Pros: Ambiance is nice. Very relaxing and perfect for our annual dim sum brunch. Service was great. Always love that cart that comes around to offer us the delicious goodies. And the food was good, too. Delicious dumplings and buns and other offerings that really are so good. Cons: No cons. The carts weren't as flamboyant as the ones at Peter's, but that's just nitpicking. Tips: Don't get there early. Arrive about a half hour after opening, so they can get the process rolling and have all their offerings ready for you.

Such great memories growing up in NJ close to New York City were brought back upon entering Lam's Garden! The nice decor, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Comfy seating in the large dining room. The staff were very friendly and helpful in choosing and accommodating menu choices. Food was fresh and flavorful. The portions were enough to share with others if you're kind enough to. Chinese cuisine is one of my top favorites and Lam's for sure is a new favorite of mine!

Great service and classic dim sum spot. Classic Chinese banquet vibes and traditional atmosphere.

I can't think of a better Chinese sit-down restaurant than this one in Orlando. They have been here for decades and if you are a regular, they know you and treat you like family. The service is always great every time I have eaten here. They are always filling my cup and checking in on our table. They have an authentic Cantonese menu like Szechuan and Hunan specialties. They also offer dinner for two options, hot pot, dim sum and so much more. My go-to is the chicken and broccoli combo plate. I don't like the brown sauce, so I always ask for the white/garlic sauce instead and they always accommodate my request. The wonton soup... okay I know we are all familiar with this one ... but their version/style of this soup is DELICIOUS. So hearty and the wonton noodles are fresh and tasty if you love pork, of course ... which I do. They have a little bit of everything here from poultry, pork, beef, seafood and yes.... VEGETABLE DISHES. Bring the whole family. They have areas to accommodate big parties too!

I came here alone for brunch one saturday. And the staff were friendly and it was not too crowded. Good food but not piping hot as the small crowd didn't allow enough movement of kitchen food items. I always love the green beans here and paid around $20 for the plate of green beans and shrimp and chive dumplings. The food was tasty and I'd come back when in the area.

Every time my family and I go to Lam's Garden, we are always greeted and seated right away. It is a family-style authentic Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating even on peak hours. We go here mainly for the dim sum but they also have a regular menu where you can order from the kitchen. My favorites are the fish maw soup, honey walnut shrimp, and salt & pepper calamari. Pro tip: there is plenty of parking at iFresh market next door or the back of the building if there are no spots directly at the front of the restaurant.

The food was absolutely disgusting! I don't write reviews but the service was terrible and food i literally wanted to throw up the soup I ordered wasn't even melted properly the chicken smelled so bad! Do not recommend!

I love this place! It's far from me but it's the only " hole in the wall" type Chinese food I can find in Orlando, I love how they have cheap lunch specials and I love the authentic feeling inside! Everything is good here! I love the food. The egg drop soup is amazing. The service is very fast and good as well, all the servers help each other out. They have a fish tanks in the front and they have an authentic Asian grocery store next door! I love this place! I don't understand why this place has lower reviews. Doesn't deserve that.

We were vacation in Orlando during Chinese New Year 2025 - Snake year. We thought to search for a good Chinese restaurant in Orlando. We were far from home, Vancouver, BC, as we are spoiled with good Chinese restaurant with many options. We had an amazing dinner at Lam's Garden in Orlando, FL. So good! . I am happy I made reservations in advance. The service was fantastic as the staff kept apologizing for the wait of the food as it was really busy evening. When the dishes arrived, it was hot and quite tasty. The decor is typical of traditional, old style, similar to many Chinese restaurants on Kingsway in Vancouver. They old us it was nice to speak with us my hubby can speak Cantonese fluently (not me). Near the end, one of the staff (could be the owner) gave us a complimentary alcohol drink which is super nice of him. It was nice to see the receipt was hand written! Lam's Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Central Florida and we were very lucky to dine at Lam's Garden on one of busiest day in the year.

Is dim sum cart service still available? I wasn't sure if it changed due to the pandemic.

Yes, I went on the weekend and they had carts. Not sure about weekdays.

Is there vegan dim sum options?

i wouldnt count on it. A lot of items using pork fat (even in things you that may be vegetarian) and shrimp. I mean you can eat rice paste as plain. Or there's just veggies they serve but these aren't like the other popular dim sum dishes.

Is cart service offered on weekdays?

    Yes Thank you

Do they have the dim sum carts all day on Saturday and Sunday, or just during lunch?

Only lunch time from 10:30-3:00 Thank you

The place is elegantly decorated with an Asian theme. However, some of the benches attached to the booths had worn out upholstery. Our server, Yumi (spelling?) was polite and efficient. We had the salt and pepper squid appetizer. It was plentiful and great with the accompanying sauce. However, we didn't like the breading. And I dared to bite into one of the peppers that accompanied it and it set my mouth on fire. For dinner we had the Szechuan scallops and the XO fish. The scallops were tasty and the dish had lots of broccoli, peppers, and mushrooms. The sauce was a bit sweeter than we expected. The XO fish sauce was very similar to the Szechuan sauce and though the fish was a tad salty, it was still savory. The asparagus that accompanied that dish was chopped (easier to eat) and there were plenty of sweet snap peas and bell peppers. We adore snow pea tips and were in the mood for lots of veggies. So, we got an order to accompany our meals. We did take home most of it, along with lots of broccoli (for me) from the Szechuan scallops. We were treated to a complimentary Chinese-style dessert made with peeled split mung beans and thickened with tapioca starch into a gooey, translucent pudding that was served warm. Our meal of 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 order of veggies, a pot of tea, tax, and tip was $138.

