Never had drinks from a food truck before. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. They're Latina family owned and are super nice. I got their unique and popular bubulubu lattte and Nutella strawberry churros to try. Never had the Spanish bubulubu snack but this latte just tasted like really strong bitter coffee. I'm not much of a coffee person so this wasn't for me. You'd probably like it if you were really into coffee tho. At least I liked the churros. Made, to order, sugary, crispity crunchy with a decent amount of strawberries and Nutella. They were a bit on the harder side tho. I think I just ordered wrong cuz for me overall this place eh. Bubulubu latte $6.25 Nutella strawberry churros $9.25

On a Saturday afternoon in February, I was in temple city and drove by to this light green food truck. I parked on the street and looked at their menu. They make breakfast burritos all day, coffees, lemonades, churros, bread pudding. The owner seems nice and he took my order-churro, bread pudding, dragonfruit orba drink. Next more people came and ordered breakfast burritos which must be a popular item. The churros of 3 was lightly fried and gust of sugar. It was delicious and hit the spot. I also sample the dragon fruit drink and that was refreshing. I saved the bread pudding for hubby. Next time I should order a breakfast burrito.

Stopped here after the gym at around 4pm, staff was really friendly & accommodating to us! However the food bites were a bit underwhelming unfortunately. We ordered a la vida burrito, churro bites, & a seasonal pastry which was a pistachio crunch croissant. la vida burrito: 3/5, it was hot meaning they cooked it fresh which i enjoyed, but it was a little lacking in satisfaction/flavor, nothing too crazy. on the skinnier side as well. i do like that they cut in half knowing we were going to share, that was considerate of em. churro bites: 2.5/5 cinnamon sugar flavor was good, though churro itself felt overcooked & too hard to bite than usual too. pistachio crunch croissant: 2.5/5. it tasted really stale and hard to bite. at first, i was wondering where much of the pistachio flavor was bc i did not bite into any cream until the latter half of my croissant. the pistachio cream part redeemed itself but still cannot get over how stale it tasted which ruined my experience.. Overall, I appreciated the service & I liked their cute side table decor. I'm hoping they improve on freshness & quality for the future!

I ordered almond tostadido mocha $6.25+tax ($6.93) after seeing these 3 ladies standing by the truck. I asked for less sweet and it was just perfect amount of sweetness and very silky tasting latte! Julio who makes the drink inside the truck was super nice and friendly! They even have this little table set outside. The price isn't cheap so I'm not sure if people would be willing to pay the money especially there's no seating available. I would definitely be back to purchase more! Hopefully Julio does well for himself to get a space to have these delicious drinks for more people!!

[3.5 stars] - i was able to try the pistachio croissant and not gonna lie, it tasted stale and it lacked flavor. there is only filling in a small portion of the croissant which isn't ideal because honestly it needed more flavor to balance it out. also, i got the la vida burrito as well & it was very interesting because there was a churro inside of the burrito which surprisingly tasted good! (but also didn't expect). lastly, i got some churro bites & they were yummy and decent, but some of them were overcooked and too crunchy.

Everything was phenomenal. Service was quick and friendly. My dulce de leche latte was perfect. The ambiance was charming and so was the staff. I was nearby picking up a Penseke moving truck with my bestie and we both were in desperate need of coffee. La Vida Latte was at the right spot at the right time, or maybe it was us being at the right spot at the right time. Needless to say, this is a family owned business and I couldn't be happier to support. Fresh coffee, local, family owned, and welcoming. Highly recommend and I'll be back to try the breakfast burrito, churros, and almond croissants.

I was looking around for this little coffee shop and found that la vida latte is a food truck. The horchata latte is so good. I love my coffees heavy and creamy, and this did not disappoint. I also ordered a dulce latte with oatmilk. I will definitely return for the horchata drink again and maybe try the mazapan too.

