Made our dining reservations thru the app. Checked in about 10 minutes before reservation time. Got a text when my table was ready. So easy! Seated promptly and had an excellent view! The beer battered onion blossom was phenomenal! We were thinking it was going to be like the blooming onion from outback but this one took it up a notch! This thing was massive and nice and crunchy. The sauces paired perfectly as well! Definitely enough for the 3 of us to share and we couldn't finish it all. My go to entree is the al pastor pork chop and I substituted French fries instead of getting the cheese polenta (which is also very tasty!). Fries were nice and crispy and the pork chop never lets me down. So juicy and tender! I hope they never take this off the menu!
The lamplight lounge is a sought after, iconic focal point of Pixar Pier. Split into the lower deck reservation only lounge and upper, walk-in/waitlist friendly boardwalk dining, the views of the bay, the Ferris wheel, and Incredicoaster are my favorite in the park. I recommend table seating over the bar, as the bar will have your back to these views. We have been three times now, and after having tried both the barbacoa and the lobster nachos, I'd recommend the former over the latter. The lobster serving was skimpy on our last visit. The drinks are STRONG. The strongest I've ever had in the park, and one will render me unable to ride Incredicoaster for hours afterward. Drink carefully, my friends! Sometimes service is prompt and other times it takes awhile to flag a server or bartender, it just depends.
One if my bestie and my fav place on the DCA side. Huge portions we often order two meals and split both and a drink each. Prices are reasonable especially for the quality and quantity, love the pond view while eating, we've enjoyed at the bar twice (you get constant service there). Photos are from 4 separate trips this is our 7th time in two years.
Ok so this time I have to reduce the rating a bit. So we did lamplight boardwalk a couple times. And the lobster nachos portion was not the same. Also we did the beef nachos and it was better than last time but we had to return it once because the chips were essentially burned. Korean wings 3/5 Came with 6 wings and some cucumber kimchi. Taste was ok. Sauce was good. The coating is a little different. It's not what I expected Korean wings to be like. But not bad. For the price really expensive tho. We also tried Brunch at lamplight downstairs and it was to me better than dinner. Chilaquiles 3.5/5 Taste was good. The server was right that they need to add some more protein to this dish. Breakfast burger 4/5 Burger was great Potato was really good with seasoning. The point taken out for the burger bun. Not sure why Disney buns are so crumbly. Overall I would give it a 3.5/5
Very nice location on the pier in Disney's CA Adventure. Indoor and outdoor seating and we sat outside with a nice view. Very attentive service with some fun menu options that tasted great! Their potato flautas with chorizo were plated so beautifully and the crunch and flavors were perfect. We also tried the chilaquiles and it did not disappoint. For Disneyland the prices were expected but these two items weren't too expensive. Glad we got to try it and get reservations for brunch.
Lamplight Lounge is a wonderful space to have some creative cocktails and enjoy the view from Disney's Pixar Pier. This lounge is located in Disney California Adventure right against the pier. You can see as you go on the San Fransokyo bridge away from Ariel's Grotto. I made reservations for Lamplight Lounge at 6:00 AM. and only the morning was available with one spot left for the evening. Reservations fill up very quickly here so I'd suggest booking as soon as you can. We were seated at the circular bar with our sides towards the fun wheel. They have lots of cocktails on their menu and some secret ones, too. Being an old school Disney goer, I asked for their Mickey's Fun Wheel, which is not on the menu. I don't recall which alcohol it has, but it's aesthetically pleasing and beautiful to look at. We decided to try their fried cauliflower, which was advertised for vegans. We also tried their fish tacos. The food came out quickly and we were quite impressed with their cauliflower; it had pickled cucumbers as a side and their cauliflower was tossed in a soy sauce, spicy marinade. Their fish tacos were quite long and had a mild kick to it, too. It was quite dry. I love to their gimmicks and designs. Disney does a fantastic job at creating a wonderful ambiance. Food was subpar and so were the drinks. The cast members were sweet and kept checking on us. We did take home their coasters since it had character drawings on them. Quite a great stop if you've never been here before. You can also ask the front desk if you can come in to get a cocktail to go. I'd recommend this place for a great pier experience.
Went in for brunch! Got the steak and eggs Probably one of the best steak and eggs I've had in a while. A lot of breakfast joints won't use a thick or a heavy cut as this but it was so worth! Asked for medium rare and it was perfectly cooked! The whole dish was excellent! Would order again! I got the cinnamon toast cocktail and open ocean with a splash! The cereal cocktail I wished there was more cereal and less ice but over the drink was very yummy The blended cocktail was sooo good like a rocket pop slushie! I loved that we had a nice view and the staff was very friendly
