made the MEANEST and most DELICIOUS breakfast burritos I've ever had like EVER!! My workshop was a HIT thanks to him and my morning was made thanks to his hospitality and attentiveness. BBB is my new go-to spot for breakfast burritos and it should be YOURS TOO!! Appreciate you, Jay!!

Packed with eggs, veggies, and a blend of savory sauces, it's both filling and flavorful. We stubbled on this place after a soccer game (we won). The addition of impossible sausage and avocado makes it a fantastic vegetarian-friendly option, ensuring everyone can enjoy a hearty breakfast. It's great to see places embracing diverse diets while still delivering deliciousness at the same time!!
