Inside of restaurant (more seating to the right, not pictured) and ordering counter on the left along the wall.

I ordered the beef milanesa torta and it was just some perfectly. Plenty of meat, avocado and the chipotle sauce combined perfectly with the melted cheese and refried beans. Service was pretty fast considering it was lunch time. The restaurant was packed, which is always a good sign. Nice setting and not loud.

Definitely the best tortas I've had, and I'm told by my Mexican spouse that they're very authentic as well. The tortas shine in quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in how they're prepared. The bread is super soft and you can really taste every ingredient in the torta. We had the Michoacana and the Norteña and they were both excellent. The milanese in the Norteña stood out more than any other milanese-based torta I've tried, and the carnitas in the Michoacana was tender and delicious. Both tortas also had all these subtle Mexican flavors and spices throughout, every bite was delightful. We also tried their tamarind agua fresca and it was great, very refreshing. Looking forward to coming back soon and working through more of their menu!

Decent tortas... came here based on the reviews- left me wanting a little more. Fries are good but almost seven dollars. Space is clean and inviting. Sandwich was cohesive but nothing cohesive, wish they had a salsa bar. Rice pudding was solid.

Cool little tortas spot. I usually don't eat them but it was recommended and I wasn't disappointed. Got the nortena (steak) and Michoacana (pork loin). Just to be clear, in Michoacán we use pork shoulder or butt. Are carinatas are like no other. Loin was good considering it wasn't those parts. The food was all fresh. Great taste and filling. I ate half of eat sandwich and was good. We call these holes in the wall. Regular spot to sit and eat. No issues with service.

Their grand opening last week. We were the first ones in.

NOOO. No, no, no. I don't know WHAT has happened to this place, but after three crappy sandwiches, this third experience was enough. Las Tortas tastes like SH*T. Dude, like who wants soggy sandwiches? Their bread used to be so perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside, even when you save your second half for later! For the first time, the entire torta tasted like shit. No flavor inside, and soggy ass bread surrounding the sandwich. Like soooooooggy. Yes, I called and asked if they did refunds, of course they don't unless they "made a mistake." (Is this NOT a mistake?) But I let them know that this is actually the third time that they've served a unsatisfying sandwich (I let her know the previous times were flavorless, too, with UNsoggy bread). I don't know. Sucks I spent almost $13 for this good sized Torta... ...but it'll unfortunately be my last. I just had to come here and b*tch about my experience. Haha. And warn y'all that I don't stand by my previous review and they no longer deserve my 5 star review.

    La Cubana. Must get.

This hole in the wall place is LEGIT. Atmosphere - 4/5 - I love hole in the wall places, and this one definitely fits the category. Very small location, and it was busy with locals. Always a good sign. Staff - 5/5 - Very friendly, but knows very little English (which was no problem at all). I was willing to pay for extra sauces, but the staff just handed me a few. The spicy sauce is very tasty (has a little kick). Food - 4.5/5 - Ordered the following: Cubana - 5/5 - This thing was a beast. It had Chorizo, Milanesa, Ham,  Hot Dog, Smoked Pork Chop & Eggs. Yeah....Monster sized portion for under $10. Must get Jalisco - 4.5/5 - I really enjoyed this one as well, but after having the Cubana, it wasn't the same. Overall, for the size, price, and taste? You cannot go wrong with this spot.

From the customer service and environment to the food and whiskey selection, I'm always impressed at how high quality of a long standing institution this is in Denver. On my most recent trip, a bar fight broke out, but our waiter James handled this with ease... even though he got punched in the face. We tipped him well. Food is always fantastic. Get the prime rib alongside a draft beer. We also ordered Tacos and Loaded Potato Skins as appetizers. I'd love to sit at the bar next time to dig into their whiskey selection!

I have been coming here since I was a kid and back then the place was packed with orange T-shirts and full of smoke. Fans would wield Bloody Mary's and cheer on the Broncos with Craig Morton at the helm. Now it is more refined and smoke free, but still a great place to enjoy sports. The classic Eggs Benedict has always been my favorite and what I get just about every time. You can't go wrong! In my younger days I would toss back a couple bloody Mary's but times change and now I mostly get Corvus Cold Brew, both drinks are solid choices. If you haven't been here you need to visit. But this was Monday evening and we were seated immediately. Our server said that we had 5 minutes left for Happy Hours--thank you!!--so ordered Caliente Margaritas and appetizers. The nachos were delicious--and messy! The Margaritas were as well. I had a nonalcoholic Athletic Brewing Company Cerveza Atletica (Mexican style copper). There were several other NA cocktails and beers available as well. We were all very pleased with our entrees. They were all luscious. Two of us are vegetarian and there were plenty of choices. I had Crispy Avocado Tacos, which came with black beans, and a side of Street Corn--both great choices. My friend had quesadillas and Potato Flautas , which I tasted and almost wish I had ordered as well. Our carnivore gentleman partners were also very happy, with one of them choosing a sampler, "Perdida's 'Best Of' Plate." Perdida is a great new addition to the Wash Park area.

We had arrived just in time for Happy Hour- Monday-Friday, 3-5pm . Perdida has a worthwhile Happy Hour as several main menu appetizers as well as cocktails are discounted. I selected the classic marg to sip on. It was a good, standard margarita for $6. We also had to try the mini chile rellenos. These were tasty and the dipping sauce paired well with the chilies and cheese. Perdida was good. I think I'll revisit to try some main dishes. The fajitas smelled amazing!

That should have given me a clue as to the heat temperature! I couldn't finish my meal as it was too spicy for me. I know I don't tolerate heat very well, so just offering this as a warning to others that might be in the same boat. Luckily they offered sopapillas and honey for dessert. The sweetness of the honey helped to soothe the sting. This location is in a strip mall and they have done a very nice job of decorating it. It looks clean and well maintained. You will need to order at the counter and then they will bring your meal out to your table. It seems to make sense that you would offer meals for all people, even ones like me that cannot manage the spice. I have to give them a lower rating only due to the fact that I know I won't be able to go back since they don't have a non-spicy option for their meals.