I'm always conflicted between sweet or savory for breakfast, but this solves all my problems. The banana mac nut pancakes were perfect - so fluffy, not too sweet, so many bits of macadamia. Chimichurri steak was yummy, but I'll try ordering it medium rare next time if they allow me to. All this for $24 is such a steal. Chicken katsu with rice and mac salad: 5/5. I ordered the Macnut banana pancake. The portion was huge, I could only finish half. The flavors are ok, could be better. I miss the syrup options in Hawaii... here they only have maple syrup. The macadamia nuts were too soft. In Hawaii there was much more crunch to the pancakes. My family ordered the Kailua pork omelet, soft shell crab pancake and other items. Had a dinner reservation with some girlfriends celebrating two of their birthdays. The restaurant itself isn't too big but it does a pack a nice punch. Cute patio out front that takes some of the sidewalks and streets. Plenty of heat lamps which helped with the chilly nights. We got seated at one of the tables on the patios which was nice. Didn't really utilize inside area except for the restroom which it's quite cute in there. The rooms were pretty well decorated and executed. Nice bar area too. Like mentioned, we got seated on the patio and the heat lamps were great. Down to the menus, it's quite limited on dishes. Seemed like there were more shared plates versus the entrees. Drinks, it was fairly decent with their cocktails and wine. Service at the beginning was great. The staff were amazing and very friendly. We didn't order right away as we were still waiting for the last one to show. But did start off with some drinks. It didn't take that long for the first round which was nice. Food wise, the shared plate was a mixture of everything. Some of the olives, which is exactly what it is. The Belgian fries, nice thick cut fries with shredded pecorino cheese and a nice aioli sauce. We ended up getting a second order of it. The albacore tuna crudo was a hit which was really tasty. Chili ginger relish, mint and shallot, can't go wrong with that. Lastly the meatballs, tasty and very great for sharing. Entrees, the pan seared sea bass which I loved. Portion is pretty tiny which also seemed like they were a shared plate. Almost tapas styled. Nice chimichurri sauce and a side salad. The chicken Milanese also with a side salad of arugula. Simple dish but quite tasty. One of the salads that was somewhat hyped up by the waitress but it was just a salad. Decent but nothing major to rave about...lol... also the confit oyster mushrooms was major hit. Something that simple but quite tasty. And lastly the pan con tomate, rustic sourdough with tomatoes and burrata. Tasty as well. Overall the meal was good. From there, the second round of drinks did take a long time to arrive and with then plates that we shared, trying to get someone to clear the plates was another thing. Took a long for someone to clear the table before more items came. Even when the entrees came, all the empty starter plates were still there. And if someone did clear the plates, some was still left on the table. Finishing off the night, we did have the dessert which we tried all three. As it was two of our girlfriends birthday, they brought out a little bubbly for us to celebrate with the dessert. That was quite sweet and nice. Honestly opinion with the dessert, they were just ok. Nothing major to rave about. We tried all three on the menu and they were just ok. Overall, the food was great. Service was nice and the staffs were all very friendly. It did take a while for plates to get cleared from the table and second round did take a while, but it was manageable. It was a sweet gesture with the bubbly with the dessert which was greatly appreciated. The place is nice and great for catching up. Menu is limited and portions are quite small. You would have to get a good amount for sharing. Entrees, depending on what you order is small as well. But we enjoyed ourself.

Very obliging and accommodating. Food: 5 stars, surprisingly good, right amount for us. I was full but I can see where other reviewers say portions are small. It's small if u're a heavy eater. But the quality is definitely there. Ambiance: trendy, high energy, casual vibes where u can lounge and have a beer while munching on fries...or u can choose to be poshy and have a glass of wine with a salad and Chilean sea bass. It's flexible to accommodate both as there are different sections. Parking: street metered 1 hour parking. 3 stars, not their fault but 1 hour is simply not enough. It can get super busy and the server can be pulled left and right, so cut them some slack during super busy hours. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended .

But with each new Hong Kong style restaurant I try, the more expansive my view, and belly, get. Alice's Kitchen, specifically this one in Temple City, was a refreshing look at not just the food but the vibe as well. Design - Falling into a different world Walking into Alice's Kitchen from the back parking lot is like walking into a vibrant food court back in the 1980s. Bright neon signs are placed throughout the dining room floor, faux food stalls can be seen to give more of a community feel to the inside, and I love the sprawl of different props of newspapers, t-shirts hung on clotheslines, and big advertisements on the walls like you might see in a food court. It really elevated the atmosphere of the space and I loved their branded orange plates, bowls, spoons, and chopsticks. It gave whimsy to this place. Staff - Cool The staff here are like what you expect from any Chinese restaurant. You try to flag one down or grab their attention with your wandering eyes and when they come over you can tell them what you want. They take your order and usually within 5-7 minutes you'll start to see your food heading your way. Perfect for anyone hungry and dying to eat right away. When you ask for to-go boxes at the end of the meal (you definitely will) moments after you get your food packed someone will appear with a tablet ready for you to pay right there at the table. Talk about speed. Food - Onions galore I see that in Hong Kong cuisine there is this mix match of Western and Chinese tastes put together. This fusion of ideas is what brings something like their large pineapple bun sandwiches to existence. We got the BBQ pork (char siu) pineapple bun sandwich and this came warm with a fried egg, slab of butter, generous slices of BBQ pork, and a savory sauce. For one person, this could be a good main dish to be accompanied by a side. For this split between two people, this is a savory sweet dish perfect to wet the appetite. Highly recommend getting one of these. The sweet & sour pork was nostalgic to me. Served with chunks of white onion, green peppers, and pineapple the flavor of this reminded me very much of the sweet & sour pork Chinese-Korean restaurants serve, except for the color being different and no cabbage in the sauce. It has the sweetness brought out by the pineapple but still a bit of tang and deep savoriness of the pork with each bite. The onions were undercooked and you'll see this as a pattern for all their dishes containing onions. The French style filet mignon chunks were fantastic. Juicy and flavorful, each bite makes the mouth water more and more and the texture gave such pleasant mouth feels. The fried basil accompanying it also gave a burst of freshness and herbacious flavors. Just be careful not to accidentally bite into a chunk of ginger. Unless you love ginger. Then go right ahead. The beef chow fun with black bean sauce was great. Nice balance of their black bean sauce with the textures of the chunks of beef, the onions and peppers in this add a nice crunch and difference in flavor that balances all the savoriness. The tofu with spiced salt was also incredible. When I ate this still piping hot the crisp exterior with the hot soft interior made me smile. The spiced coating was flavorful and with some rice it gives a nice balance with each bite. Final Thoughts With all the food we got for dinner, I'm sure I leaned more into the Chinese cuisine side than the Hong Kong side. However, I was happy with the quality and depth of flavors in everything I had. Alice's Kitchen has definitely been one of the better Hong Kong restaurants I've had and I'm excited to explore more of this cuisine in the future. Can't wait to come back!

This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color.