The food here is amazing. That is the simplest way I can describe it. My girlfriend and I were seated outside at the bar, which made for a really enjoyable dining experience. While the menu itself is on the smaller side, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Little Gem Salmon Salad and asking about the chef's special. During our visit, the special was roasted chicken served over mashed potatoes, and it completely exceeded expectations. The salmon was incredibly delicious and practically melted in our mouths. I am usually not a huge fan of mashed potatoes, but pairing them with the roasted chicken completely changed my mind it was so good that it made me want to lick the plate clean. We also ordered two drinks: the Hero Work and the Find Your Spark. I personally ordered two Hero Works because I enjoyed it that much, it reminded me of grape Kool-Aid. The Find Your Spark tasted like raspberry soda. You can still taste and feel the alcohol in both drinks, but they go down so smoothly that it almost feels like drinking juice, which can be dangerous in the best way. This is definitely a place I will come back to, and honestly, I would probably order the exact same things every time I am in the area.
Have not been back since 2024. Got to say, the food is pretty good here. Service was exceptional. Big Kudos to Jeremy! Nothing has changed from my last review. Nice ambiance and nice setting at the California Disneyland roller coaster area. Keep in mind, food quantity is small and expensive. But you should already know that since you are at Mouseland. I recommend reservations here. It has good energy, good service and good food! Kudos
My family and I came to Lamplight Lounge for Saturday brunch and had an incredible time! I had the chiliquilles, which was very delicious (9 out of 10) but probably could have used some sour cream to balance the heat. I also had the seasonal donuts which were the best donuts of my life (10 out of 10); they were cinnamon roll flavored with crushed pecans. To drink, I enjoyed the mimosa flight (8 out of 10). The flavors were peach, watermelon, ginger, and grapefruit. The grapefruit mimosa was the worst -- tasted a bit bland and artificial. But the watermelon mimosa and peach mimosa were full of fresh flavor and quite delicious. The ginger mimosa was great too but definitely had a kick to it with the spice. We were seated at a bar top facing the Incredicoaster. For our family, it was perfect since it is my son's favorite ride and he had a blast watching the coast keep launching. But if you are someone who doesn't enjoy loud noises during a meal, the constant screaming from the coaster may be much for you. They do offer seats inside and closer to the main water that would probably be less noisy. Highly recommend! This was my first time for brunch but I've been for dinner as well, and always have had a great dining experience.
Service was amazing and very attentive. Flautas was only okay, would not get again. Mint to Be was a refreshing drink and just the right amount of mint.
We were walking around Pixar Pier near sunset hour and suddenly started craving drinks, so we stopped by Lamplight Lounge to see if we could get lucky without a reservation. Thankfully, one of the cast members near the patio bar helped us get in for quick to-go drinks. The view during sunset was honestly beautiful. Between the roller coaster, ferris wheel, and California's clear sky, the whole atmosphere felt super relaxing and scenic. If I ever come back for an actual dinner reservation, I'm definitely asking for patio seating outside. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered the Find Your Spark and Red is a Lucky Color. At first I asked if they could add an extra shot, and the bartender was totally willing to do it... until he came back a few minutes later and told me it would be an extra $17. Suddenly I discovered moderation. The drinks came out pretty quickly, around 5 minutes, and visually they were gorgeous--definitely very Instagram-worthy with the DCA background. Taste-wise though, both drinks were VERY sweet. Like borderline syrup-level sweet for me personally. That being said, the alcohol content was definitely there because I did feel a little tipsy afterward lol. Overall, the drinks themselves were just okay for me, but the atmosphere and views really made the experience worth it.
We snagged some last minute reservations for Lamp Light Lounge (downstairs). Completely different menu than the former "Ariel's Grotto". We ordered a few IPAs, pork bao buns, potato skins, and brussels sprouts. We enjoyed the food especially the potato skins. Definitely on the pricier side for entrees ($25-$35). Appetizers around ($18-25). They have a fun menu of themed cocktails. For our party of 2, we were seated on the bar chairs by the shared firepit counter. I was hoping to get seated by ourselves but we were elbow to elbow with different parties on that shared space. I felt like that took away from the dining experience. But we loved our server that day. Forgot her name but she made up for us sharing tables with a lot of people.

