I've only had sandwiches here but plan to try one of the fish dinners next. Sandwiches are wonderful and filled with goodness. My favorite is the Raspberry Smoked Turkey panini. Lots of good smoked turkey, crispy bacon, dried cranberries and raspberry aioli. Flavors burst in your mouth. So good! This place is locally and family owned. I am loving this deli! All of their sandwiches are unique with great flavor combos and quality ingredients. The best part is that they have gf options and I've never had a reaction. Good sandwiches and friendly people. What I liked the best was they Broadway NYC theme. This is the first time I have walked into a restaurant and heard 'Dear Evan Hansen's playing on the speakers. Standing by my previous view. This place is WONDERFUL and I'm so lucky that I live in Lancaster and can enjoy their sandwiches as often as I do. My boyfriend even loves it here, and he's super picky about his sandwiches! Every time he's over he suggests we order from Lancaster's Broadway Deli, and I'm always on board. They offer options for everyone. There's vegetarian sandwiches and multiple types of gluten free bread. My favorite sandwich has always been the Turkey Rachael. I love that you can place online orders too. I did this a few weeks ago and when I arrived to pick up my food I realized I didn't order my sandwich gluten free. It was completely my fault. I told the owner not to worry about it. I was not going to have him remake the sandwich. (I was just going to give it to my friend instead.) The owner INSISTED on making my sandwich over again. He said that he understands what it means to have Celiac and he did not want me to get sick. I tried paying for a second sandwich since I caused him to probably throw out the original one. Again, he insisted that I only pay for the one sandwich. The sandwiches are so delicious, but the customer service makes this place even better. As a Long Islander, where delis are sacred and a good one is worth its weight in gold, let me tell you - this place is the real deal. I felt like I was back at home, eating my homemade dill pickle and Boar's Head cold cuts! But beyond the meats, everything that comes on the sandwiches are paired so perfectly. I have have been going to the Broadway Deli for years. Amazing food and the service is top notch. The owner understands Celiac and has a extensive selection of gf options. Pretty much any sandwich can be made gluten free. I have been using thier catering menu for my children's birthday parties and communion parties and my family/friends rave over the roast beef, chicken!! The cole slaw is the best I ever had!! I hate to give it a two, but the hours are so inconsistent that people need to know it. Food is always good and service matches, but the owner just decides to close up early so often you never know if the place will be open when you visit. I can see if it was a staffing issue, someone is sick and they're short handed, but that's not what happens. They just close up at two or three and the only way you know is a little sign in the front window. It's a shame. I go out of my way to give them my business, but I can't bother with it anymore. Super frustrating to drive all the way out there only to find out they're not open. And this isn't just certain days of the week. It could be any day, so you're rolling the dice when giving it a shot. Update: They no longer offer deli service on Mondays and Tuesdays claiming they only get boars head deliveries on Wednesdays. My original review gave them two stars but I'm dropping it down to one because this place is now kind of a joke. I went to a deli in Depew today, and it's a Sunday. The place was packed, there were tons of sundries and spices and all kinds of stuff that I did not expect to find there. The last few times I went to the Broadway deli there was less and less stuff including meat available. I wish the owners nothing but the best in their catering business because that's what it seems they really want to do. I will not be back and that's a shame because I love supporting local businesses in my town. At least I found a different deli, the Omega Deli on Borden. I just discovered this little gem near my work and I am so glad I did! Delicious food, pleasant service and a charming atmosphere. Very delighted that they carry not just one, but three types of gluten free bread. So far I have had the NY Reuben and the Tuscan sandwich, both on GF rye, and both sandwiches were fabulous. I like this place. You should go there. They make good sandwiches. They offer sides-they're okay. The pickles are super good as well. I could take or leave the whole Broadway stage theme, but that's their thing so it's cool. A few times I've felt ambitious and created my own sandwich; they turned out pretty well. I find it best to stick with their menued sandwich ideas- they have never let me down! They use/offer Boar's Head deli meat which, in my opinion, cannot be beat and is not overly common around here. We had the buffalo chicken and Greek salad with chicken. The buffalo chicken salad was breaded, but wasn't even chicken finger quality. I'd put the meat on par with a chicken nugget. The Greek salad was similar. Lettuce was iceberg, and it had two slices of tomato, some red onion, and a little mixed cheese. The chicken was a huge let down and I could not recommend it to anyone. Charge and extra dollar and serve fresh chicken please. This is my second experience here. First wad for a couple of lackluster and over priced sandwiches. Wine be back unless I'm desperate or there's a change of management. The food may be passable for some, but I'm sorry to say that's not the case for me. read more

