The incredible history of truck art is shown here.
    Zak R.

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. This adorably adorned (with ethic truck art) food truck in the Presidio offers a variety of traditional Pakistani/Afghan/Indian cuisine. It's a great place to come out and spend a weekend day with friends or family with views of the bay bridge. The food doesn't lend itself super well to food truck fare because it's not good finger food. For that reason we took it home to eat. Unfortunately the falooda dessert cup spilled out of the container. If you eat here I recommend getting the wrap and drink of pink tea just to eat in one of the benches of the park.

Pretty diverse menu from food truck staples (chicken tikka masala) to food truck rarities (pani puri) and even some innovations (CTM loaded fries). While I didn't get to try the whole menu, what I ordered was a mixed experience. The pani puri was nice, but I'd probably skip the chicken leg next time. Lahori Chargha Hot Chicken: For $15, this felt lacking. It was a medium-sized chicken leg quarter, iceberg lettuce salad mix from a bag and naan. Some raw onions or chutneys sauces would have been nice. Or maybe a veggie side dish (saag?) instead of bagged salad. The menu even mentioned mint yogurt raita, but it was no where to be found. The chicken was ok, tender but kinda mild, especially considering it's billed as hot chicken. Gol Gappey aka Pani Puri: This was a rare find for a food truck. I like how it was a do-it-yourself setup instead of pre-filled puri. Kinda satisfying cracking a hole in the little puri then scooping in the nicely spiced chickpeas and potatoes. The cup of spiced tamarind water was fun too, a great way to add some moisture and extra flavor to the puri shell. Much more exciting that the typical samosa appetizer.

Food is 5/5. Ordered chapli kebab burger, falooda drink, poori halwa, chicken tikka wrap. Everything was 5/5, best chicken wrap I ever had. Poori was lil thin and crispy, chole were good but aloo sabzi was best- sweet-sour. Halwa had kevra essence in it. Service was good, didn't wait too long Cant say much about ambiance as its a food truck but yeah outer paint ia interesting

    Kashmiri pink chai
    Sydney J.

I saw their truck on top of the Presidio Tunnel Tops on Sunday, and was interested in trying the Kashmiri pink chai since I haven't seen it offered at most restaurants. They were almost out, but fortunately had enough left for me to order it. It tasted quite sweet and I feel the selection of spices tasted good with the drink. I had opted to add almond and pistachio which is optional, but I think it was a good choice since it made it taste almost like I was drinking baklava. Only downside is I wish that the cup/drink size was bigger.

chicken tikka plate was delicious (a little spicy) and the staff was very nice! would go again

    Halwa puri

They are one of the food trucks at Off the Grid. I had the halwa puri, which is a tasty and filling vegetarian combo. I'm not too familiar with Pakistani cuisine and you don't see a lot of it around here (that I know of) so it's nice to be able to try it. I do wish that they didn't use the plastic clamshell containers (bad for the environment) but maybe there aren't good alternatives for holding the curries.

Stumbled upon this Pakistani food truck while checking out tunnel tops park. It was a chilly, windy day so we were hoping to score some chai but unfortunately they were all out. The friendly truck owner convinced us to try the chapli burger and boy we did not regret it! The patty was so flavorful and came topped with a perfectly spiced sauce. We were glad to hear that the truck will be back every Sunday at presidio so we will definitely be back to try the chai and the rest of the menu!

Lahore Di Khushbo is a food truck service . We went over there this weekend at Presidio Tunnel Tops area 2 times as the food was so amazing!! We loved the halwa puri platters, samosa chaat, and chicken roast. Falooda and tea was also very good. It's home made authentic Pakistani food and brought us back to our memories from city of Lahore Owners are very friendly and professional couple. We will definitely try again with our friends. Loved the location as well ! Perfect for friends & family picnic on the weekend. Yummy food with amazing golden gate views ... what else you want for a picnic in the city

Two kinds of curries plus a generous portion of halwa - most people from the subcontinent are hopelessly attached to everything in that box!
    Tamoghna B.

Honestly, they deserve no less than 5 stars if you were to go by the food alone. We went to visit them when they were in Crissy Fields on the morning of Christmas Day but parking was surprisingly easy. The halwa poori sabji platter was simply divine. They serve two kinds of curries - one with potatoes (aloo) and another one with garbanzo (chana). The burger was possibly one of the best I've ever had, along with the fries which were incredibly crispy on the outside but nicely cooked inside. They are probably taking a short break and will return in the spring but do follow their social media handles for the latest updates. Very highly recommended.

