I drove about two hours to try Las Margaritas, and it was definitely worth the trip. I ordered the torta de lomo, the aguachiles verdes, and the tostadas de ceviche de pescado, and everything was delicious. The torta de lomo was honestly my favorite out of everything I tried -- the flavor was amazing. The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the restaurant itself was a little bigger than I expected but still felt very homey. Their food reminded me a lot of San Juan de los Lagos, which makes sense since that's what their food is based on. I'm really glad I made the drive and I can't wait to go back and try more from their menu. read more

As I walked in I was greeted by a young lady and possibly her dad. They were sitting at the tables in the entrance. They assisted me right away. The girl took my order immediately and gave the price of the food I was going to order. She told me to sit anywhere. Menudo was about $15 and it was a decent size. Comes with tortillas or bolio. It was delicious. They sell drinks in cans or bottles. The food did not take long at all. She checked up on me while I was eating. She was very friendly. When I finished there was a lady with an apron sitting in the entrance table with the same man that I assume was the dad. They thanked me for eating there and said goodbye. We stumbled upon this spot after a... long night and we were in desperate need of some comfort food. We first looked on Google and saw that it had pretty good reviews so my friend headed over. I then checked it out on hers and saw that it also had good reviews, but seemed like a limited menu. It didn't worry me since we were all just looking for some soup but after my experience I can safely say that what they do offer is cooked to perfection and no part of the meal is lacking love. It's better to master 10 - 15 items then to have 40 options that are meh. The service was amazing. The staff was friendly, happy to ask questions and also very happy to make somewhat custom orders (for a burrito). They were also very attentive. The space in here was limited but it was still comfortable. I had the pozole, my husband had the menudo and we also shared their breakfast plate that came with beans, rice, sour cream, delicious salsa and an egg mixture that had onions, peppers and ham. All amazing. It's also came with this fresh bread that was so soft and delicious. We were very hungry so we were very happy that we ordered that. My gf also got some shrimp tacos that were delicious and also unique. They came with this salsa (a different one from what came with my plate but it was perfect for shrimp tacos). The burrito was made with potatoes, beans, Carne Asada, onions, peppers and cheese. The waitress was so happy to help my friend create this order. And it turned out amazing. We all had giant bottled cokes..and it brought us back to life. As we left the server overhead me say that I thought that my mom would lobe to try their food and stopoed and gave me a card for her. Lastly, you know the food is good when you don't take pics but just devour it. But it all look great as far as presentation went. 9/10 will try again. First, we found it by mistake. We asked if they were open, the said of course come in!! Service was immediate, they were slow so they waited on us hand & foot! We thought by the name Las Margaritas, it was a bar, so we almost walked past it. Ok. The FOOD!! was like OMG!! without a doubt the best Jalisco style ever!!! Great chicken & pork with their own house made sauces!! The tortillas had to be made in house because they were SO FRESH!! Their Molé Poblano & Chicken Molé were the BEST!! Ambiance was terrific. This place is a hole in the wall. My friend has lived in the area his whole life and passed by this place all the time. We decided to stop by to check it out and we were really timid about eating in but pulled the trigger anyways. We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was empty inside with the exception of the two owners eating on one of the tables. They were kinda surprised when we walked in and were willing to dine in. My friend asked if they had enchiladas which we soon realized after that they didn't but the lady was able to whip them up anyways. I ordered the torta and both dishes were really good. This is the strangest place. It looks like a sit-down restaurant and there is table service, but they don't have menus, anywhere. Not on the wall. Nothing. The waitress seemed shocked that we didn't know what we wanted. I ordered beef tacos (seemed safe enough) and got taquitos with a HAM SALAD. That's right. Ham salad. My husband and son both got burritos. So I guess those are safe to order. My husband said his was good and my son ate his. I picked at my ham. For two burritos and a ham salad it was quite expensive. $27 plus tax and tip. The waitress only spoke Spanish, and there are no menus to point to what you want, so if you aren't fluent In Spanish I don't recommend coming here. My husband's first language is Spanish but he and the waitress had a hard time communicating, so when I say fluent I meant really fluent. read more