We have gone here several times and I agree, best sandwich shop in Lancaster. Not that we have a plethora of them but they do make a good 'wich. Like a deli theme, they will make it to order. Pick your type of bread, the stuff you want in the middle and the condiment of your choice. They have very good selection of the stuff in the middle and offer the Boar's Head brand as well. Don't know about you but I feel Boar's Head makes a good product, and you can actually taste the difference. You can also pick a 'wich from many offerings off their menu and call ahead for pickup or eat in.. If you want gluten-free they have a very good selection of that too. We had the Friday fish fry done GF and have to tell you, it was VG. We had the GF breaded and GF grilled fishes. It comes w/ the usual suspects of sides of FF, slaw and tater salad. And they put the slaw and taters in a separate container when getting it to-go. When a place makes a successful effort to separate the sides so they don't 'slime' all over each other like a 'garbage plate' that's a plus to me. Also it helps keep the hot stuff away from the stuff that should be cool. Good thinkin' LBD! One comment I have is the slaw was a little bland and a touch too much mayo for me. It needed a little 'kick' of spices and'maybe the acid of vinegar, but that's me .... spice and acid. But the fish was VG and we'll be doing it here more often. Yum. One other comment is the Crustini. We had the Tuscan Vegetable. First, be ware. It is a flat bread, not little round 'crustini' breads so it more resembles a flat-bread pizza or Mexican chalupa. I didn't think it should have had the lettuce on it. FYI, heated lettuce wilts and gets slimy. Maybe that's why the menu didn't say it had it. Maybe it was an assembly faux pas. Anyway, I would cut back on the cheeses and concentrate on the title ...... Grilled Tuscan Veggies. Flavor it w/ the oils and pesto as the menu says. But we will try one of the others on the menu for a fair comparison. One note: Watch their hours of operation. They're not open late evening. I absolutely love this place! They always have specials daily and have a huge variety to choose from on the regular menu. My first visit I got this roasted pork sandwich, I think it was on flatbread and the flavor and juiciness of the pork was AMAZING! I lucked out that it was a special and managed to get it twice! I then went back and ordered it again, thinking it was a regular item because I hit the jackpot twice. This time it wasn't on the menu. I was bummed but tried their regular menu roasted pork on a Kaiser roll with provolone cheese. OH MY GOSH it was SO good!! Even BETTER than the other one I loved!! There was so much juicy pork in this yummy au jus (sp?), I swear it could have fed two people!! My next visit I learned to specify "roast pork". I had been RAVING about this sandwich so my husband and I stopped for lunch. He got his usual bon mi sandwich (again..I may have misspelled it!) and I thought I ordered my "roasted" pork sandwich, but the girl thought I said "pulled" pork. I was so disappointed, only because we had just had pulled pork!! But - that said - it was a very good pulled pork! I strongly recommend Broadway Deli. Stopped in here to grab a quick early lunch. There are so many sandwich choices! Many specialty sandwiches/Panini's/wraps. I opted for their pulled pork Panini on a Chibatta roll and my husband ordered a turkey sandwich. There were only 2 employees here, one of which was the owner a/k/a the sandwich maker. There was no one else in the place. It took almost 20 minutes for our sandwiches to be brought out to us. I know I read other reviews that stated they are a little slow so I kind of expected a little slowness but 20 minutes was a little long, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. When my sandwich did come out, it had huge tender chunks of pork and not shredded like I prefer. The roll was really thick so if I were to order again, I would choose a different bread. I ended up taking the pork off the bread and shredding it myself and eating with a fork! The pork was very tender and juicy. I would have preferred a little more sauce on it though. I will try again but will listen to other Yelpers and call in my order ahead of time! read more

Awesome huge sandwiches! This place is one of those hidden gems. They serve a variety of sandwiches and have great daily specials that include a drink. They also make a version of a flat bread/ pizza that is a great change from your normal sandwich. They are a little slow so call ahead if you are in a hurry at lunch time. I have gone here before and the food has been decent, which is the only reason I am not giving it 1 star. This last time I ordered the beef tenderloin sandwich. The cut of meat was not beef tenderloin. There was far too much grizzle in it to be that. The meat that was in there was overcooked, dry, and so tough I could not chew it. The sandwich was completely inedible. The staff there is friendly and the place is clean. I can say this much I ate it because I was hungry. I got the grilled chicken sandwich. It was supposed to be marinated grilled chicken breast. I'd say it was one flavorless peice of chicken that very possibly could have been boiled. It was supposed to have carmalized onions. It didn't it had ONE ring of a raw red onion. Too light on the roasted red pepper. I also got a cup of chili it was ok but it was not chili more of a soup consistency. I ordered a side of coleslaw just to try because I am very picky on coleslaw so I knew it may not be my type. It's too creamy for my liking but others my like that type. My husband got the hot pepper soup. Nothing great pretty thick consistency. He also got the Italian Ruben it wasn't quite like a Ruben it was on toasted bread but the sandwich wasn't hot.
