Incredible khachapuri and beef dumplings! Do not skip this restaurant! The service was great and the staff will assist with any questions and provide recommendations. This was some of the best chicken skewers I've ever had, they were so tender and juicy.

The food is decent, but it's a tad expensive, and you'll probably end up waiting past your reservation time so make sure you're not in a rush. Phkali quartet - probably my favorite item. The three vegetable dips were pretty similar in flavor, with strong notes of raw garlic and spices, but each vegetable contributed to some subtle flavor variation. The cottage cheese was the most different. The bread alongside was fluffy and well seasoned. Lobio - rich and hearty, though relatively muted in flavor. The pickled veggies served alongside were crucial to adding some flavor to the dish. Cheese khinkali - the cheese was pretty salty, which contributed to most of the flavor. I would've liked to have had some kind of sauce on the side for a bit of variety. My partner had the chicken shkmeruli with blackberry sauce, which she also enjoyed. I had a 8:15 pm reservation, but we weren't seated till about 8:50. The couple ahead of us with an 8 pm reservation actually gave up after waiting almost as long. It turns out the restaurant tends to over book their reservations, and since they don't impose a time limit on tables, they tend to run late. The bill came to about $130 after tax and tip. It's a bit expensive (and we did order a bit too much), but relatively standard for the neighborhood.

Who knows there was a Georgian enclave in NYC? West Village area. I mean Georgia as in Eastern Europe north of Turkey! We ventured into Laliko to try something new. Ambiance was comfortable and friendly. Wait staff was helpful and showed us how to eat their famous dishes! We tried Famous Georgia appetizers including Khachapuri, a cheese-filled bread like pizza, topped with egg that you then mix up with the cheese; Also Khinkali, soup dumplings filled with meat; we tried the beef and pork, and the lamb fillings. Both were delicious and nicely spiced! Nice selection of wines and cocktails.

We really enjoyed this restaurant. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere felt warm and cozy. We ordered the Mother Khinkali, and honestly, they were the best khinkali I've had in ages - juicy, flavorful, and perfectly made. The Adjaruli khachapuri was more on the average side for me - I wish it had a bit more cheese and richer flavor, but the dough itself was absolutely delicious. Also, the Georgian rosé was a lovely surprise - very enjoyable and paired well with the food. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely come back, especially for the khinkali.

Georgian cuisine. Most people know about the cheese/egg boats, which Laliko has. But I wanted something different. I had a veal stew and an order of their lamb khinkali, a Georgian take for soup dumplings. I wanted the Mother dumpling, but their chef that makes it wasn't available the night I went apparently. A damn shame. The khinkali I ordered instead was more doughy compared to the Chinese soup dumplings I'm used to. Good luck eating it without having meat juices dribbling down your mouth though. Especially since a spoon isn't provided. Absolutely don't order it if you're trying to make a good first impression with a date. The interior was way too loud. I don't know how the waiters even hear people. The chess motifs on some of their tables were cool.

This was my first time having Georgian food so wasn't sure what to expect. Some dishes I enjoyed more than others, but overall, I enjoyed my experience and would recommend this restaurant. Ambiance / Service: restaurant is bright and feels homey. Not terribly large, but it is open so I think it could be good for slightly larger groups. Great for a more casual date night, taking out of town guests, etc. Service was great. Food: the portions are actually quite large and I ordered too much food for 2 people. I did family style and got: -Georgian Salad: fresh and light. Nice balance since a lot of the other dishes are a bit heavier. -Megruli: sooooooo cheesy. Enjoyed but I wish I got Adjaruli instead. -Chicken with Garlic Ajika Sauce: I think this was the most disappointing dish. It had a lot of potential and the garlic sauce was quite delicious, but unfortunately the chicken was quite dry and a bit bland (needed salt). The sauce wasn't enough to compensate for this. -Mother Khinkali: beef & pork flavor. I mean, I feel like this is a must if you dine here. It's definitely a showstopper - they come and cut off the top with something like looks like a mini sword. The portion is absolutely humongous, you're definitely getting $35 worth of dumplings. Doughy, juicy and flavorful.

