Lamppost pizza is one of the best pizza i ever had. I order a lot from them and every single time it was delicious. I realized how good they were when I went back to the the Bay Area and ordered a pizza from round table, the best pizza in town. It was horrible this time compared to lamppost. Best pizza in town and most friendly staff. The negative reviews are funny as I've always seen nothing but great customer service. I go often because of the great regulars and great customer rewards program. Plus...cheapest pitchers of beer in town. Not the biggest selection but still the cheapest. My kids love all the video games and other kid friendly machines there. May cost you a pretty penny though as the pizza isn't Dominoes prices but you pay for the quality. I got pizza from lamppost on Sunday 03/8/20. I got home opened the pizza box myself and my mom started eating it. Half way through my mom was like what is this a bone and she bit into hard she took it out of her mouth and it was hard plastic piece very sharp edge. I called them Sunday and they told me owner is not here. So I went in there on Monday showed them my receipt and the piece of plastic they told me owner is not there. Leave your info and someone will get back to you. No one did so I called today the asked me again tell me your name and your number when did you come the the receipt info. This guy was seemed rude right away said to me did something fall in after you took it home. I said no I didn't open it at all I picked up the pizza took it straight home. I said all I like is a refund he said give me your receipt number which I was he hanged up on me. Very very rude guy and I can't believe he's the owner for 30 dollars rude guy. He said it would take him two weeks to find my receipt and I was cussing at him and that's why he hanged up on me before. I called back and said I am at my desk at work my coworkers are all around me and I asked them did I cuss at all they said no not one word. As he ever heard of customer service keep your 30 dollars I would never go back there and my mom is 72 yrs old what is she going to get out of this. They put just a great amount of cheese, with the bacon cooked just right so it's crispy and cruchy and flavorful and and and the pineapple tastes so fresh, sweet, and juicy. It's just really good stuff. We also ordered up some mozarella sticks. You know you have some good mozarella sticks when they bring out the marinara AND ranch sauce for you, on top of that when you're taking a bite you can't break the cheese. It just continues to stretch so gooey, cheesy, pure delicousness! My fiance and I are fans of hot/spicy so we went out on a limb and made a small order of the buffalo wings (It was tough cause she is a huge fan off BWW mango habanero wings - double spun!). I love love love lampost. Ever since I moved to Sacramento, I love ordering pizza from here when I get the chance. It doesn't take a super long time for pick up either. They have an amazing crust. It is a little pricey for pizza but either way, it's quality food. The game machines are awesome for passing time while waiting for our pizza, and they have huge TV's to watch. I ordered to go and asked for a sandwich with a side salad. I paid for my food from a young girl at the counter and handed her my cash. She explained that it was still being made so I went to the bathroom. You can see the food prep station from the hallways by the bathrooms. RIGHT AFTER SEEING HER TOUCH MONEY AND THE DIRTY KEYBOARD SHE WENT TO GO MAKE MY FOOD... She did not wash her hands at all. She did not put any gloves on. I asked management if the girl had washed her hands at all during the making of my sandwich and he went to go ask her. SHE LIED AND SAID YES. If I could do a 0 Star I would, one day me and my family made a choice to go to a different pizza place. We were exited to try something new. Me and my family ethnicity is Asian and once he walked in we saw white people which we didn't really mind but does matter in this story. I walked up to the register and I was helped by the manager himself Leo, At First he asked me what I would liked but then he started to get a more of an attitude and more impatient because I was wondering what me and my family wanted to get because we didn't quite know yet. I understand that sometimes they may get impatient but it wasn't taking too long and I was making sure I said thank you and sorry as I was waiting to see what my family wanted. He looked annoyed and started to roll his eyes and I asked if somethings wrong and he said can we just hurry this up I got other things to do. As if my service as a customer is an important. I had my youngest child with me who is five and I look down at her to make sure all is well and she was not looking up concerned because I wouldn't want my child involved in the situation. As i look down at her I looked up to all the other customers and I saw them staring at me and quite frankly I felt embarrassed. Again I just brushed it off and I ordered and I said sorry and we had a seat. He was the one who served our pizza, when he served it he just kind of threw it at the table And if I was being honest I was getting annoyed because I was I looked around as he served at the other Caucasian people he was nice and kind it had a conversation with him and say enjoy. this man (leo) is also Caucasian. if my kids notice his behavior and they look around and see all the other Caucasian people and see that we don't look like them and we're being treated worse and it lowers their self-esteem because we look different makes my heart break because i myself have grew up with this type of treatment and it affected