5 Stars - A Must-Visit Lago in Meredith is an absolute gem--beautifully appointed and perfectly perched right on Lake Winnipesaukee, with breathtaking sunset views. Whether you're here for a romantic dinner or just a cocktail at the bar, this place nails it every time. The food? Fantastic. The calamari is next-level, with artichoke and jalapeños that surprise in the best way. We've tried a bit of everything--the crab-stuffed sole, salmon with gnocchi, steak--and every dish has been a hit. Seriously, not a weak spot on the menu. As California wine snobs (), the wine list--thoughtful and solid. And whatever you do, don't skip dessert. The bourbon pecan cannoli is out of this world. Get it while it's in season! Huge shoutout to Daniel, our server--he made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for, which just elevated the whole experience. Lago has it all: stellar food, great vibes, amazing service, and unforgettable views. Can't wait to come back!

I was looking for a restaurant for a party of 17 in the lake region for a family reunion and reached out to Lago. Rianna, their event coordinator, was friendly and communicative throughout the process providing us with pictures of the space and different set menus. We were provided 3 set menus and decided on B which had salmon, short rib, and chicken as entrees. Each set comes with shared appetizers, salads, entrees, and desserts. Our server Nicole was an absolute rockstar. She was incredibly friendly and kind. She answered all our questions and accommodated for the 3 children (under 8) we had as well as one dietary restriction. Two of my family members got martinis which she served tableside which was such a treat for everyone to watch. Thank you, Nicole! As for food, the appetizers were great. The bruschetta and calamari got us ready for the meal and the arugula salad was a delight. I particularly loved the candied walnuts. I ordered the short rib and my wife got the mango chili salmon. The short rib was tender and perfectly cooked, and the potatoes and carrots complimented the protein. It was rustic comfort food at its best. The salmon was unlike any other salmon I have had before. The flavors and the textures of the 3 components paired so well. It was my favorite bite of the meal! If that wasn't enough, the meal ended with chocolate espresso beans, a cup of tiramisu, coffee, and a shot of limoncello. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the incredible view of the lake. It was honestly a flawless experience. My wife and I talked about the meal on the drive home and can't wait to return if we are ever in the lake region again.

Being in central New Hampshire - an appropriate "nice dinner out" can sometimes be challenging, especially later in the evening. After a very long day of much travel, we happened up Lago as a recommendation on Yelp. Why the heck not? Amiright? First, for a Thursday night, the place was packed. I honestly thought we were getting turned away when we walked in... but no, the hostess pulled a miracle and nearly immediately got us seated. Our waitress, bless her heart I can't remember her name, even though we walked in so close to closing... she greeted us with a smile. I was borderline in tears I was so exhausted and she took the entire experience and turned it on a dime. Cheery, smiles, and a personality as big as the entire restaurant. Our drinks hit the table within minutes. They never ran dry. The martini was on-point and just what I needed to settle and tie-up the ends of the day! We started with the Tuna Tartare w/ avocado mousse. Lord. I still think about that constantly. ON POINT. For dinner my partner had the Orecchiette Sausage Broccolini (albeit, I feel like his was asparagus vs broccoli? Maybe I'm mistaken). I had the Piccata. Both meals were absolutely delightful. Beautifully plated and served piping hot... I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. The staff, drinks, price-point, ambiance, and food was absolutely perfect and I can't sing their praises enough. Thanks to everyone at Lago for a wonderful experience, we'll look forward to visiting again soon!

100% would come back here. We had salad, mussels, Veal Milanese and Scallops. All were hot, flavorful and big portions. Took some pictures but missed my hubbys scallops. Hidden gem!

The staff was very friendly. When you enter, check out the table across from the hostess stand. They have crackers and a different daily cheese choice. You just take a thick slide and bring it to your table. Or maybe, if you have to wait (which we did not have to), you can enjoy in the lobby. Ordered the black raspberry limoncello, which was delicious. Husband ordered the cucumber special drink and said it was just okay. I had the burrata and bruscetta appetizer and enjoyed with GF Flatbread wedges (instead of the usual crisps). It was delicious. Husband got the large meatball appetizer, which was enjoyable. He had to control himself to not eat all 3 and will save later to put over some pasta at home. He also said the bread and olive oil to star was delicious. I will have to take his word for it since I am GF. As for the entrees, we were not impressed. Husband ordered the buccatini and burrata pasta dish. They were out of buccatini and substituted with linguini. They forgot to put the pasta over marinara and put way too many chili pepper flakes on the dish. It was inedible. I ordered the scallops over a butternut caponata and a maple sweet potato pretty and a fennel and apple slaw. The puree tasted like strong cumin (no maple taste at all), and the slaw was very vinegary. Scallops were cooked perfectly. I would recommend to just have the scallops and the caponata and skip the puree and slaw. For dessert - white chocolate and raspberry gelato and chocolate cake. Side note - their tap water was actually quite good and is served in a glass bottle at the table. Reminded me of NYC water.