Living la Vida Loca…read more.. It's always a good day when tacos are involved, and even a better day when they are absolutely delicious! La Vaca Birria is counter service- you order at the counter, you pick up your food at the counter. The menu is fairly simple, and who needs overly extensive when what you're ordering is hitting a 10 out of 10 in taste and flavor ?!? Working backwards, the Horchata is delicious! I often find that when I order Horchata at different restaurants, it's either been watered down, or somethings going on with it where it's locking the fullness in flavor. Chips- house made. Perfectly crunchy, definitely tasty, could have used salt or some seasoning. I still enjoyed them. I ordered three birria tacos with consommé. ( combo #4) with the plan being that I would enjoy one and have the other two later on. These were so good, that I finished all three. The meat is tender, flavorful, and the overall flavor profile super tasty. The consommé did exactly what it was supposed to do and added a layer of flavor to the tacos. I found that that's not always the case, but this was definitely the exception. The tacos were fairly light on the filling, which is why I was able to finish all three. The added bonus is the house made churro that comes in the combo. Who doesn't like a tasty churro? Services nonexistence since it's a counter situation. Are you getting the biggest bang for your buck here? No, not really. It's pretty pricey for the offerings. The meal cost pretty close to $30. Definitely not cheap eats. Go for the deliciousness!

I ordered the chicken and beef kabob plate, and while the meat was flavorful, I wish they included more hummus. At around $25- $30 per plate, I expected a more generous portion. I ordered takeout and arrived about an hour later because the app never updated to show my order was ready. Surprisingly, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and they didn't start preparing my food until I got there. I mentioned that I had placed the order an hour earlier and expected it to be ready, but the server seemed to brush off my concern, which was disappointing. One highlight was the hot sauce. I'm not sure if it's house-made or not, but it's so good. The pita, however, was a letdown. I prefer my pita soft, fluffy, and warm, but this one was hard and grainy. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We shared one breakfast platter, and it was more than enough for us. The restaurant itself is also beautiful, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal. The biggest disappointment was the Turkish coffee. I had been telling my husband how amazing authentic Turkish coffee can be because I had previously visited a Turkish café in San Mateo where the coffee was served in a traditional pot alongside Turkish delights, allowing you to refill your small cup. I expected something similar here. Instead, we each received only a tiny cup for around $5, which felt more like ordering a small espresso. It wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't live up to our expectations. The service was another area that could be improved. We arrived early and were ready to order, but we waited quite a while before anyone came to our table. During that time, I noticed another table that had arrived after us was greeted, had their order taken, and thus received their food before we were served. That was a little frustrating. One small inconvenience is that there is only one restroom for the restaurant. Despite those issues, the food was excellent, and that's what matters most. We would absolutely come back for the Turkish breakfast because it was truly delicious. Overall, I'd give this place 4 out of 5 stars. With a little improvement in service and a more memorable Turkish coffee experience, it would easily be a 5-star restaurant.

Parking for this location was very difficult, especially when you visit on a busy day. The atmosphere is moody and dark which is perfect for a date night. I ordered - Burma Chicken Mint - Nan Pia Dok - Tea leaf salad We started off with the tea salad since it was highly suggested by our waiter. I love the amount of toppings they add onto the salad and having it served table side is even better. For the salad, it was more savory and the flavor was light which helped bring out the salad more; which is a positive. The Nan Pia Dok noodles were also served table side and honestly, this was good but not quite extraordinary. Eventually halfway, the noodles lost its flavor and just felt like stir fried noodles with toppings. This was also more of a savory dish. The Burma Chicken Mint dish was also somewhat delicious but fell short towards the end as it tasted exactly what it looks like. It's not bad but does get boring fast. If you love spicy food then I highly recommend getting this; otherwise it's not really for me. The service is honestly top notch, can't really complain when the person serving you the salad is extremely friendly which breaks the awkward silence every now and then. Overall, I would definitely come back to try some of the other dishes as I'm venturing into newer territory, and honestly that's okay. The service and food was decent enough for me to give it another chance. The salad was honestly the best thing to get here.
