I adore the flavors of the food and sometimes the quality. There have been moments where it feels like there is a stingy chef putting just a bit of guacamole to a plate or the beef is super stringy and hard-chewy. Other times, the plate is good and made well. However, I feel like a lot of the recent times I've been here they have been lacking in that amazing feeling the other branch does. Most recently, I came here and lined up to get my order taken. Their single kiosk was barricaded off and one cashier was taking orders. But sometimes, the second lady can take your order too. It was a bit annoying watching the one cashier greet a customer in line, hear the phone ring, and then answer the phone and take their order in a lengthy way. Meanwhile, the guests infront are stuck just awkwardly standing in line. Another thing, a lot of orders were given out mistakenly or had errors. I saw 2 orders get switched up, and 1 person who did pick-up had to come back to correct it. I initally did take-out but ended up getting very hungry so I decided to dine-in instead. As I'm eating, a couple of ladies beside me were served the wrong plate! The male staff ended up giving a new plate about 5 minutes later of the correct order, and TOOK the plate the person was eating, saying it's ok they'll bring it to the back to throw it. I think that was a waste of food to throw it out, I mean, might as well let the people keep it since it was the restaurant's mistake. Overall I wish the organization, service, and food quality was improved here!
This is pretty much a fast food restaurant but there are some seats. Very busy Lu ch crowd. Pretty much everything is à la cart. Since it's during lent,I ordered shrimp tacos. Value wasn't that great. They do have margaritas with their wine based in machines. Rice and beans were OK, guacamole was good. Not sure if I will be back I think I'd prefer the one in Reseda.
New spot in the area and it's Las Fuentes second location. Over never been to the original in Reseda but for my first time here it was pretty good. It's located in the new shopping center and there is plenty of parking. They even have their own designated parking spots. The restaurant itself is clean inside, nice modern decor, and good amount of seating. You can order at the counter or order off a screen. If you at there, you'll place your order and then they will bring it out to you. They have a salsa bar with a good amount of options- the darker red salsa is the spicy one. I ordered the chile relleno burrito (wet) and the chile verde burrito. In my opinion, if you have the opportunity to make a burrito "wet" do it, just adds more flavor. The burritos were very filling and the price points are good. I will definitely be back to try some more items! FYI- they serve alcohol too
Las Fuentes is the spot for authentic and satisfying Mexican food! The ambiance is warm, inviting and colorful!! You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Indoor and outdoor seating. They have fantastic Huevos Rancheros, Carne Asada Plate, wet burritos and salsa.
This place serves authentic Mexican food. They have a large variety of food items. The decor was nice inside and there was a nice amount of seating inside as well as outside. The prices are on the huggers in but the portion size and flavors made it worth the money! The staff was friendly and patient with me and my indecision. Definitely worth a try if you are cravings good and authentic Mexican food.
I have been coming to Las Fuentes for 35 years and recently something has changed, and it is odd. I always order a chicken burrito with chicken, beans and rice only. They have started charging for the rice. I do t get the avocado. Avocado is a larger up charge, but I have it removed. I shouldn't be charged for adding rice to my burrito. I love this place, but am getting upset for paying $2 extra for rice in my burrito.
Ok I love all of their sister restaurants, and I've been wanting to try Las Fuentes other location but since Melanie's is getting remodeled, I decided to try their new location of Las Fuentes. It's very nice inside and modern. Very cute decor and spacious. The food is very good and reasonable! The salpicon tostada is great here too!! I am happy that they have the popular items here like the other restaurants. The service was great and it was good to sit down! They are very clean and make sure to remove the dirty plates. They have all types of beverages and alcohol as well. I will come back asap!! Easy parking too!
Las Fuentes is my go-to for Wet Carne Asada burrito. There's absolutely no better burrito in southern CA I.M.O. Every bite brings not only flavor but peace to your soul. I'm impressed that in this new location I can taste the exact same flavors as the OG Fuentes. This location looks a little more ordinary. No cool decor and tables and chairs. Two stars less for not allowing my dog sit inside in a summer day