My experience here was beyond superb. Alan and Mayna made my birthday so special. The drinks kept coming and were all delicious especially since I don't usually drink cocktails. The Open Ocean, Sea Witch, and avocado toast with steak was phenomenal. Sit at the bar and surround yourself with the highlight of CA Adventures. read more

As a family, my children and I visited The Lamplight Lounge at Pixar Pier in California Adventure Resort with a 6:15 pm reservation. Upon arrival we were seated at a bar overlooking the water. However, the bar was a flat top that did not enable us to converse with one another, so we asked for a table. The wait staff told us another table would be ready in about 5-25 minutes. On normal circumstance my family would be happy to oblige, but when a 10-25 minute wait turns into over an hour, it is hard to stay content. When we finally were seated, our table and chairs were dirty. We asked for the table to be cleaned and it was never cleaned. I am extremely disappointed as my family has visited this restaurant before and had lovely service. I am extremely saddened to have time wasted that could have been used to create long lasting memories. read more

We came here for lunch. We got seated outside with a great view of Pixar Pier. It was a bit chilly when we came. We ordered the Piggy wings, Poke, and the donuts. I didn't care for the Piggy wings and I found a hair on it so I sent it back. But my daughter liked the poke. She was just looking for rice and they didn't have any. The donuts dipped in chocolate sauce was so yummy. Overall the food was pricey but that's how it is all over the park. The best part was the view and donuts. read more

I wanted to make sure that everyone knew that when they go to the Lamplight Lounge at Disneyland that they NEED the Lobster Nachos in their life. We had a couple of friends in from out of town and they wanted to check out Lamplight Lounge cause it was new and because they're obsessed with everything Disney. I went in with an open mind (mostly because I had no idea what they were talking about) before realizing that we were sitting in the old Cove Bar. Now, the views are spectacular, especially during a sunset. But you're gonna pay for it. The food is pretty expensive, same with drinks - but I think the cocktails are the way to go if you're coming to enjoy the scenery. For food, I went with the Lobster Nachos and it's a pretty good serving for $22. They give you a lot of the shellfish as well as chips, beans, cheese, jalapenos and more. I had a few bites of Jaime's Spicy Chicken Sandwich ($21) and was not impressed. The breading and texture were odd and it wasn't so much spicy, but more on the soggy side. We had a kiddo in our group and she chose the chicken. It's a healthy portion of bbq strips, hummus and fruit - for $12, I though it was decent for where we were, but again, she was still fiending for snacks after the fact so she didn't get too full. The drink menu is impressive featuring both alcohol and mock-tails. I enjoyed a Nectar in the Rye featuring rye whiskey. It was sweet and sour and the perfect way to wind down after a long day. I'd def order one again. Our server was fantastic as well as the other staff helping us - but like I said, I'd probably stick to drinks and apps versus the full on menu. read more
OHMYGOODNESS, the lobster Nachos are to die for! They were so delicious! The restaurant is a very popular place so I recommend calling in for reservations. Or if you're lucky, they will take your party in right away to the outside bar area. It's a great location for photos at the pier. I haven't been to California Adventure in ages to it was a nice treat to eat here. read more
This is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a drink at CA adventure. I always sit at the outside bar that overlooks the pier. It's such a nice getaway from the park and one cannot argue with a full bar. When this was Ariel's Grotto, seating was first come, first serve and a little more lax. Now, you actually have to check in at the entrance to the restaurant even if you just want to sit at the bar. Not as easy as before. Even when the bar is empty, you will still have to wait at least ten minutes to be seated. They seem to have cracked down on just walking into DCA bars, as I was met with the same rule at Carthay Circle. Not a big deal but I would like the opportunity to quickly grab a drink while waiting for a Fastpass to come up. If you are someone who likes to plan ahead, definitely make reservations on the Disney website or app. Anyway, this place has a nice selection of Disney themed drinks that will please any palate. The appetizers are also great quality, and while not cheap, portion sizes are quite large. I always get the lobster nachos, which I think are better at the new Lamplight than they ever were at Ariel's Grotto. They are more generous with portion size and toppings, including the lobster. This mound could easily feed 2-4 people and is well worth the $20. read more

