    Vouvray is my favorite wine!!!

What's the deal with airport food? Can't it be decent? This one in particular could be a gem of a restaurant if they cared about the customers instead of making money! I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The waitress and she recognized me from the other restaurants in the JetBlue terminal which means they are owned by JFK or JetBlue so that explains the lack of quality at all of these airport pseudo eateries. I was working up an appetite getting my steps in so I ordered mussels. They were bland and flavorless even after I added salt and lemon. Waitress asked if I wanted to send them back but there wasn't anything else that was standing out. I ate them anyway and got the bill which was supposed to be 20% off if you use your JetBlue credit card. Well, it wasn't and the total was $25 including tax. She disappeared for a solid 10 minutes and I waited for her to come back. I was the only person there. I waited longer then when she finally appeared, I asked her to take off the 20%' which took an extra 15 minutes. She had to get the manager to adjust it. I guess it's a good thing that my flight was delayed or I might have missed it! Ridiculous wait time for less than mediocre mussels! Not going back anytime soon

Honestly, it is a restaurant in an airport. Stick with french fries & alcohol & you will be fine. (The french fries are only OK) They have 7 drinks on the menu and of course not all of the ingredients to make the one I want! I have had much worse experiences eating at T5. Grateful for a not terrible experience.

It seems all the restaurant in the front of terminal 5 are owned by the same company. This is their French café. The food is just fair and like a typical airport restaurant, overpriced.

Very good was a little hesitant but glad I made the choice. Better then the food court!

I ordered UberEats from them before and was blown away by the tremendous offerings and generous portions. I decided to dine in and it was even better! The restaurant is located on the busy Northern Blvd between Morgan and Glenwood. The inside has a 19th century French ambiance, decorated with French posters, carpeted floors and a cozy warm dining area. Don't worry about the never ending traffic noise, commotion , and construction coming from outside. The calm and peaceful ambiance along with the music playing in the restaurant canceled out all the exterior noise. I opted in for their lunch buffet, which offered a ton of food for an amazing $18.95 deal which you can hardly find in this day and age. The restaurant gave a nice basket of warm bread with a generous amount of butter in a ramekin followed by a really good Tunisian salad with a little bit of everything. (fresh greens, cooked carrots, chickpea salad, diced cucumbers peppers and their take on the Ratatouille-- really good) I was given the option of getting their daily soup or the French Onion Soup with an up charge. I took the French option soup without any hesitation. Last time I had a good French onion soup was back when I attended college in upstate. Glad I got to try the one from here. The onion soup has an abundance of flavor with a generous amount of melted cheese and onions. The buffet selections were at the table. It came with two entrees (a chicken and a beef) cooked vegetables, mussels, mixed rice, cheese selection and slices bread cake. The entrees vary each day so be sure to call in and check. The chicken was moist, and juicy, served with a mushroom gravy. Similar to a Chicken Marsala dish. The stewed beef with mushrooms was nice and soft. The veggies included carrots and onions. The mussels were cooked to perfection, simmered in a nice buttery sauce. The meal also includes a cup of coffee or tea. What a great way to finish the meal. Marie was super nice and friendly. She gave me some insights on the food and the different menus they have on different days. A great establishment going strong for 47 years! Thank you Marie for everything. I will definitely be returning with my family.

The staff were very friendly throughout our evening and the staff even offered more free bread which my husband loved. And it was good - fresh and warm. We also took advantage of getting one of their $30 bottles of wine and it was quite good. The majority of their wine list is French wine, which is great, because they definitely isn't always the case with French restaurants. The French onion soup was quite good. So was the filet au poive. The raspberry tart was nothing special, just dough and raspberry jam, I wouldn't order it again. Everything else was great though and I'd definitely come here again!

Typical in NY is the sardine effect in dining. I admire people who can sit right on top of someone and completely drown out the person next to them. I, on the other hand, hate this. So, when I dine out, I always go when dinner service has just begun; around 6pm. French food is an indulgence and Tournesol is the end all and be all of French Bistros. A restaurant I love and respect. A neighborhood gem. A Long Island City Establishment. I was also able to secure us a last minute reservation at 1:45p which we may have waited a minute or two more? We chatted with the hostess as she complimented both of our purses and she was very friendly. So off Steph and I went with hungry stomachs as we had arrangements to hit YAAAS after lunch. We already agreed on splitting the following: - Cream Tea: which is a basket of scones (which we both took home two each and the accoutrements that go with said scones) and a pot of tea. - Burrata & Fried Eggplant Salad: the salad in our opinion could've used more dressing and the Burrata needed either more dressing or salt. As the waitress seemed to be rather busy we opted for the more salt option. Fried eggplant was definitely fried and nice and crispy. - Turkey & Goat Cheese Sandwich: an interesting sandwich to say the least. Some bites I felt like I tasted straight up cranberry compote other bites straight goat cheese. The side salad with the generous sprinkling of goat cheese and dressing was delicious. I think if we came back again I'd definitely be interested in high tea and their little cheese board we saw. The ambiance of Chat Noir is rather girly but I'm more than good with that. Definitely cute. We also spotted a few ladies with cute hats on which even though it wasn't my personal experience made it very cute. Will I be back? You betcha when I'm in the area with my girly.