me hard but I wouldn't want nothing like that to happen to kids to be how I grew up I thought the society was better. the pizza wasn't that good it looks like it was made extra trashy just for us and I will never be coming back here again and I'm sorry to others who have felt this way. Their online menu does not represent anything currently offered in the restaurant. When I called I was informed they do have gf crust now, which was a plus. I asked if I could use the online coupon when I arrived or if I should use it over the phone and was told I could bring it in. When we arrived we were told our 40% off coupon was only good for Mondays and Tuesdays now-this was a Friday- but that they have a standing deal for 30% for the rest of the days: when you purchased either a medium, large, or extra-large pizza you could get the second medium, large, or extra-large pizza for 30% off. We were getting the medium gluten-free and a large specialty. Even though we were paying more for the gluten-free crust, which we are perfectly accustomed to-they would not discount the second pizza. When I went to cancel the order the girl behind the counter said she would check with her manager. She came back and mumbled something under her breath, I asked her to repeat it as the manager was punching buttons. She mumbled again then looked up and said OK. I stood there and stared at her because I had no idea what she said and after a minute of awkward silence she said 'your order is canceled'. I have nothing but good things to say about Lamppost pizza as they have been my favorite pizza makers since I could remember. One should not take my review lightly as I am hugely critical of pizzas. Lamppost makes pizzas perfectly with tons of toppings, thick bread, and especially thick crust! I can't even complain about the price being over that of their many commercial/chain pizza competitors as Lamppost's ingredients are obviously much higher quality and in turn lead to the creation of an incredible tasting pizza. Honestly, any specialty pizza is delicious but I especially love the garlic chicken! If I could make a suggestion, I would only ask that Lamppost please provide free condiments such as ranch to the to go customers as I noticed I receive them complimentary if I dine inside but not if I order to go and I'm not sure why this is. Other than that, I love this Lamppost much better than their Laguna location (better pizza making in my opinion) as it reminds me of their original location that was once on Mack Road and I hope they remain on Vintage Park for many years to come! read more

I loved lamppost pizza. I've lived in the neighborhood for a long time and have always enjoyed their pizza, but tonight will be the final time that I ever return here. As was enjoying my pizza as usual I found my self pulling at least an 7 in strand of hair out of my mouth. I was disgusted and really disappointed. When I returned I noticed most the employees had long hair in a pony tail or were wearing a hat. Best pizza place in Elk Grove! Specialty pizza's are so good! You can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite is the the chicken garlic but i like to substitute the garlic sauce with pesto sauce and add shroom's! Our family is new to the area. We try to opt to support small business and saw that Lamppost had really good reviews and was nearby. We gave them a call on 8/15/20 and were told that they don't deliver to our area. I asked them 3 miles away. It sounded like she checked with her coworkers or possibly a manager, but she told us that they don't deliver to any of the new build homes. She was probably inexperienced in customer service because she was unsympathetic about it. I was surprised with all the reviews raving about service. I still gave them the benefit of a doubt and opted for pick-up. I didn't wanna pass up supporting small business just because a worker is possibly having a bad day or the hiring manager just hired someone who wasn't a good fit. We got the pizza on time and I wasn't impressed. There was too much crust and hardly any marinara sauce. But 1 star for the pizza being ready for when they said it was going to be ready! read more

The menu shows price of $6.49 but, they charged me $7.99 and when I questioned it, the Manager or Owner said their prices went up. Well, print new menus. They have to by law honor the price on the menu or at least should have told me the price was wrong and refused to honor that price so I cancelled my order. They gave me my money back but refused to give me the tip I had already placed in their tip jar telling me that their girls work hard. There are two pizza joints over here off calvine and eg florin, lampost and round table. I used to only go to round table joints, but the one over here is really slacking. Takes forever to get delivered and its never as hot as lampost not to mention way too overpriced.This Round table has a bunch of hooligans working for them so the customer service isn't too great. So I have been ordering from Lampost for about a year and a half now, and I've never had any problems with them. The food is always piping hot when it gets to my door and the food is good. Purchased a variety of different dishes. The pizza was 5 star... excellent crust and abundance of toppings. The pastrami sandwich was 4 star; the excessive amount of pickles was easily remedied. Great place for sport watching many tv's just ask for your game. what I don't care for is the broom sweeping while I'm eating as well as others. that does not sit well with me. all that dust swirling around, not good. also no rules on certain patrons coming in with their underware showing.
