We've been eating at Vanowen/Reseda Las Fuentes since 20 years ago, Melody's and Sol Y Luna, we love the food is consistently good! At this new Chatsworth location we felt the price was too high same food (tortilla chips have never been free except for at Sol Y Luna Restaurant on Tarzana) I asked for the machaca eggs and beans coffee was not included for $12.50 and the wet carne asada burrito combo style is approx $21 whew! too expensive for burrito combo; we're not sure why this location the prices are high maybe due to the location so expect to pay for a minimum of 3 persons between $65 to $70 without a tip and only 1 drink see photo of receipt attached. The Machaca Egg/beans plate was very small I ended up having lunch by 11:30 pm I was so hungry, I felt there was not enough food in the plate I got full on four salsas cups well if you want to lose weight this is great news for you, but if you are paying for food to feel satisfied you may want to consider cooking yourself a Mexican meal for less than half the price. read more

The chicken one had a tiny spoonful of beans and the chicken was dry and no flavor. A bit overpriced and not a good experience , tostada had way too much sour cream and barely any meat , definitely do not order the nachos to go just from pick up to my house, which was probably five minutes or less. I tried this place last night for the first time. Was very excited to see it as I've heard many wonderful things about it. I got there about 5 PM. There were a few people ordering takeout as well as eating in. Things I liked: the amount of food was exceptional, the enchiladas were stuffed well with beef, and I feel the price for the beef enchilada meal was fair. Things I did not like: chips were not provided with the meal even a handful. The food had absolutely no flavor. Also, the amount was sufficient. It was bland and tasteless. I always give a new place a second chance, and hope things change by the next time I go. Look I wanted to like it and came in with an open mind, but the portions and smaller. The amount of steak they give you is not worth the price (slim to none). They left out ingredients that were supposed to be on my order. The food is ok but I'm just going to stick to the original location. Finally I stopped by this new restaurant next to my gym and ordered my dinner to go. The restaurant is cute and lively , lots of options on the menu. I ordered carne asada plate and here's my thoughts: the meat was juicy and flavorful , like a thin beef steak and well seasoned. The sides rice and refried beans were also delish as well as a grilled jalapegno and guacamole . The reason why I gave it 4 stars, is that the sides to the meat were so small, cmon people, I'm a small female on a diet and those tiny scoops of rice and beans left me hungry and wanting more . It doesn't cost a thing to make a slightly bigger portion so hungry men and women can enjoy a meal to the fullest. The price was 22.99 which is a bit high but fair IF THEY INCREASE THE PORTION SIZE. Was excited to try this new location of an old favorite. Was. Please read onwards. I ordered a burrito. To go. Tonight. Oh my. Even requested that it be a "wet burrito". No price difference. A normal thing from every other time I went to the other location in years past. Somewhere this caused confusion. Been going to Reseda location for over 25 years and this new location is not nearly as good. Me and my family live in Chatsworth so when they open a Chatsworth location we thought we would get the same as we always received in Reseda. Well I was wrong for what were paying we are not getting the same quality of food or the same size with less meat. I use to frequent the Reseda location, and the staff there is always friendly and eager to help the customers and it's unfortunate I didn't have the greatest experience here. Unfortunately, this review would be about the experience of ToGo. If you have the chance ORDER TOGO as the location is too small and standing in line to place an order is crazy when busy. I was saddened that my simple order was received incorrectly when I got home, and the staff always had to check with the kitchen if they could do something. I just didn't want no Cheese inside my Burrito I spent $60 and they couldn't even supply their customers with a small bag of Chips. I have been anxiously waiting for this restaurant to open since it is so close to me . I have gone to the Reseda location many times before. I was there earlier this month at that point they had only been open a couple weeks. Understanding that they were still adjusting to the new location, I wasn't expecting too much. When I went home after picking up my to go order, I was disappointed that the chicken enchilada I was looking forward to was only filled with cheese that was not melted and the bowl of soup was such a small person more like a cup. It was frustrating not being able to call the restaurant because there was no active phone number listed and no way to communicate the error with the restaurant. read more

I have tried three times to come try out this new location and it's always closed. They finally opened and I came today on January 27 at 12:15pm and it's closed again. They have a sign that says they are closed on Sunday but today is Monday. They don't have a common sense to post a sign that they are closed today too. Very unprofessional. read more
