Bacon and blue burger with fries
Melissa D.

Really small place with great food. Burger was cooked exactly as asked. Toppings and meat were flavorful and fries were awesome, especially the garlic sauce.

These are the garlic-Parmesan fries I COULD NOT FINISH.

Killer burgers and fries (huge serving for less than $4) w great toppings and fresh bakery bun. Excellent value and a perfect stop when you're craving a stepped up burger experience, with homemade ketchup, burger sauce and garlic parm sauce. I wasn't impressed when they opened -- i take it all back!

This place is mainly a takeout location, but there are a couple of seats along the walls. We went in on Friday around 5:30 PM and there was a steady rush of take out orders coming in - we were the only ones eating in the restaurant. Lake Burger - Good burger, pillowy brioche bun, hand made patty, crisp veggies. The patty was a little on the drier side. Maybe the beef they use isa little leaner than typical? Sauce seemed to be pretty similar to thousand island dressing. Great Lake Burger - Pretty much identical to the Lake Burger, but with the fresh sliced onion and tomato replaced with caramelized onions. The onions definitely had a good amount of sugar added so it's a bit on the sweet side. Parmesan Truffle Fries - Very slight hint of truffle, quite salty but a nice crisp fry in general. This was served with some home made ketchup and aioli. Both were excellent. There's not many burger places around with homemade condiments - Lake Burger is something special. . To be honest, the food is not the best I've had (still well above average though), but I give them a lot of credit for having most (all?) locally sourced ingredients. I definitely think a restaurant like this should be supported.

I am in love with this burger!! It comes in fun wrapping. They have an offer: for every first Tuesday of every month, Some burger options are 5 dollars only. Their regular prices are $10-13$ for burgers only without frise or drinks, which is toooo pricey compared to thier small size of burger and the thin Patty. The service here is awesome! Staff were friendly and made effort to know my name on the order correctly and to pronounce it right. The place is small for dine in experience. Anyway, I enjoyed my burger so much. I will come here again. (But only when it is 5 $ offer for burger)

Place is tiny but food is spilled with flavor. The staff was nice and suggested food since it was my first time in. He also suggested I stay and eat in when I was hindering on carry out. There's only two counters so you can sit if you're in a small party. I ordered the truffle shroom burger with Swiss because I love my shrooms! I think the garlic aioli side I had my have also come with it(?), but I used that for fries! The burger was super juicy (not sure these other reviews saying it was dry), and the truffle spread was just enough to not be overbearing. The fries (perfect doneness) were served with a side of homemade ketchup - sealed the deal! I didn't know I was missing homemade ketchup in my life before this! Give the place a try, even if you have to carry out. The burger won't disappoint!!

Great burger and fries. Hot and quick! Very small eating area, but what it lacks in ambiance, it gains in flavor. We'll be back!

Presentation - 10/10 Taste & Flavor - 10/10 When getting food here you can get a good variety of spicy and savory especially when it comes to their burgers their drinks are made with much care. Nothing is too overpowering Portion Size - 10/10 I have a very small stomach so things tend to fill me up regardless however my husband is an endless pit and the burger seemed to fill him up for the time being. Value for your money? My burger has layers of cheese and meat and sauce. Mouth full of goodness. Also my "back forty" burger is only $13. Pretty good deal in 2024. Sides are extra though Sides are not so much, just taste like they are from the freezer and straight into the fryer. Burger is the main character anyway. Drinks are weak, you can probably down a couple mix drinks and still blow below limit. With that being said, this is still a better place to eat and watch a game than BWW.

Nestled in downtown Kalamazoo, Brick and Brine specializes in cocktails and steaks, but they also offer a variety of menu options to fit all tastes. We celebrated my father's 70th birthday here, and it didn't disappoint. They offer a variety of spaces to fit small and large groups. We hosted 10 people in their main dining room, and it was the perfect ambiance. Their dinner rolls are complimentary, super fluffy and come with a side of black salted butter. We also started with the house salad, and I split two specials - a potatoes au gratin dish along with a dish called Jafar's Chicken. Both were incredible. I highly recommend venturing here for any occasion! Thank you, Kenzie and team for an amazing time!

Unfortunately, when we visited this most recent time, the market was not working so I ordered a flight with my dinner. It did eventually start up as we were getting ready to leave, and everything was super high so we didn't participate in the fun. I ordered the Honey Chicken sandwich with the cheese curds and it was honestly delicious. The chicken was good and a perfect blend of savory and sweet, the sandwich came with lettuce, freezer pickle and ranch. The cheese curds were surprisingly some of the best I've had and were perfect with a bit of ranch. I'd have the meal again and hopefully next time, the exchange is up and running! :)
