Pros: Ambiance is nice. Very relaxing and perfect for our annual dim sum brunch. Service was great. Always love that cart that comes around to offer us the delicious goodies. And the food was good, too. Delicious dumplings and buns and other offerings that really are so good. Cons: No cons. The carts weren't as flamboyant as the ones at Peter's, but that's just nitpicking. Tips: Don't get there early. Arrive about a half hour after opening, so they can get the process rolling and have all their offerings ready for you.

Such great memories growing up in NJ close to New York City were brought back upon entering Lam's Garden! The nice decor, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Comfy seating in the large dining room. The staff were very friendly and helpful in choosing and accommodating menu choices. Food was fresh and flavorful. The portions were enough to share with others if you're kind enough to. Chinese cuisine is one of my top favorites and Lam's for sure is a new favorite of mine!

Great service and classic dim sum spot. Classic Chinese banquet vibes and traditional atmosphere.

I can't think of a better Chinese sit-down restaurant than this one in Orlando. They have been here for decades and if you are a regular, they know you and treat you like family. The service is always great every time I have eaten here. They are always filling my cup and checking in on our table. They have an authentic Cantonese menu like Szechuan and Hunan specialties. They also offer dinner for two options, hot pot, dim sum and so much more. My go-to is the chicken and broccoli combo plate. I don't like the brown sauce, so I always ask for the white/garlic sauce instead and they always accommodate my request. The wonton soup... okay I know we are all familiar with this one ... but their version/style of this soup is DELICIOUS. So hearty and the wonton noodles are fresh and tasty if you love pork, of course ... which I do. They have a little bit of everything here from poultry, pork, beef, seafood and yes.... VEGETABLE DISHES. Bring the whole family. They have areas to accommodate big parties too!

I came here alone for brunch one saturday. And the staff were friendly and it was not too crowded. Good food but not piping hot as the small crowd didn't allow enough movement of kitchen food items. I always love the green beans here and paid around $20 for the plate of green beans and shrimp and chive dumplings. The food was tasty and I'd come back when in the area.

Every time my family and I go to Lam's Garden, we are always greeted and seated right away. It is a family-style authentic Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating even on peak hours. We go here mainly for the dim sum but they also have a regular menu where you can order from the kitchen. My favorites are the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, and salt & pepper calamari. Pro tip: there is plenty of parking at iFresh market next door or the back of the building if there are no spots directly at the front of the restaurant.

The food was absolutely disgusting! I don't write reviews but the service was terrible and food i literally wanted to throw up the soup I ordered wasn't even melted properly the chicken smelled so bad! Do not recommend!

I love this place! It's far from me but it's the only " hole in the wall" type Chinese food I can find in Orlando, I love how they have cheap lunch specials and I love the authentic feeling inside! Everything is good here! I love the food. The egg drop soup is amazing. The service is very fast and good as well, all the servers help each other out. They have a fish tanks in the front and they have an authentic Asian grocery store next door! I love this place! I don't understand why this place has lower reviews. Doesn't deserve that.

We were vacation in Orlando during Chinese New Year 2025 - Snake year. We thought to search for a good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. We were far from home, Vancouver, BC, as we are spoiled with good Chinese restaurant with many options. We had an amazing dinner at Lam's Garden in Orlando, FL. So good! . I am happy I made reservations in advance. The service was fantastic as the staff kept apologizing for the wait of the food as it was really busy evening. When the dishes arrived, it was hot and quite tasty. The decor is typical of traditional, old style, similar to many Chinese restaurants on Kingsway in Vancouver. They old us it was nice to speak with us my hubby can speak Cantonese fluently (not me). Near the end, one of the staff (could be the owner) gave us a complimentary alcohol drink which is super nice of him. It was nice to see the receipt was hand written! Lam's Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Central Florida and we were very lucky to dine at Lam's Garden on one of busiest day in the year.

Is dim sum cart service still available? I wasn't sure if it changed due to the pandemic.

Yes, I went on the weekend and they had carts. Not sure about weekdays.

Is there vegan dim sum options?

i wouldnt count on it. A lot of items using pork fat (even in things you that may be vegetarian) and shrimp. I mean you can eat rice paste as plain. Or there's just veggies they serve but these aren't like the other popular dim sum dishes.

Is cart service offered on weekdays?

    Yes Thank you

Do they have the dim sum carts all day on Saturday and Sunday, or just during lunch?

Only lunch time from 10:30-3:00 Thank you

The noodles are called paste and they are filled with which ever you pick. The turnip cakes are so delicious. I had no idea they would be that good. Shrimp dumplings are my favorite. Chicken feet are fun, but they are very fatty. So these were not my favorite. The custard buns are very good and the egg tarts which are not pictured, but sometimes available. The hot tea is so soothing. Make sure to get a hot pot of tea!

These legends welcomed our whole crew with zero wait like it was just another Tuesday--talk about VIP service. Now let's talk food. First up, the tofu and veggie stir-fry--a glorious mix of crispy tofu cubes with perfectly sautéed broccoli, carrots, and bok choy in a savory brown sauce that hugged every bite like a warm hug from a Chinese grandma. The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). The Honey Walnut Shrimp was love at first crunch. Perfectly crispy shrimp in a creamy, sweet glaze topped with candied walnuts and nestled on a bed of fresh steamed broccoli. This dish was the Beyoncé of the table--everyone wanted a piece. Those crispy, golden Shrimp Ball Fritters? Imagine a crunchy sea urchin made of joy. Light, airy, and addictive--basically the potato chip of appetizers. The pan-fried dumplings were thick, juicy, and had the perfect crispy sear. No sad, soggy dumplings here. Then came the crispy duck--dark, rich, and bursting with deep roasted flavor. It had that satisfying crunch you want, and the meat melted in your mouth. A must for meat lovers. But the real MVP? Those soup dumplings. Steamy little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth like a culinary fireworks show. Served in their own mini tins like royalty--juicy, delicate, and impossible to eat just one. The table went silent the second they landed. That's how you know it's real. With quick service, huge portions, and a menu that hits every craving from noodles to dumplings to sizzling plates of joy, Peter's Kitchen China Bistro was the unexpected gem we didn't know we needed. Cozy, authentic, and efficient--this place made our group dinner easy, delicious, and downright memorable.
