Made appt a month in advance for regular maintenance ! appointment was at 9am and was told I could drop off early and be able to pick up in evening . dropped off at 7am rv person called and told them to do oil and filter service and Trans service . After no call all day I finally got some one on phone at 4:50 pm only to be told nothing was done and they usually have it for two to three days . Told them I was told same day and never told anything else . All they did was give me excuses that they were busy or someone was out sick ! never once apologized or offered to do anything for me ! told them was picking it up and asked to please lock and leave keys inside since I had another set and all my stuff was inside because this is my home . When I got there found both doors unlocked with keys sitting on seat! Not at all acceptable ! Never before had problem with other velocity centers ! don't use Vegas center ! read more

I got a Tire Pressure Monitor Recall from Freightliner and brought my 2020 Dutchstar here for them to fix it. I met with John the head of RV division. He called me the same day and said it was fixed. When I drove it home the pressure sensors were still not working. I called John and he said he cannot fix because the sensors were faulty and that corporate freightliner was working on a more permanent fix with new sensors. But it was months out until he would get them. So we continued to use the rig in-spite that the recall wasn't fixed. I called John every month and left messages for him. I also emailed him on a recurring basis. He never would return a call or email. Finally 10 months later and a dozen emails later John returns the call and says we can bring it in so they can look at it. We bring the rig in and John keeps it for 9 days without a call. When we drive down there to see what's up he says we are now past warranty and it's going to cost. I said but it was a recall and you told me to wait for new sensors. You know my sensors were bad. He basically said it's not his problem. I should have known and had it fixed back then. Anyway if you deal with this John be very careful as he is a misleading and deceptive individual. Make sure you document everything. He had us drive the rig for almost a year with a bad recall just so he could get us past our warranty so he could charge us for the sensors. Anyway I have a call into corporate freightliner regarding this issue. I will keep you posted on what they say. read more

WOW! we have been driving around this country for 9 months in our RV and trying Frieghtliner shops the entire way. Needed new swaybar bushes and control arm to correct a very sloppy steering issue. The place was pretty busy so we excused the wait time on the truck. 1:30-2pm rolls around and we go to check on the truck, all they have accomplished is an ABS sensor. 4:30pm rolls around and we go to check again and they tell us all they have done is replace the ABS sensor. Finally around 7pm we go to check again and they inform us that the mechanic working on our truck left at 3:30pm and no one informed us. These guys are a joke. I took my truck in twice because my instrument cluster Was jumping all over the place, along with the voltage meter and both times I was told they couldn't duplicate the problem so therefore there was nothing they could do. I ended up taking my truck to a shop in Texas and right away the found that I had a loose battery cable. I also had freightliner LV replace my alternator but even then I had to tell them to even check it out. I will never take my truck to these guys again, and if a rep tries to say they've never had a customer there by my name. Look under first priority transportation. They asked for authorization to do the repairs, I gave them authorization. The next day they said that I didn't hit the reply all button on the email. So i verbally told them to do the repairs. Four days later I get an email asking authorization to do the repairs. We waited all week, they charged us to diagnose and today I've picked up a truck that was never fixed. They told me they had to overnight some fuel lines and they had never ordered them. Every freightliner house carries fuel lines. read more

I visited the Las Vegas Freighterlinner facility today and was disapointed in their customer Service. I am handicaped and there was a line I had to stand in to purchase some antifreeze .There was no chairs or benches for sitting; I approached the cashier to see if I could bypass the line and pay for my purchase directly; she said I needed to wait in line to see a parts clerk and obtain an order then come back and see her to pay for it. We asked them for an oil change. Told us in the morning we can do it in the afternoon. Afternoon they told us - we can't do oil change - no time for this. Maybe in 36 hours we will be able to do it. Can't say enough good things about John and the RV service we received. Out brake lights were not working early into a 6 week trip and despite being backed up John told us to bring it in. Took them just 1 1/2 hours to diagnose the problem and get us back on the road to Utah. Place is clean with a great waiting area. Not easy to get to off the 15 but definitely worth it. read more

If I could give negative stars I would.. stay far away from this place and Michelle in service department. they are absolutely horrible and ripping customers off. They never update u on truck unless u email or call there multiple times they kept saying parts on order no time for repairs to be finished or for parts to arrive. For an exhaust manifold the truck has been in shop for almost a month now when I called after 3 weeks I spoke to service manager and he said parts coming from Cummins and they don't give u any info on when they will arrive. I said give me part numbers and I will find them myself 3 weeks so far and no parts he said he would Email them to me when we got off phone. Then 30 mins later I got email from them saying the parts just arrived lol oh how convenient that they just arrived 30 mins after we get off phone and I never got the email for part numbers to search for them myself. And they have sent over 4 more new estimates since repairing truck off over 500 bucks each time totaling over 2,000 more dollars for stuff they are saying is broken and they are finding that needs replaced and on top of it they fix everything and truck won't run and won't regen so they ask for 390 more for diagnostics testing and just added another 795 to another estimate for more parts and labor. If u want to get ripped off then go to this place and deal with Michelle Rubidoux in service and they will screw u over. I have good and bad things to say I had my frontend aligned great job good price. So when I received a code on my dash check transmission and the bus was stuck in 2 or 3 gear shifter was reading D+ I went back. The RV service man John nice guy saw it said he never has seen it before. Well they could not find any thing wrong on there Allison Doc or there computer nether one showed any active or inactive codes drove it 3 times for about 9 miles each found it was a little low on fluid when I got the bill he said $850 I almost had a stroke I said under warranty he said it is not but than looked again oh it is he gave me a discount now its only $44 for fluid and $462 for labor so 1 week and $505 dollars later. I got my rig back with nothing fixed no explanation on what went wrong I was told no code found I am under the impression the computer shows all current and all past codes untiled cleared. read more