This is a lovely restaurant that sits alongside Meredith Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee. There are a number of seating choices including bar, high top and conventional tables, many with views of the lake. This time of the year, the views of the snow-covered frozen lake are gorgeous. I wish I could say the same thing about our dinner, which frankly was a disappointment. The menu includes a good variety of starters, appetizers, salads, handhelds, and entrees. Two of us ordered the Flat Iron Steak. I realize this is usually a chewier cut of meat, but this was so tough it was inedible. Our server and the manager both could not have been nicer in terms of how they handled this as I returned mine and was quickly brought a different dinner- a French Dip sandwich. This was tasty but there was more bread than roast beef. The other person chose to keep her flat iron streak, but I could tell it was very difficult to cut and chew. Another ordered the Chicken Milanese Salad which included arugula, peppers, roasted tomatoes and olives in a balsamic dressing. The Parmesan crusted pan fried chicken came over-done but that meal was well-liked. The service and the ambiance were stellar.

Our server wasn't far behind since he took our drink requests quickly as well. He was friendly, patient and maintained good eye contact. I ordered the turkey broccoli Alfredo, my husband ordered the turkey dinner with white meat. First off, the carrot radish/dip thing they serve on crackers are so incredibly addicting. I'd order a jar but I was sure it wouldn't make it to the car. Our server came back with bread and the corn bread is to die for. It's very sweet (I'm guessing maple?) and very soft and crumbly. Hubby said the bread rolls with butter were also good. I do appreciate they give you options and don't force people one type of bread. As for the main course, I almost wish I had two stomachs because they turkey Alfredo was delicious. Unfortunately I couldn't eat it all since they give you a lot on a plate. Hubbys dinner was equally delicious and he pretty much cleaned the plate. The environment is a little dated but in a way where it's part of the esthetic. It's very clean and well maintained. You're in New Hampshire so there's a certain style that people expect in this area. With all the things you can do in this area, make sure to leave time for a fantastic meal here!

Now, technically I did come here in 2024 but I was violently ill (this had nothing to do with them, it was vertigo) so I was stoked to finally sit down and give Hart's a chance. This place has a very, very, very strong "New England Vibe" to it and it's definitely a comfortable environment. I live in LA now so restaurants that look like this are far and few between. This massive restaurant has a gift shop, multiple huge rooms with seating, and a pretty large menu with all the turkey goods (and other things) you could possibly want someones mother to make you. I wanted to order what this place is known for so I ordered a small turkey plate that came with stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and an order of poutine on the side. Let's get into my thoughts. Turkey- The turkey was solid enough. Turkey isn't exactly the most flavourful meat on the planet so as long as its cooked, it's going to taste like turkey and I have really no complaints there. Mashed Potatoes with Gravy- The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted so much to me like what we were served in school for thanksgiving that I thought one of my old teachers was going to write me up for wearing a hat at the table. Was it bad? No, but it certainly didn't give me much to go "wow, this is so good" at. Stuffing- Eh, it was fine, but not something I need again. Poutine- This is really the punch in the gut for me. My poutine came out first and as you can see from the photo, it's missing what literally makes it poutine as they straight up just didn't put gravy on it. Like, someone looked at the french fries with cheese curds on top and went "yeah, this seems right". Needless to say this was bad. As a proud Canadian, I died inside a little. The worst part is my brothers poutine came out minutes later with gravy on it, like, huh? Overall, Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant seems like a small town place for big families. My experience here wasn't great and I can't see wanting to come back here on future trips to New Hampshire. The staff here was super friendly and the restaurant itself was a cool place to be, but the mediocre food was just not it. I'm sure regardless of what I thought, my parents will definitely still be regulars here.

I stopped by The Clubhouse recently for food and to get out of the very hot and humid weather. The place was air conditioned and I sat myself at a high top table in the front section where there were several people having food and drinks. The front room has a flatscreen TV on the wall and a digital jukebox. The bar offers 6 draft beers, can beers & seltzers, wine, mixed drinks and cocktails. The food menu offers appetizers, wings, wraps, sandwiches, subs, pizza, salads, and Italian dinners (lasagna rolls, chicken parm, ravioli) with garlic bread. The prices are moderate. I got an ice water and ordered the Lasagna Rolls ($17 plus tax). My entree was served in about 12 minutes after ordering. The Lasagna was a good portion served in a long oval casserole dish with 2 chewy buttery garlic bread pieces. The lasagna had rolls of firm noodles with cheeses and ground sausage and plenty of thick red tomato sauce topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. However, the temperature of the lasagna was all over the place with the center very cold and the edges along the dish hot, but it was mostly lukewarm. I ate about 30 percent of the lasagna and boxed the rest to reheat very hot when I got home. The check was $18.45 (cash)/$19.00 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, the service here was courteous and efficient. The restaurant and bar was clean. The lasagna was hearty, but the food temperature should be hotter, especially serving food with ground meat and soft cheeses.

The bun should be toasted in butter on the grill so you get a little butter flavor since the lobster was dry. It says a little mayo was on it, where? It had a strange taste of pickle juice or something. I bet if you ordered that at Blue Bistro it would be good but not sure I'd spend double to find out. The burgers are meh, frozen and not that juicy, nachos suck, grill salmon on salad, dry and not worth it. Why can't we make real food since we know the money is being made on the drinks. The dock hands bust their ass and say Cynthia checks on them all day, they are great but I think her focus should be on turning out better food. Rant over, oh yes, we will go someplace else.