Mexican food is comfort food and although I've missed my "California Mexican Cuisine," this came very close. The style of cooking was described to me as Mazatlan cuisine with a few influences from Monterey. Our order included chicken enchiladas and a wet burrito. Both came with Ranchera sauce instead of the roja sauce I was accustomed to. The generous helping of warm, melted cheese and ample portion of shredded chicken made the enchiladas a hit for me. My only recommendation would be to kick up the spice level in the sauce, but one could just as easily take advantage of the delicious salsas on the salsa bar (3 hot & 1 mild). Also on the salsa bar, -- cilantro, onions & lemon wedges. We purchased chips for a nominal fee of $2.50 and received a warm basketful. Beer and wine are available as are "wine margueritas" and mimosas. The service was timely and pleasant. I even noticed the busser checking on food satisfaction and quickly rounding up dishes when patrons were done. Something rarely seen in a small restaurant. Decor is colorful and upbeat! Plenty of reserved parking in front and to the right next to the Residence Inn. There is also a small, comfortable patio with umbrellas. On a side note, I noticed the gentleman next to me had the weekend special - menudo. It looked delicious and both he and his wife said it was "excellent!." Looking forward to my next visit.
Absolutely worst experience ever today. Ordered a chile relleno burrito i was extremely disappointed... No rice, no beans, leathery cheese, hot avocado.. avocado wth. The avocado was past its prime so I had to spit it out when I took it out it was black in some parts... The sauce for the wet burrito was super watery. The melted cheese ontop of the wet burrito was non existent... So if ur gonna order a chile relleno. Do urself a favor and do it somewhere else.
Wow!! I'm so happy that this place is near my gym (actually this will defeat the purpose of me working out now...LOL), hubby and I tried here for the first time after leaving the gym for early dinner and OMG...the service here is fantastic! Why? Because they greet their customers with a smile and not only that, when they deliver the food to your table, they wanted to make sure we got the correct order and not only that...as I was taking pictures for Yelp(Hi), one of the guys didn't know I was just taking pictures of the Holiday hours on the wall(the one on the door didn't come out clear, because of the sun), anyways he asked me if I was waiting for my order...how nice is that?!? Other places would have just ignored me and left me standing there. I just loved the fact he asked. The food...Holy Guacamoles!!!! We order a small just to try out and Wow! It was soooo flavorful not bland, not spicy it was just right!! Portion size was perfect and the chips that we ordered, also great portions! And I ordered the Plato De Milanesa, Mmmmmmmmm! Chef's Kiss!! I can't even talk...it was the perfect crispiness, and the meat was not chewy!! Great flavor and not bland. AND...they have a salsa bar! Love it!! It has chopped onions, cilantro, green and red salsa. Just perfection! So yep...looks like I may have to workout even harder in the gym. Great seating inside and out! My hubby ordered the De Carnitas burrito...he thought that was average though.
The food here is always really good, which is why I never hesitate to come back. This is their second and newest location, to my knowledge, and it's located on Mason Avenue and Lassen. It's in the parking lot with Starbucks on the corner in Chatsworth, California. I always end up getting the Salpicón Tostada with chicken and no pico de gallo. It comes with lettuce, chicken, cotija cheese, and sour cream on top, with beans spread underneath on crispy tortillas. I always tell myself I'm going to try something new each time I go here, but I end up getting the same thing because the tostada is that amazing. Great service and delicious food are what keep me coming back, and they never disappoint. The place is well decorated, and you can really see the Mexican ambiance and vibe they're going for with all the colors, plants on the walls, and paintings. The parking lot is shared with several other stores, including, I believe, Jack in the Box, Starbucks, and Togo's, so there's plenty of parking and it won't be an issue here unlike the in Reseda where the parking is very tight, limited, and the spaces are very close together. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food if you're in the Chatsworth, California area.

