The response was good ... but thats where it stops.. The technicians came and figured out what the issue was. They left giving me the options for the issue. the first option was to order the part and have them order it and install it. They wanted to charge me $1400 dollars for a part which costs about $40-$50 + install... the second option was given to replace the machine which was $6000 approx. The thing that really got me going was when they left they didnt even bother to close the Navien Water heater which they opened up.... they took the screws to put it back togather. there were parts that have been left in and not even put back in place. Price gauging and a lack of service is quite infuriating. Never again. read more

We moved into a large home this past winter with 9 steam radiators and an on-demand water heater, all powered by an oil-burning furnace. Our heating bills in the cold months were outrageous, so we began investigating whole-home replacement heat pumps as a solution, plus installing a new 50 gallon Hybrid Heat pump electric water heater to replace the extremely inefficient oil-burning one. While the up-front costs are significant, the Mass Save incentives were pretty compelling, so we started getting quotes for our job. Tim from Landry Mechanical came out, and had a competitive price, and were able to answer all of our questions. A huge convenience was that Landry handled everything, including the subcontractor for removing the 275 gallon oil tank in the basement, as well as all of the radiators. Landry was able to remove everything and install the 7 Heat pump mini splits in exactly the configuration we wanted. Due to global supply chain issues, we had to wait about 2 months for the second outdoor condenser unit, but Natasha and Katie in the front office were wonderful with keeping us up to date with the process. Adrian and his crew did a fantastic job on site, and were extremely friendly and professional. We are completely happy with the system, and couldn't recommend Landry Mechanical enough. read more

prompt to pick up the phone and come out, and the techs are great...but VERY expensive. was quoted a flat rate to fix my furnace which I agreed to and prepaid them half for, they ordered a part and came back and we figured out it was still under warranty. they reworked the quote to exclude the part and told me I would pay their hourly rate for the fix. turns out that was $600 for less than one hour of labor. Invoice received just showed a flat rate for the fix, messaged them twice for an explanation and they haven't bothered to respond. I understand they have overhead but it all felt like gouging, and not responding to my messages really tells me to call someone else next time. read more

Asked them to provide a quote for water heater install. Got a million texts from their automated system but the tech showed hours later than expected. When he came, he clearly didn't know anything about water heaters and tried to sell me on a furnace replacement for a perfectly functional furnace. Then got a million texts asking for a review of the work he had done. We did not end up using them, but I got the sense that these guys probably do mostly commercial work on new buildings, I wouldn't recommend for residential work. The tech also tried to charge me for the consultation, even though the dispatcher who sent him clearly told me there would be no charge for the visit (it's standard for plumbers to do a free consultation when considering a large project like a water heater replacement). Save your time and look elsewhere. Three stars only because they were courteous and didn't do any lasting damage other than wasting my time. read more

The process of getting an estimate for a new whole home generator install was excellent. David did a fantastic job, and I was excited to move on with the process with Landry. They are local to me and despite them being a bit more expensive than others, I always try to utilize local business when possible. Here is where the good stops. I was approved for financing for my project but there was an issue with the rate that I asked them to see if they could work through for me. I was told to work with Nicole in the office but after leaving multiple messages and receiving no call back, I gave up. My wife calls their office and is told that she is just finishing up a phone call and she would call my wife back. After waiting all day with again, no follow up, I call the office to find out why no one called back, and I am told Nicole wasn't even in that day. I ask to speak with a manager, and I am giver to a different woman, and I explained everything to her. Although she seemed interested, she stated she would call me back and once again, no call back. Worst thing you can do to a potential customer. After repeated calls and having to leave messages every time, and after a total of three and a half weeks with no follow up, I went to the office myself. I spoke to the plumbing manager who was there, and he listened to my issues and told me he would follow up with me the next day. WHICH HE DID! First thing in the morning I received the quote I had been asking for weeks for and a follow up call from him. One thing he did say to me was that they were VERY busy and were struggling to keep up. Albeit a great problem, if you do not do what you say you will and give customers the attention, they deserve you will not have that problem for long. I asked to receive a call from the owner Ray and have not yet received that. The office seems to be an utter disaster and could not be more unhelpful. After all of this, I was left with such a horrible taste in my mouth, I chose to not even complete my project at all. If you want a company that pays attention to details, you may want to look elsewhere. If you want a company that provides good and constant communication, you DEFINETELY need to look anywhere else. To use their words to me, they are far too busy to focus on customers' needs and are more concerned apparently with the quick, easy sales and not any customers that require a bit of attention. Extremely overpriced and expensive. The technicans are fine, but I cannot recommend this company at all. I had multiple things fixed by them before I realized how incredibly overpriced they were pricing their services. The leak test alone cost us $1500, you can just imagine the prices of everything else. Our last interaction, we were told that we needed our pressure switch replaced. I tried calling multiple times to get this scheduled and asked for pricing. I was told they would call or email me back, and it's been over 2 weeks with no contact. At this point, I've already got a different HVAC company who took care of the issue. It feels so slimy and scammy how they obnoxiously overcharge their customers. I highly recommend googling how much the repair normally would cost before settling on their price. There's no way that their services should cost 5X more than ofher professional companies. Ray I wanted to let you know what a great experience I had with the Heater Install on Esther Street in Worcester, MA Your team showed up on time and were very polite and very diligent! They started by protecting the floors and carpets by laying down blankets. Several times they needed to review things with me and each and every time they were polite and very professional! They worked hard and even though I had to open up the wall so they could chase a pipe they continued to work on the retrofitting the gas portion of the project while I cut into the wall. After the was chase was cut into they ran the pipe and all was good. They even finished early having to wait for the plumbing inspector to arrive. This company is dishonest! They made an appointment with me 7:30am-8:30am 04/23/2020 (Thursday), a HVAC technician named Brandon should show up. But this technician called me at 8:55am saying that he was feeling comfortable and not coming. And, at 9:22am the company sent me message saying that they were sending ANOTHER HVAC technician arriving at 10:00am, however still the same person. I do not trust this company at all. I found them to be very knowledgeable in all aspects of installing new, oil-fired hot water boilers, including obtaining the MassSave rebates and getting the necessary permits.