We got relocated here after Wine Country Trattoria had some technical difficulties and it ended up being the BEST detour! Now I can say "We just sat at the bar and got drunk" when people ask what we did at Disneyland :) I love the new theming of this lounge, we got to sat at the bar near the water. The restaurant is Pixar themed and edgy. The animators of the Pixar movies drew all the items on the drink menu & coasters. Soo cute! Don't get me wrong, I loved Ariel's Grotto, but Lamplight is much better. Mel & Shane were the best bartenders! Very knowledgeable & personable. We got amazing recommendations on drinks & donut dips! Lobster Nachos - Fresh chips, pico de gallo, black beans, cheeses & chunks of lobster Donuts - 5 mini fresh made donuts with Chocolate Caramel sauce & Raspberry sauce with pop rock candy Don't forget to go to the restrooms area, they have lots of cute quotes on the walls. The lobster nachos are a must try when in DCA. It is pretty pricey for nachos, but they give you actual lobster chunks! It also has fresh jalapenos, onions, tomatoes, and cilantro in it. While I wouldn't exactly come back to have them again, my husband and I still enjoyed them. They are delicious! I also love the alcoholic drinks here as well as the non-alcoholic ones. They are very well designed and have unique flavors to them. My husband loved the frosty taste of the "open ocean." I loved my non-alcoholic drink, "mint to be." Both are definitely drinks to try (more so the "open ocean"). If you're paying a hefty price to be at Disneyland anyways, might as well have some time to sit down, enjoy some good food and drinks, and take in the atmosphere of being at a high production amusement park. :) read more

We came to relax here during the lunchtime, and I would say it was a pleasant meal. Service here is nice (as it is in all the parks), and we waited about 30 minutes to get seated. They message you through text when your table is available, so you can browse the shops nearby. We got the lobster nachos, the cheeseburger, and some drinks: The lobster nachos are definitely delicious, and it's decent enough for its $20 price. They're good to share, too. The cheeseburger was ok. It was kind of dry. I would recommend something else from the menu if you can. I also got the hot chocolate, which was perfect for a rainy day. The bill came out to about $20 per person from our drinks and shareable food. It's not the most price-efficient, but you get a gorgeous view of the incredicoaster, some privacy, and cool pixar-remixed music. read more

Really enjoy the drinks here. Strongest I've tasted in DCA so far. The view is nice, appetizers are pretty expensive and smaller portions now. The service used to be more fun and friendly but seems like some of the workers don't really enjoy being there. Kinda puts a damper on things but I enjoy coming w friends, getting a nice buzz and heading to Ariel when we're finished here. read more

I'm giving it three stars only because the server (male) that was giving the other server (Zandra) a break was very welcoming and professional. Though unfortunately when Zandra came back from her break it went downhill from there. I was ordering Coors Light for me and my partner. My step son was drinking a Shirley Temple. Anyway as I was trying to order another beer for myself, Zandra said that it hadn't been 20 minutes since the last one. The way she said that to me was uncomfortable. She told me she will come back in a few. I said ok and tried not letting ruin my good time there. She comes back and I end up ordering one for me and my partner. It ends up taking like 15 to 20 minútese waiting. I flag her down and ask her about it and she says "as you can see my bartender is backed up and look the beers are finally there." She said it in a real dry way. I was like uhhhh ok? How hard is it to put up two bottles of beer to serve. Idk, but before she came back from break the waiter before her was bringing the beers writhing five minutes of ordering. No problem at all until she came back. It was obvious she was judging my drinking and don't get me wrong. I know my limit and I would never cross that line at Disneyland with kids being around. It was so obvious she was just giving me a hard time but I I kept calm and didn't tip for that reason and I usually at least tip 20 and above for a hundred dollar bill or above. It was ridiculous! I felt so uncomfortable and I almost asked for a different server but she killed it and I decided to just ask for the bill. All of my time that I've gone out to restaurants to eat and drink; I've never heard of a 20 minute serving alcohol policy anywhere. Servers usually wait until you finish your drink. I wouldn't have had a problem with the 20 minute if Zandras vibe didn't stink. Lamplight Lounge you are always amazing. Service is always awesome so I'm sorry I didn't tip but servers like Zandra just don't cut it for me. I hope I never experience this again since we visit at least once or twice a month. Thank you. The view was great along with the appetizer. The beer was smooth and perfect. We didn't have a reservation but able to get in as a walk-in which was great since we arrived to the park at 4pm. Will continue to go and enjoy this place read more
Meh. That was my experience. I guess this place used to be Cove Bar and Ariel's Grotto which I've never been so I can't really compare from this new establishment. My friend made reservations for 1/12/19, we got to the place to check in and were told to wait for a text letting us know that the table is ready. We waited for about 5 minutes and was told to go downstairs for our table. I wanted to sit inside the restaurant since it was on a chilly day but we were sat by the balcony area where there are heaters and we had a great view of the Pixar Pier. I wished the sun was out because pictures, lol. The menu had a small selection in food. There are good amount of alcoholic drinks and some fun non-alcoholic ones too. I ordered the Salmon PLT which came with fries and it was just bland, the fries were hella good though but the dish isn't worth $20+. I ordered a drink called "Over The Budget" which was their version of Moscow Mule and I actually liked it. Service was decent. Our server checked in with us if we needed anything else. I find this place a bit overpriced though. Yes, it's inside the theme park especially Disney theme park but it's not like the Blue Bayou or other fancy restaurant on site. Not sure how I feel about coming back here. Most likely not. read more