Simply outstanding Georgian (Russia) cuisine. The spreads (eggplant, beets, minted cottage cheese and seasoned spinach/garlic), adjaruli (basically a delicious white pizza with fresh egg whipped within the cheese at the table), mother khinkali (georgian soup dumplings) and the pan fried chicken with blackberry sauce was nearly as exceptional as the staff. They were packed & overbooked but never lacked a smile or stellar attitude. Delicious meal & excellent evening. I highly recommend a visit to all!!! This restaurant has only been open 6 months but will surely be part of the NYC culinary fabric for decades to come! * they desperately need to install acoustic tiles though! It's pretty deafening on a busy night.

Absolutely amazing food. The best beef dumplings I've ever had. The wrapper was so soft and the filling was juicy and amazing. The service was a bit slow but I didn't have anything going on after so I didn't mind. The bathroom incense smell was too strong which I didn't like. Would highly recommend this Georgian restaurant. Especially if you've never had the cuisine.

I did come here because I heard of their Mother Khinkali. TLDR: it did not disappoint! While I don't believe I've ever had Georgian cuisine, khinkali dumplings I've definitely had before. What I can say is that, Laliko's (Georgian soup dumplings) are by far superior! We ordered the mother khinkali with beef and pork and the dough is perfectly soft and chewy with a good thickness as not to break upon handling. The soup inside is perfectly seasoned and super flavorful without being too much! As a table of 4, we also ordered a boat khachapuri as appetizer alongside 3 entrees and 1 soup to share and it was the perfect amount. Decor was super cute and service was impeccable. Will definitely be back to try some of their other dishes (or even try their khinkalli soup for a lunch!).

Tucked away on the West Side, Laliko isn't just a Georgian restaurant--it's a full-sensory experience where culinary tradition meets theatrical presentation, all set against a backdrop of gorgeous design and hospitality so warm it practically pulls out your chair for you. The space itself is stunning. Thoughtfully designed tables, beautiful textures, and a sense of elegance that feels more curated than decorated. It's the kind of place where you immediately want to linger--preferably with a glass of wine and something bubbling in cheese. We ordered the Adjaruli and the legendary Mother Khinkali, which, to be perfectly honest, could have had their own agents. The Adjaruli, a traditional cheese boat topped with a golden egg yolk, arrived looking like it was born to be on a cover shoot. The moment the yolk was stirred into the melted cheese, it became an edible lava flow of pure comfort--rich, creamy, and unapologetically indulgent. Then came the Mother Khinkali--a dish that managed to be both a meal and a spectacle. Imagine a giant dumpling, filled with smaller dumplings. Yes, dumpling inception. And yes, it's as outrageous and wonderful as it sounds. It's not a dainty dish (none of this was), but the servers guided us through it with grace and humor, offering tips, demonstrating the best way to eat it, and even preparing it for us right at the table. It was dinner and a history lesson, told with pride and care. The service was exceptional--knowledgeable, warm, and deeply invested in making sure we not only ate well, but understood the stories behind each dish. It's rare to feel this cared for in a restaurant without the slightest bit of pretense. In short: Laliko is a celebration of Georgian culture, cuisine, and hospitality, wrapped in cheese, dumplings, and undeniable charm. It's the kind of place you leave already plotting your return--messy fingers, full heart, and all.

I absolutely love Laliko. The food is consistently excellent and always comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, which honestly says a lot these days. Every dish feels thoughtful and well executed, never rushed. What truly sets this place apart is the staff. The entire team is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special shoutout to Mari, my favorite server. She is phenomenal. Professional, kind, and always perfectly attentive without ever being intrusive. She makes every visit feel personal and memorable. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to, not just for the food, but for how you're treated. And my favorite way to treat myself here is their deconstructed Napoleon cake. It is absolutely to die for. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely charming and genuinely authentic. When my family lived in Europe, my parents took my siblings and me to Georgia every summer, so I grew up knowing what true Georgian cuisine should taste like. I also work in the hospitality industry, and I can confidently say that this is as good as it gets. Everything here is prepared fresh and made to order, with the kind of soul and tradition you can taste in every bite. I brought my best friend from NYC to experience it, and we had an unforgettable time. If you're looking for food that is vibrant, heartfelt, and deeply authentic, Laliko is the place. The staff and the General Manager are exceptional. Be sure to ask for Konstantin--though every server is incredibly knowledgeable and will guide you through the menu with ease.

