I got her to VVC Short Pump around 8pm and had one of the best experiences I've ever had with a vet. They took her into the ER immediately upon my arrival and were thorough and professional. Everything turned out ok, and I was able to take her home. The doctors and folks working there were incredibly knowledgeable, kind, generous, and amazing! I came with my neighbors as they are Hispanic so I went to confirm and translate with them. The ladies at the front were very nice and welcoming. We did a walk in and were instantly helped. The dog we came in with was badly injured , they took her to the ER right away. In the process of admitting her , the ladies were very welcoming and patient with all that was going on. We were there for a while but the time there it was well. I really like how clean and comfortable it was in the waiting room. They also have vending machines and coffee. The service was immaculate and they were very reasonable when it came down to billing.

After I waited 2 hours, I went to the receptionist and was told that it could be another 3 hours my cat would have to wait. And could even be longer than that. They just leave you waiting in the room. Nobody comes in while you are waiting. You just sit. Was told that we had to wait just like a hospital for humans. I have never waited in the emergency room 5 hours or longer. There weren't that many cars in the parking lot. So thoughtless and inconsiderate. After I was told that it would be 3 hours or more, I called Virginia Veterinary Center in Shortpump. They told me to come right over. As soon as I got there, they took my cat's vitals and told me they would take us back. One half hour later, they brought us back. We waited another 20 minutes for the doctor. He came in. Did an exam and 10 minutes later my cat got fluids in her for about an hour. It took 3 hours tops. I have to be honest with you. I wish I could have given a zero star to Blue pearl. There is absolutely no reason that anyone should have to wait 5 hours or more for an emergency pet hospital to be seen by the veterinarian. Unfair and scary, worrying for your pet around people who obviously don't care if you are there or not. A total waste of time.