Ordered Jumbo Shrimp Pan Fried Noodle here $16.95 takeout. While waiting for the food. So as the conversation passes she told me - The Crispy pork they cook there is NOT ROASTED but FRIED. So she mentioned she wondered why they have been busy with Chinese BBQ meats as of lately. All I can say, this place simply blew my mind!! I never expected this resto to be this GOOD! Came in around 7:15 pm and there's were a few people waiting and I signed up on their Yelp waitlist kiosk. But I got seated about 5-10 mins upon arrival. So when looked at the menu, they had 3 dishes that were Michelin guide recommendations. The first one is their wonton soup, the pan fried Peking duck buns and the steamed buns with bokchoy and mushrooms. So I was curious and had to order the wonton soup and since I love Peking duck, I ordered the buns. Here's my assessment: 1. Pork and shrimp wonton soup - 15/10 - the soup was pretty neutrally flavored but still good to my liking but oh boy, the wonton was out of this world!! It came with 6 large wontons, some bokchoy, seaweed and the broth. I always ask for chili oil and when I took a bite of the wonton, the sudden burst of deliciousness that I felt in my mouth was indescribable. Then I dipped the wonton in the chili oil and it added another layer of umami flavor. This is prolly my Top 2 wonton soup I've had in my life next to the one I've tried in Hongkong years ago!! Every wonton I ate the more I just want to eat more wontons . It's INCREDIBLE. 2. Pan fried Peking duck buns - 20/10 - this should be a Michelin star dish!! The bun was a little sweet, soft but that first bite felt like all my salivary juices just exploded. This is the BEST BAO BUN I've had in America. The most perfect combination of sweet, savory, salty, with a touch of five spice and a gastronomically out of bounds dish - It's UNBELIEVABLE!! Every customer should not leave this resto until they've tried this one!! Trust me, you may want to eat at least 4 pcs of this. I would have wanted to get 2 more but I was already full. 3. Steamed bokchoy with garlic - 10/10 - love the freshness of the bokchoy, well poached and the garlic was just enough that it was not overpowering yet it was garlicky. I wish we can have Kung Fu Kitchen in CA but I guess FL is more business friendly. They also have their sister flagship resto in NY!! So if ever you come to Disney World or Orlando for a work or business trip, pls do yourself a favor and make sure you put this resto as part of your itinerary!!!

The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). The Honey Walnut Shrimp was love at first crunch. Perfectly crispy shrimp in a creamy, sweet glaze topped with candied walnuts and nestled on a bed of fresh steamed broccoli. Light, airy, and addictive--basically the potato chip of appetizers. The pan-fried dumplings were thick, juicy, and had the perfect crispy sear. No sad, soggy dumplings here. Then came the crispy duck--dark, rich, and bursting with deep roasted flavor. It had that satisfying crunch you want, and the meat melted in your mouth. A must for meat lovers. But the real MVP? Those soup dumplings. Steamy little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth like a culinary fireworks show. I had heard great things about it and hadn't gotten the chance to go until recently. This is mostly because they're located in Windermere, which is a bit aways from most of Orlando. It was chosen as the dinner location for a work dinner for Asian American Heritage Month. May might be over, but Asian food is forever. It's in a very cute location with shops around and ample of parking. They had tables set aside for us and they have a full menu as well as the dim sum menu, which you mark how many of an item you want. Family style dining as is most Asian dining. The interior is super nice and it does feel upscale. They have large tables and some smaller ones but it's not a huge restaurant space. This means the meals feel very cozy and intimate. We got the squid ink shrimp dumplings and regular shrimp dumplings. They were both a 9/10. I will say that squid ink anything does not add to the flavor, just the color of the food. Squid ink is slightly more expensive. The shumai was a 9/10. By the way the dumplings were huge and about 4 pieces per order. We tried the curry fish balls, which essentially is fish balls like the ones you get at hot pot cooked in a yellow curry. It was my first time trying this and I thought it was just ok. This was a 5.5/10. Some ordered beef and broccoli for the table and it was delicious. Definitely a large dish to be shared. That was an 8.5/10. We tried their wonton soup which came with noodles and bok chop. This was an 8/10. The fried shrimp balls were excellent and is a 9/10 for me. Normally, I think they are either too savory or oily. However, these ones had great crips and really well balanced flavor. We tried my favorite dim sum dish, which is the rice rolls with shrimp. This was a 6/10 for me. It just wasn't my favorite one that I have had. We also tried the mango custard bun, which was a 8/10. Overall, I would give them a 8/10. It is a little on the more pensive end for dim sum but the atmosphere is nice and service is pretty good. I love dumplings. I could eat dumplings any day, all day. It truly is one of those things I would have as a part of my last meal on Earth.