Lamplight Lounge is definitely the place to go if you want to get some drinks at California Adventure. If you're like me, who loves strong drinks that still taste sweet, definitely come here! My party of 4 went around 2:00PM on a Saturday and were seated at the bar straight away without reservations. It was all in all a fantastic experience! The view was amazing, it was nicely shaded and cool! The service was very excellent!! We asked for suggestions on strong drinks that still tasted good and gave 4 recommendations, which we ordered. Most of the drinks were delicious and refreshing! We also ordered the chicken nachos were amazing and I'd definitely recommend if you need a snack with your drinks! I'd say that the only downside was that of course it's a bit pricey, but that's Disneyland for you! read more

I was super excited to get a reservation for this place as they were booked up afterwards. I got the lobster nachos after seeing the reviews and was super disappointed. The "lobster" is straight out of a can. It had the consistency of dog food and was super fishy tasting unlike actual lobster. It was pretty nasty, and at $21 pretty pricey for what you get. Service was slow considering there were a ton of servers and very patrons with the restricted capacity. I would pass on this place. My stomach is seriously upset with me for eating this. read more

Easily the best dine-in restaurant at Disney. Great theme and views with delicious food with a wide array of options to choose from - what's not to love? I got the Al Pastor Pork Chop and Chicken Ratatouille which I both highly suggest. Both were made very well and seem to taste higher quality than most of the other spots in the park. First timer here & this place is pretty amazing. The service here is great! They have a wide variety of drinks! My husband and I had their Lobster Nachos & we highly recommend it! However, they forgot to put the lobster in our nachos ): but they were more than happy to send us a corrected meal right away! I ordered the "open ocean with a splash" & it was the perfect drink to match our perfect day! Highly recommend! (A slushee alcoholic drink) My husband got a "over budget" it tasted more like ginger... so unless you like ginger, we don't recommend it. When you stop by here at California Adventure, you MUST give this place a try! I am obsessed with this location, right in the heart of California Adventure (on the water), and I am also obsessing over their menu. Sushi & Pixar Pier?! Everything about this place was phenomenal: Service, Food, Setup, Mocktails, Views, Aesthetic! Definitely put your name on the list in advance, as the main seating area can be a bit of a wait. The bar upstairs is outdoor only, and you must wait in line in order to seat. Worth it! They have the cutest of details with the color scheme, modern decor, and pixar details such as real sketches from movies we know and love - in the coolest chandelier style! Definitely a new hot spot for this park, and we're here for it! See you soon! read more

Service is excellent pretty much everywhere here at Disneyland! We went to the bar section of this place where they serve the "small plates" to be shared. We had the devilled egg and lobster nachos! I heart the romesco sauce with almond that they put with the devilled egg! Lobster is not really my dig but this nachos not bad! The only thing about it tho is the chips that came with it and i like my chips a bit thin..maybe they don't want to get it soggy that's why they put that thicker chips in their nachos. Their drinks are super awesome alcohol and non-alcoholics and with some gimmicks which is the Infinity fizz (bubbling and it came with a cool straw). You have to check this place out because the ambience is supercool with a view! read more
Love eating here when I'm at California Adventure! Best to make a reservation through the app, but you can always ask if they can accommodate you. They contact you through a text message when your table is ready, and you meet a host at the bottom of the stairs. All the staff that we've met are very friendly. Love all the Disney decor in the restaurant! My favorite are the Lobster Nachos! Can't wait to come back and try their new Brunch menu! read more

You're able to book reservations for restaurants 60 days out from your park reservation, so it's very possible everything is booked for October. Keep checking back closer to your park reservation date though, as people tend to cancel theirs closer…

The lower area that juts out over the water towards the wheel and standing area for World of Color is my favorite.

as far as i know, yep. the same bartenders work both inside and outside the lounge and they can still mix it all up for you along with new secret menu favorites.

you can, but there currently isn't any world of color showings just yet, they're still under a major refurb. :( (as of 02/08/19)