So I have seen Laliko on social media here and there throughout the summer (2025). I really wanted to try the Khinkali dumplings (A Georgian classic. Juicy, hand-folded dumplings, bursting with rich, flavorful broth). The waiter suggested lamb and beef so that's what I got. I followed that with the Adjaruli Khachapuri (A boat-shaped khachapuri with cheese, topped with an egg yolk and butter). I've never had Georgian food before and it was all absolutely delicious. The khinkali are as good or better than Chinese xiaolongbao. The khachapuri was much more familiar. It was like Turkish pide. The egg and cheese and butter filling was decadent and delicious. If you're anywhere near the West Village make it a point to stop here. Friendly service too!

He suggested this place in the West Village, but we couldn't get a table there at the time we wanted to go. Fortunately, I was able to find that they had another location in Midtown and we were able to get a table. I have never had Georgian food before and was excited to try it. From the second, we walked in our experience was excellent. The restaurant was very charming with a very chic feel. Our server was so gracious and helpful in explaining the menu. We tried several traditional dishes, and they were all out outstanding. The food was so flavorful. We had the eggplant rolls and the Adjaruli Khachapuri as an appetizer. Both were amazing! They left me wanting more. For the main course I had the Chanakhi (lamb stew). This dish was so delicious. The lamb was tender and the sauce was savoy, perfectly seasoned and had so much flavor. My daughter had the Shkmeruli (chicken with garlic sauce). This creamy garlic sauce was amazing. I need to figure out how to make it. My son had the Kupati (house made sausages). I can honestly saw these were some of the best sausages I've ever had. The flavor was so unique and delicious. My son's girlfriend, who is a vegan, had the cauliflower with walnut sauce. The cauliflower was roasted perfectly and the walnut sauce is like nothing I've ever had before. It was so creamy that it made me question whether or not it had dairy in it. Another hit. To finish it off, we had the Khinkali which are these huge soup dumplings with beef and pork filling. Our server told this traditionally they eat them at the end of a meal so we follow tradition. Fortunately, our server explained to us how to eat them by holding them upside down and taking a small bite and drinking the soup out. These were massive and more than I should've eaten after appetizers and a main course. Nevertheless, we enjoyed them thoroughly. I really enjoyed this restaurant and the experience. I felt like I experienced something new that I can't wait to come back to.

Unfortunately, we were a group of three, so we were seated a little awkwardly by the live music corner away from the rest of the dining room, though it didn't cause too many interruptions in our conversation. We were all intrigued by the Georgian lemonade option on the drink menu. They were more like flavored sodas. I had the cream, which tasted exactly like vanilla cream soda. I tried my friends' pear and tarragon, and would get the tarragon next time as it was nice and herbal to complement the cheesy heavy dishes to follow. We started with the beet salad with goat cheese, which came with a raspberry sauce. I sometimes find it off putting if the beet is too earthy and bitter, but the beets were done well, flavorful without being too strong. The salad was really refreshing and much needed to pair with our khachapuri, which we ordered with spinach and special smoked cheese. The presentation was fun, a little funny because the wait staff kept accidentally spinning the whole plate in their effort to mix everything in. I love cheese and bread, so this was a true highlight. For main, we had the megrhuli karcho, which was stewed beef in a walnut sauce served with Georgian grits cake. The beef was tender but honestly all of the starters stole the show and the walnut sauce wasn't that flavorful. I did like the gritty texture of the walnut sauce against slightly packed gritty texture of the grits cake, but my friend found it mushy and boring. If I go back, I would load up on the khachapuri and the salad.

