Was upsold from the get go. Went in with my car having 2 codes . Had some cover work done and they must have not replaced my parts correct because all of the sudden my car had misfire codes after. Literally my car came out with more issues than when I first took it in. No trust. Will not be going back at all. read more

I am calling the better business bureau right after I write this. They ripped me off not once but twice. I took my car in to service it for a tune up shortly after I bought it. (March, 2010) I had Gary change the spark plugs on a 2004 Ford Focus and he used GM parts. Bad move because the car gave me headaches yesterday and it was the Spark plugs. When it comes to Ford's you need to use the Ford Motor Craft parts. Not even 20,000 miles later GM spark plugs are giving me problems. Cars are like computers. You cannot use A PC part on a Mac. or vice versa and expect the computer to work!!!!!!!!! The Second time was in June, 2010 I complained of a no cranke on the same Focus and he tried telling me it was the full pump. He changed the fuel pump and was still getting the no cranke sometimes when I tried starting the car. I finally figured out for myself it was a simple fix of the ground cable for the battery. When I told him what the issue was he just laughed. read more

Excellent! They are honest, reliable, friendly mechanics. My family has been going here for years. They've earned a solid reputation as very honest people. I wouldn't trust my car with anyone else. They'll let you know if something needs to be done on your car or if you can wait on it. If they say something needs to be replaced, they'll always show me the old (broken) part to show that it really did need to be replaced. I service every car my family owns at Lances. Great, fast and honest work. I took my wife's car to get her breaks changed at 60,000 miles. Gary checked all the brake pads and told me I still had 50% on the pads and that changing the brakes at this time wasn't necessary. Any other place would had gladly taken my money. I took my car to Gary at Lance's Automotive after the pulley for the fan belt blew and he was really great. I had found them on Yelp because I'm rather new to the area and didn't know where to go. He was able to see me right away first thing in the morning (I had to work later that day) and he was very honest and let me know what else was going on with my car and if I wanted those things done before he did it. The best Auto repair on the planet! But, please don't keep Gary so busy that he doesn't have time to fix my car. Why is Gary so Great? I can only ponder that it is because he is an honest man with a big heart. He will not overcharge you, he will find out what the problem is even if you've already had 10 other places try and he will fix it properly and fast! I had just been released from nearby Kaiser Hospital after having a very serious outpatient surgery. The moment we left the hospital, our car began to act up mechanically. I knew we could not drive it in this condition to my home 50 miles away. I did not personally know of any mechanic in the area. My granddaughter used her phone to find the nearest auto repair shop and found yours just a few blocks from our location. It was easy to find. When we arrived at your shop, my wife asked you to check out our car and informed you of my condition. I sat in the car as I watched you and another mechanic go into immediate action.
