We told them a few times where things were supposed to go, however my husband ended up having to go behind them and move everything again because they put everything in the wrong rooms. They were likely way too high to remember where things go. My entire house and my expensive furniture smelled like weed. When I told them I didn't appreciate them doing my move high as hell. They then proceeded to become very rude and aggressive. I called the office to report their behavior and I was sobbing crying . I was told no managers are there on weekends and a manager would call Monday. That never happened. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER. Run away!!!! Do not use them!

We used this company to move my mother and father to assisted living. The move went ok. Hoarder-ish if you will but neat and orderly and he still knows where everything is. Day of the move everything was moved from their houses to the facility safely. The guys were pleasant and engaging while the move was happening. They all talked and one of the dudes even told my dad and sister about their love of camping. My dad used to make these little picnic table condiment holders in the 70s and early 80s for extra money gave one to each of the movers plus $100 tip each when the job was completed. The big problem here is one of these two movers decided that my father didn't need his Jackery charger anymore and took it. We called the company and they offered this "We take any claim or allegation very seriously.   Therefore, we provided your comments to each of the movers on the job.     They both independently stated the same thing:    "It was a hoarding situation; charger is probably there; just cannot be found.     Other people were in the house as well.      Customer was with us the entire time.   We went in and out the front door the entire time, under customer supervision."       We also checked the truck that was used that day, and nothing was found.   We would ask that you check the home again as this is a hugely serious allegation.    If you chose to move forward by contacting the police, we will of course provide whatever information they request from us.       Sincerely,   --Anne Dietrich Parma Movers, Inc." Spoke to Anne in the phone. Pretty much as unpleasant as her email.   The charger was on his cart he uses every day to help him get around the house. It went on the cart the day he got it and has not left the cart since. He used it to charge his phone and other devices that assure his safety. He's a Vietnam vet with serious health issue due to Agent Orange exposure. He lived alone for many years and he knows where EVERYTHING is. He chose not to involve the Garfield Hts police. "It's only a $300 charger." $300 is a lot of money for a senior citizen on a budget. I'm pissed and will be glad to let the NE Ohio area know don't hire this company. They steal from elderly disabled vets. Pierre even offered to help "dispose of whatever is left" once the move was over. He gave my sister his number for some off the clock action. Look they even posed for a picture while they cased the joint. These two guys are the only non-family members that have been in dad's house for 20 years. Shame on which ever of you stole this from him. Figuring both of you are aware of what happened since you roll around in an open cab together. To help make things a little easier on us, Northcoast moved us on three separate days. The first…read moreday relocated my son to his new apartment. A few weeks later, we moved the belongings from our basement into the new home. Finally, a few weeks after that, the remainder of our belongings were moved. The Good All of the movers were extremely careful and courteous. We were very pleased with the personnel on all of the moves. Additionally, I requested that no "rookies" be assigned to our moves and I was happy that all experienced personnel were assigned. This is the overwhelming strength of Northcoast and should be the primary reason for using them. I would have no problem recommending them or using them again. The Iffy There were two issues that are worth mentioning. First, they tried to hook up the gas line to the dryer without the appropriate connections. Finally, realizing something was amiss, they informed me that they were unable to do it. Good thing. Second, we were unable to unpack all of the wardrobe cartons on the day of the final move. No problem they assured us. We will charge you for them now, you can keep them for however long you need them, and then call us to pick them up and we will reimburse you for the ones you turn in. What they fail to tell you is that they will only reimburse you for half of what they charge you originally. Allegedly because "some customers insist on having new wardrobes and we can't use them on every job." What a crock! Although there were several new wardrobes on our job, most of them had been used prior...one even had UHaul printed on the side rather than the company logo.

The salesman came to the house to give us a quote. We were concerned about our glass top dining…read moreroom table. It was agreed that it would be disassembled for the move. We also told him we would take the $10,000 of insurance for $100...a no brainer as I said to him. The movers called him the day of the move, and he stuck cardboard between the glass. They moved it without disassembling it and damaged it. I filed a claim only to be told I did not have insurance. Turned out I did not realize it was not included in my quote...yes, my fault but the salesman apparently did not own up to his error. They should have disassembled the table as agreed. Had they taken time to look at it, they would have found that it was easy to do so. The table was worth well over $2,000. The offered me $120 and agreed to come up to $200. Not good business and I do not recommend them!

I then called the next day to change my moving day and they couldn't have been nicer with how they went out of their way to help and accommodate me. They arrived at my location more than 30 minutes before our scheduled time and were quick and efficient moving my things. All the movers were nice and were pretty funny. The price was a little higher than I anticipated, but I haven't really done exhaustive comparisons to other companies in the area. 5 star customer service which is all that matters.

Prior to the move, they called a couple of times to confirm locations, prices and optional add-on's. I'm a medical professional with four previous household moves to compare. I've never had a bad experience moving until this one. This should have been an easy move, less then five miles, and I hired them to pack and wrap everything. The representative supervisor underestimated the time and materials by a shocking amount. When they ran out of packing materials, instead of calling for more, they placed breakables in laundry baskets with no wrapping. They barricaded my storage area at the front with boxes instead of placing on the shelves provided. I couldn't get to things to see if they were broken. They placed my sons drum set on a truck with no packing and of course it was damaged. I am still finding broken things. They left my old house doors wide open and a cigarette butt on the carpet. At the new house, they folded my children's and babysitters shoes in half to use as door stops. The supervisor put drinks without asking in my fridge and told the babysitter not to let the children have them? It was a awkward day as we listened to the supervisors rant about the move, one of which had prepared the estimate. We were confused and felt bullied when the final bill, much higher than the estimate was presented. Subsequent questions on the broken items have fallen on deaf ears, and they complained that I did not tip. Save yourselves. I did read the response and I have to say I'm stunned with the nonsensical reasons they gave given that they had as much time as they needed to prepare a workable estimate . I believe they took advantage of whatever situation they perceived me to be in. Also anyone that knows me also knows that my children are preteen/ teens and a neighbor and a college student were both present during the hours I was on call at the hospital. Even my realtor called could get no satisfactory response from this company.
