Would not recommend! My wife bought yesterday we ate them same day and they were dry as if they were 3 days old. Even the glaze looked non existent they were very bland and had no distinctive taste from the variety of options we had. Where was the standards and quality control. Manager should have made sure they were good or at least not horrible. LaMar's always has excellent donuts. The price is reasonable and the wait is not long. I prefer raised donuts over cake donuts, and they have plenty of raised donuts. The French crullers are also excellent. The drip coffee is good, though probably not the most memorable. But I am not a very picky coffee drinker. This location is nice because there's a patio right outside for the kids to run around after eating a bunch of sugar. It's right on Santa Fe Dr, but the patio is protected from the traffic. No worries about kids running out to the street. read more

The guy running this location is so nice, make sure and ask about his kids, he lights up talking about them, I loves that. This location was a little interesting for me to find since its tucked away in a little shopping district off of Santa fe drive. but when I did find it, service was quick and friendly. They also have a nice little courtyard that is shared with all the other businesses that has outdoor seating decorated with flowers in the summer time. Worth every penny for both the wonderful cheerful and welcoming personality of the staff and the incredible texture and taste of their donuts. I've been coming here since back in elementary school, I moved away for a couple of years and just moved back to the area. I always get the old fashion donut. No one makes an old cashier better than Lamar's. Negative comments about the price by some people I can tell you that 1) the quality of the donuts is worth the price and 2) most other donut shops have raised their prices too, having a donut cus $3-6 is the new normal. I've always liked the donuts at Lamar's, but the cost has skyrocketed and, quite frankly, are just not worth it. For example, if you want a dozen donut holes that will cost you $13.29. One glazed donut is $4.49. One glazed cinnamon twist is $7.89. They're pricing themselves out of business. Where to start with a donut review? Regardless of where you go the donuts are usually pretty good, selection is mostly the same, and the coffee is either a hit or miss. It really boils down to the little things such as the fillings, toppings, and of course the dough. Lamar's donuts have always been a bit heavier than other places I visit, but still a good donut. I really liked how they used little M&M's in place of sprinkles on some of their selections and the cream filled donuts were decent. The glazed donuts are not as sweet as you would find at a Krispy Kreme, but overall is a more substantive donut in size and texture. I prefer donuts that have dough that is more "airey" and light; however, Lamar's made a name for themselves with their cake donuts which are fairly dense so can see how their other varieties are much of the same. read more

Okay listen! LaMar's lived up to the hype for me! The donuts were exactly how I like to enjoy a donut... A little cakey but not too cakey, soft.. just delicious. The options were endless and we got about 20 donuts to try as many as we could lol. The inside is not real large but can hold multiple smaller groups, but what really did it for me was the service. I hate that I cannot remember the name of the nice man who attended to us but wow! He was a fun guy, knowledgeable on his donuts AND when he heard I was visiting and a friend brought me because this spot is her favorite donut shop and he went and grabbed his personal LaMar's swag and gave it to me! What?! And a sticker as well when I asked. Just so friendly and hospitable. Please give him a raise!! Feel free to reach out to me and I can describe which associate assisted us. Came here to try their donuts because my sister told me they were excellent in Littleton. Well, the donuts are just fine but their prices are astronomical. Bought six donuts and paid over $18. Should've gone over to King Soopers next-door and just picked up some donuts from their fresh bakery department for like $.99 each. Lesson learned. I was in the mood for doughnuts, found this place, then gave it a try. This is what a good doughnut shop should be. Nice open area to sit and enjoy your coffee and doughtnuts if you choose and a stand-up selection. There were quite a few items that I would have liked to try - I actually had difficulty selecting what I wanted to try that morning. I eNded up trying a maple glazed (tasty) and an apple spice (truly the highlight of my trip). The Apple spice was nice and cake-like with great apple taste that that did not overpower. Great selection!! Very fresh!! The dough is very unique... it's sort of a cross between a raised yeast dough and cake. The result is a donut that is pillowy soft!! LaMar's is a Littleton mainstay. I cannot stress enough how important it is to come EARLY EARLY EARLY. If we sleep in, we know we have just missed out on some major donuts. The selection is paltry after 8am. That is why I aim for 7am at the latest. Their case is just glistening in delightful fritters, cakes donuts, eclairs, you name it. Not very impressed with the selection -- a bit too fancy at the expense of the basics. Having St. Patrick's Day sprinkles is fine, but not if it means no other doughnuts have rainbow or chocolate sprinkles. And I'm not personally a fan of strawberry-filled jelly doughnuts -- I'll hold out for a raspberry-filled every time. I looked for a simple glazed old-fashioned, but they only had "sour cream" glazed old-fashioned. A bit too much all around. The place was clean enough, service was ok, I can't comment on the coffee because I didn't have any. I'm all for giving people some slack during COVID but now is not the time to slack in sanitation. I'm sorry but we walked in the door, looked around enough to walk back out again. Display cases haven't been cleaned inside for a while. Guy came out from the back with fresh donuts. No gloves on, bare hands, put the food in the display case. Guy was sloppy looking and disheveled. I always come here on my way to my clients and without fail when I do. Pre-order you guys do NOT pay attention to the notes. The first time I ordered you forgot to give me the cinnamon roll I ordered I just let it go. This time I specifically asked for no large items like fritters and such and to include sugar. This place is filthy. They have one person handling money and food without washing hands. They also love to run their hands through their hair and touch their face. The wax paper protocol is not a substitute for hand washing. Watch how they use dirty hands touching the side of the paper that touches the donuts in the boxes or bags. Personally, I think Lamar's is pretty expensive for donuts. When my husband buys two dozen assorted for the office, he spends nearly $40! That said, the donuts are indeed delicious. I've never had a "bad" donut here. I can't speak much to the staff at this location; but the last couple of times I was in, they were less than friendly. If you visit in the afternoon, they just act like you're a nuisance because they'd rather finish their cleaning and close up on time. We miss the "donut happy-hour" that they used to have, where they slashed the prices in the afternoon to unload the remaining inventory from the morning. Now we pretty much don't come here since they stopped doing that. So... Good donuts if you're willing to spend the money on them, but don't expect the people to be cheery. read more

I love a good donut to start the weekend and so I end up taking my kids here about once a month on Saturday mornings. They have a great variety of donuts and I love their cake donuts. They are pricier than the grocery store or other donut shops but I think they make up for it in quality of the donut.