When I got to the Williamsburg location and observed the door locked, lights off, and the interior like nobody was there (with no indication there would be no one coming), I was crestfallen. This restaurant defined popular Georgian food. It is one of the reasons I make a trek out to a neighborhood that I would not otherwise dare set foot in for more than an extended period of time. When I observed they also have a Manhattan location, I figured, okay, try them out, what the hell, maybe it will be fine. Three subway lines later (okay, I could have done it in two), and here is the result. Firstly, the service is amazing. The entire wait staff is warm, welcoming, intelligent, and passionate about what is served out of their kitchen. Liza may not be working here (or at least was not there during the time I was here), but the service is still first rate. Secondly, the interior space is more intimate than the Williamsburg location. It feels more Manhattan-y than Williamsburg-y, if that makes sense. Now that I got the non-food stuff out of the way, here comes the part you came for, the meal. I ordered five things here. You will see why later, it will make sense to you by the end. Khachapuri: My new favorite snack is a must at any Georgian restaurant. To say this is a calzone or a stromboli is being condescending to this lovely cheeseboat (had to do it). It is a little on the small side, but the cheese and texture is beautiful and I never once had to pick up a fork to eat it. Your server will even mix everything for you if you ask. Grade: A- Khinkali: Six to an order, just like at the Williamsburg location, they are tasty, but it is looser. They fall apart too quickly upon that first nibble. I know not to eat the knot, because when my server took my plate away after I was done eating them, he smiled wryly at me, knowing I did it right. Grade: B Chakapuli: Probably the weakest thing I ordered, the lamb is tasty, but also super fatty and super tender. I deliberately did not eat the sauce and some of the other bits because of the richness and the onions that were at the bottom of the dish. The fact it comes with two nice pieces of bread helps mitigate things, but I played it smart by just taking the big stuff and using the bread as a binder. Grade: B- Kharcho: A staple at any Georgian restaurant, this is essentially Lagman soup, but they use rice instead of noodles as their carb weapon of choice. The lamb is beautiful and the broth has a beautiful aroma and fragrance. It also comes with two nice pieces of bread to really soak in more flavor. This balanced out the out of balance Chakapuli. Grade: B+ Georgian White Wine Flight: Yes, I got a flight, four glasses of the restaurant's finest white wines. I had a glass for each of the meals that I ate. Each wine has its own character. My server even gave me a suggestion on how to go about drinking them. I know very little about wine, so I will not go much further than this. However, each wine I tasted, tasted better than the previous one. I do know Georgia is known for its wine, and by the end of the flight, I was starting to see why... maybe. Grade: A- That is not all. I also ordered a Honey Cake for dessert, because I know all too well that honey is the great equalizer in all things savory. This will put it all in its place, like Godzilla restoring the balance in an inhumane world. Honey Cake: One bite told me all I needed to know. It is outstanding. Well balanced, terrific flavor, outstanding texture, ridiculously, out of bounds in terms of how it should look and feel. This dessert may have ruined all things dessert for me for the time being. It is simply the best way to end a meal, and to go out on a high note. Grade: A+ -- Some of you may be saying, why would you do this? Why would you go all the way out here for this? 1.) Because I can, 2.) The experience is largely outstanding, and 3.) It is not always about those two, it is the adventure, and eating what I ate here gave me a sense of adventure, from start to finish. Stay classy Cheeseboat, I know you will be just fine until the Williamsburg location reopens, if it ever does. If not, your Manhattan location will do you justice.

We made a reservation for 8p and arrived a couple of minutes early but the restaurant was relatively empty so it was quick to get a table. We ordered the eggplant appetizer, the Georgian salad, the mushroom dumplings, and the cheese and spinach baked good. The eggplant and salad both came outburst and both were good in terms of size and flavor. The salad had a good dressing which complimented it and did not overpower it. The eggplant was really good but would've been better with bread, so we requested bread and it was an additional charge and some pieces were very chewy and a bit hard to chew. The baked good came out afterwards and it was a combo between a pizza and phyllo dough. The portion size was really good and the flavor was decent albeit a bit bland. The mushroom dumplings were also good size and came with 4 pieces with sour cream on the side. The portion size was good and the flavor of the dough was good, the inside was also decent but lacked some flavor. Overall good flavor and portion size of food. A bit bland but overall good