This restaurant is part of Melody's and their food is delicious. Huge menu with a big variety. Service impeccable and the cute trendy decor brightens the place. This location has been open two months and I am looking forward to trying other food items. Easy parking and indoor and outdoor seating available. read more

I've been going to Las Fuentes in Reseda for over 20 years, so I was genuinely excited when this location opened up on my side of town. Though they've only been open for less than two months and are still working out a few kinks, I had a really nice experience. I placed a to-go order, and my food was packed perfectly. I almost always get the taquitos, and they came incredibly close to matching the quality of the original location. One thing I really appreciated was the kiosks inside where you can place your order--such a great addition! They also have a small salsa bar, which is a nice touch if you want to grab some to go. All in all, it was a lovely visit, and I'm excited to see this place continue to grow! read more

We were in the mood for a decent Mexico restaurant. I remember going to the one in Reseda years ago. I loved it. As soon as we walked in I noticed it's not as big but the parking is a lot better. We ordered a chicken burrito, an enchilada plate and a hard shell taco. I wasn't a fan of the burrito the chicken had no flavor. The enchiladas were yummy. My favorite was the cheese one and the taco was really good. The food is good and we would definitely come back. The only downfall is the location isn't as big as the other one so you might have to wait a while for a table. read more

If you're a fan of OG Las Fuentes, this new location will not disappoint!! My husband and I couldn't wait for this new location to open that's closer to us on the west side of the Valley! He enjoys a wet burrito, and I usually do the carne asada plate or beef enchiladas. The food tastes EXACTLY the same! We were so pleased! Absolutely delicious! I've grown up going to the other location as well as Senior Sol and Sol y Luna. This food NEVER disappoints! Service was also warm and friendly, and the restaurant itself was very clean. Also, if you've gone to the OG location, you know what a nightmare parking can be. This one shares a WHOLE parking lot with other businesses! read more

It was truly delicious! I enjoyed the burrito bowl with pollo asado, while my wife chose the chile relleno. The service was wonderful, with some very friendly staff. New location in Chatsworth of long standing Las Fuentes restaurant in Reseda. It's a fast casual environment with self service kiosk which wasn't functioning at the time of my visit. Las Fuentes has been known to serve traditional Mexican food to Valley denizens. I asked the owner a long time ago where their family is from and he told me Mexico City. My usual order over the decades has been a machaca burrito at the Reseda location. This is my go-to comfort dish from them. I don't really eat at Las Fuentes anymore as much as I did in my late teens and wanted to check out the new location. I don't think the food is out of the ordinary and worth driving a long distance for. Las Fuentes has been serving the San Fernando Valley since the early 80s and probably the most well known Mexican restaurant to those that live in the Valley. The chilaquiles I had today were nothing out of the ordinary. The chips here get soggy and don't hold up to the sauce really well. It's a simple dish that I've made eat home and my preference is for thicker or stronger tortilla chips that stay crunchy rather than immediately become soggy. I wanted to add a sunny side up egg on top, but wasn't given the option perhaps because it is considered an add-on item rather than a breakfast entree like at other (all) breakfast Mexican restaurants. Las Fuentes remains a Valley institution that serves solid homestyle Mexican food. Nothing bad, but nothing extraordinary either. read more

Went to the reseda location years ago... it was great. This location does not disappoint! Food flavorful and fresh. Shredded beef soft/ tasty. Chile rellenos excellent. Red tomatoey sauce. Lots of cheese. Crispy taco super crisp -enjoyed it thoroughly. Husbands burrito huge. Beef plentiful. Service was good but they do get busy and patience a must. Sauce bar good. Finally, there's a great Mexican restaurant in the Chatsworth/Porter Ranch area! The place is small, but they deliver food quickly. We ordered the chicken enchiladas, which were juicy and delicious. The rice and beans were also tasty. The restaurant was busy, and I will definitely be visiting here again. read more

We had a little wait for the food, just like the original one it isn't a sit down restaurant like Sol y Luna, and isn't a fast food taco joint because the food is better. We have been waiting for this location to be opened for many months. Still a little amateur compared to the original location but the food is pretty much the same. The menu is a little simpler and the service is working in progress. The place is new, clean and the best of all the parking is much better than the original location. The area is nicer too. Mason street gets very busy between 4 to 6 pm. I would try to go there before or after. In brief being a branch of the original Las Fuentes, it's the most authentic and best Mexican restaurant in the valley if not anywhere! read more

The Food taste great but portions got smaller. I was bumbed when Senor Sol closed but with this new location, it's a little closer to me now (I'm at Porter Ranch). Place is small but I like the deco. The first week is crazy (a lot of people came) so they where stressed so the service was ok. But, now that they've got time, it's great. I would recommend this place . Burrito Carnitas and the chicken soup are my go to. read more

While Melody's is closed, I can get my hard shell taco fix from Las Fuentes! Excellent service. Fresh food. Clean restaurant. A little on the loud side but overall 10/10 would come back. read more
