By far my most favorite salon! I discovered it during my move to Downey and have been going there since. Aside from being welcoming and friendly they provide a wide array of services. I usually go in for a gel mani and pedi and it almost always lasts me about 3 weeks. I would definitely recommend you to stop by and meet Leslie and her girls! Came in at 3:30pm, was told it would be 15min wait. Waited 40min. I know all nail salons have this problem. The prrson in the chair before me was allowed to wait in the chair at least 15mins for her pedi to dry, they were trying to force me out. They're fast bc they don't take the time to make sure the pedi is done correctly. They rush it bc theyre just telling everyone they'll take them in 15mins. Stop doing that. This goes to all salons. The massage that comes with the pedicalure is basically her putting lotion on your legs and then wiping it off. Theres no actual massage or pressure. We'll see how long this pedicure lasts. They seem to give special treatment to "regulars" instead of trying to get new "regulars". read more

They are so far the best place I've got my nails done and I get them done religiously!! The only reason I came here is because my boyfriend was going to get a haircut down the street and while we waited I found this place. It had the best number of stars in this area. I can tell why! I got a pedicure and it's nice that they have the option of different prices listed that you can choose from. I got the basic which is $15. They did an amazing job taking off the cuticles and the scrub is amazing too! The wait wasn't long. I walked in and picked a color and was seated and it's a Friday! The service was very good, but I felt we were overcharged. Maybe them believing we were one time customers led to that overcharge which is a shame cause we would of become return customer if I had felt we were charged appropriately. We did a combo of diamond pedicure and a basic gel manicure at $60.00 a piece and the $1.00 card fee which we were fine with. It is a shame that they felt they needed to do such. I just can not believe there is such a nails salon like this in Downey. I have been recommended by my friend to give this place a try on my pedi/mani and it comes out to be perfect. it's very hard for me to set up an appointment because I'm so busy but I always call just before going and they'll let me know if they are able to fit me in and usually do. I had stopped going for almost a year and when I was finally able to go again, I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I didn't get the name of the girl who did my nails but I got Hombre acrylics, a manny and gel polish. She did a very good job. almost two weeks later, I have no chipping and minimal lifting around the edges which I can hardly see. I've almost always been very satisfied with the work they do. The salon is always clean, the tools they use are always properly sanitized and the prices are fair. all in all I have no complaints thus far and I can't wait to go back for my fills. They always do exactly what I ask (I'm a bit picky) without any complaints or attitude which I appreciate. I would recommend you give this salon a try as all the other salons I've gone to in my surrounding area just don't compare to Lanas. They are usually very busy so if you don't have an appointment, call first and they will try to accommodate you. Just one word of advice, they only take CASH TIPS so make sure to bring some cash to tip the girls. I always forget but am able to go to the Wal-Mart market next door and do a bit of shopping the get cash back and bring the tip back to them. They are always hospitable and friendly so you're gonna want to tip them. read more

I have been coming to Lana's for over two years now and I it. When I get there they always greet me by my name which makes me feel like they really pay attention to their customers. Annie is my go to girl, she does a great job every time and remembers what I like and don't. With Annie I can totally relax and enjoy my pedicure and manicure. Ivy also does a great job especially for acrylic. I always dread removing the acrylic because I have very sensitive nails and it hurts but Ivy removed them for me with care and did not hurt me at all. Thanks Lana Nails! read more

I made an appointment today for my birthday and had to randomly have someone to work on my nails because Lisa no longer works there. I expressed the desire to assign me to someone good. I get there and they assign me to a new lady. She had no experience even tho she said she's been working for 6 years. She did a horrible job and didn't take her time. I walked out with my feet being incomplete because the owner told me that all her other workers were to scared because I'm too picky due to my great experience with Lisa that she doesn't have anyone there as good as her. Another customer who was sitting next to me even spoke up and let the owner know that the lady wasn't doin a good job. This place will continue to lose more customers. I've been here about 3-4 times at the recommendation of a friend. I've had my nails done by Alice, Ivy, and Chau/Chow. The Good first. All of them did a good job with the designs, cleaning, and in general. Not all nail salons have staff that do a good job in general. Now the bad. The prices are a little high. I usually get charged $7 for nail designs when I've been charged $5 at other places for the same designs or more. Alice and Ivy have excellent customer service. Today, I got a pedicure for the first time here with Chau/Chow. I asked her if they had gloves other than latex since I'm allergic, she said no and offered to just do a color change. So, I said it's okay I might just be allergic to the powder and that I really needed a pedicure badly. So, I let her keep the latex gloves on. She gave me the pamphlet and asked what kind of pedicure I wanted, I said just a regular pedicure without taking the pamphlet so she got irritated and threw it back where she got it. After the pedi, I went to go sit with my friend who was also getting a manicure at the time. So she did my manicure but I wanted to have a nail design also matching my pedi. So, I stopped her and asked her for a snowflake design for my mani also before she finished. She tried to tell me she couldn't anymore that it was too late. Then I asked her how come you can't do it? Isn't it just layers because it's gel? She got all mad, started complaining in her language, and slammed the nail polish bottles she was holding and had Alice finish my design for me because she was that mad. She was in a rush and bad mood the whole time. On Sundays apparently they can get really busy but they only have 3 people working versus the 6 they usually have which is stupid. There is no excuse for Chow's rude attitude and as a paying customer, she shouldn't be doing that at all. I was still nice and still gave both of them tip since they still did a good job despite the horrible customer service and bad attitude I received. I would come back here, just request anyone except Chau/Chow. I don't like name dropping, but with the rudeness I got from her today, it's appropriate. read more

Once she calls me to the chair I wait 25 minutes without being served too and the water turned ice cold . Once she is told she warms it up and once again no service and water becomes cold again . I've been coming here for a long time, and the ladies are wonderful and a big reason why I keep going back! I get my acrylic nails done every two weeks by Ivy, and she ALWAYS does a good job I have not had one fall off or chip. I get a pedicure about once a month and usually get the Lana's Diva pedicure, its $25 but for the amount of massage time you get and the hot stones I think it is well worth it!
