My boyfriend and I spent New Years Eve here and did the full course pre-fix menu for a spectacular dinner. To start, La Vista's staff is some of the most professional and customer oriented people I've ever met. The General Manager; Kos, is a lively individual who made sure to check up on our table multiple times on top of keeping his staff organized and on point throughout the night. When it came time to order food, we looked over the menu and saw a scrumptious selection of entrees. My boyfriend wanted to order the lobster dish and was told that they had run out. This was completely understandable because we had come much later in the night and they had been extremely busy throughout the day/night. Kos told us that because the Lobster ran out, he had substituted another item which was to be even better than the Lobster; Stuffed Dover Sole w/ Crab & Shrimp. Being the fish lovers that he is, he couldn't resist. As food began hitting the table we instantly noticed the amount of perfection put into each plate. Your food comes out to you exactly at the moment its best to be served. There are no wait times in the back of the kitchen thats for sure! Their head chef and owner Remy is an absolute artist in the kitchen. Each plate is beautifully presented and paired with the best ingredients. The food looks great and tastes even better! When our main courses arrived we both were in awe. My boyfriend, before a little upset that he had been looking towards having lobster, was very surprised at how delicious the Dover Sole was. Cooked to perfection, this thick piece of succulent fish was stuffed with delicious fresh crab and large shrimp, and served on a plush bed of parmesan risotto. It completely blew his mind! You couldn't get a better fish dish even if you were right by the sea! Now fully satisfied with our very robust meal we began to shift our focus to the entertainment they had for the night. Up in the front of the restaurant was the Jay Prince Band, a very talented group of musicians and singers who got the whole place feeling lively and fun. Everyone around us was up and dancing! Theres few times that you'll see a fine dining restaurant turn into such an exciting atmosphere and La Vista Ristorante hit it right on the head! At the end of the night they had a champagne toast and everyone was excited for 2018! The Owner and Staff gathered everyone together and raised a toast to the new year! It was a special moment indeed, we haven't felt this great about being out at a restaurant in a long time! It is a great pleasure to say that La Vista Ristorante Italiano is the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to! My husband and I were so impressed by the service tonight at La Vista and the amazing delicious food. The renovation was absolutely amazing. We had the lucky draw of sitting close to the new fireplace. It was awesome since it was such a bitter rainy cold night. I had the salmon that was absolutely out of this world. Truly the best salmon I have ever had at a restaurant! It was served with pollenta and haricots. The salmon was so tender and in a delicious, not too sweet, sauce. My husband had a chicken dish that was equally delightful. The wait staff was beyond attentive to our needs. Kudos to Kos, The restaurant Manager. La Vista Restaurant is probably one of my favorite places to dine with my wife and kids, I've been going to La Vista since they opened up and their style of cooking and service is incredible because it is very traditional and different from other restaurants and what I love the most it is a family restaurant and having a family of my own, I think it's an incredible thing for a family to work together and spend time together. What I find very interesting and important is how the chef comes out and greets us and makes sure that the service and food is to our liking and the part where he brings his own hand made peppers to each table and tells us his history of becoming a chef. I recommend La Vista to anyone looking for fine dining traditional Italian restaurant and a warm comfortable atmosphere! read more

A real gem of a restaurant. Very stylishly decorated, comfortable and warm. Service, from the greeter to the waiter to the owner was top shelf. However, the real gem is the food. Start with a plate of parmigiano reggiano chunk, olives, and pepers brought to the table. The menu is not huge but has a great deal of variety in the primi and secundo courses. Entres are supplemented by wonderful daily specials. We had two pastas -- one with lobster and the other with squid -- that were at once simple and elegant. I used to go to Nino's all the time. The new owners have a new name, lovely renovations, similar menu, higher prices and very, very long waits for service. I doubt the prices will go down, but do hope the service improves. It seems that the owner is in the kitchen, so the waitstaff takes their time wandering around in the dining room. The food here was incredible, I got the meatballs and a Caesar salad, and the service was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the hostess and waiters that served me. I'd highly recommend coming in and trying this place out because it's 10/10. Great stuff going on in R House.

We split the Clams Oreganato which were very good. I had the Chicken Francese entree, and enjoyed it. The wife got salmon Piccata, a very large portion of salmon filet and a generous portion of spinach. They have a limited offering of bottled beer and wine. The service was okay. This place is probably a good date venue, old time Italian music and cozy surroundings.