We brought our Freightliner truck here a week ago today and they still haven't even looked at the truck and have no idea when they will be able to. Since this is the only Freightliner in Las Vegas we are stuck and losing $2000 a day in lost revenue. I've had the same repair done twice before and each time I was charged $75 for the minor weld job. However THIS facility charged me $294.00 for the exact same MINOR job. I expressed my dissatisfaction and received a call from George, the manager soon after. He tried to justify this robbery by offering a 30 day warranty on the weld! So I walked in on 12/24/19 at around 3:20 pm. They closed early that Day for Christmas Eve. I walked into the parts overnight window and the parts department employee at the counter said it was too late that he was not going to take care of me I then replied I thought you guys closed at 3:30 it's only 3:20 PM he said it back I'm not gonna do it I'm not going to take care of you. The gentleman next to him which his name was Ray did help me out last minute. Ray in my book provided excellent customer service and will definitely will be buying all my parts thru him at Freightliner. The other guys name I did not catch on purpose since I have nothing nice to say about him I chose not to ask for his name. Ask for Ray when buying parts he will take care of you. read more

It pains me to write negative reviews and therefore I do so very infrequently. Unfortunately in this situation, I feel a responsibility to detail the situation as it is the classic stereotype of a mechanic shop taking a customer for a ride :-( My situation was simple, I had an RV in storage in the Vegas area for over a year. I wanted to do due diligence before driving it home to San Diego. I asked around and Las Vegas Freightliner came very highly recommended for oversized Fords (mine is an E-350). I called a week ahead of time to line things up and was told that an email would be sent to the proper person but when I arrived the service coordinator told me 'that is just what they say, they never actually send anything.' Ouch. Well, that is their internal problem, they were able to do an oil change and tune up within a couple of days and that is what mattered. I told them the situation and said that in addition to the oil change I wanted all fluids checked, tires filled (it's a dually and you need the tool to get to the back tires), and that I'd like to know if there was any other work they recommended doing before I hit the road. My paperwork reflected exactly that. A couple days later they said I was good to go. Their service notes said there was some oil pan leaking and I should think about having the engine resealed eventually but that all and all it was good for the trip. I was thrilled to be driving my RV again and set out feeling good. First stop was the gas station. I decided to check the tires because they looked a little wonky. Sure enough, average of 8lbs short of pressure with uneven pressure between the tires by up to 6 lbs! They didn't do the tires! I should've known then that something was fishy but I was too naive and still blinded by the reputation and apparent professionalism of the place. Long story short, 60 miles out I started to experience problems and so stopped at a roadside gas and shop. A nice mechanic popped the hood to look things over. I told him I had just had it tuned up. Within a couple of minutes he looked at me and said, 'Ma'am, I hate to tell you this but whoever looked under your hood didn't do much more than that'. He proceeded to conclusively show me that while the oil looked new and clean, the brake fluid and radiator levels had clearly not been checked (the units were undisturbed) and both were very low. After filling them up, completing the trip, and now driving the RV for an addition 3 weeks without any loss in those fluids, it is clear that LV Freightliner was negligent of my basic request. I have now spent over 3 weeks communicating with LV Freightliner to refund the money charged for the mechanics time 'looking things over'. I agreed to pay for the oil change since I am not contesting it but really, paying for time when the requested work wasn't performed is ridiculous. They are uncooperative and difficult insisting that the items I am saying didn't get performed would only take up a fraction of the time charged. Then why didn't they do it?!? I am a very reasonable person who believes in paying her dues. I draw the line when being exploited by an organization being paid for a specialized service. I will do my darndest not to ever take my vehicle to a shop where I don't deal directly with the mechanics. It is too easy for them to put one by me. :-( What a bummer! read more

We are looking for a reliable business to do future oil changes on our 2012 Dynamax Dynaquest 340, after having it done at Las Vegas Freightliner. Our saga started last Friday. After numerous calls to try to get an appointment, we finally just drove it out and got in line. We were told the price, which seemed a little high, but since it is on a M2 Freightliner chassis & cab, thought it would be best done there. Monday afternoon was spent making many calls to John in service, trying both the RV line & his direct cell, to see when it might be ready for pickup. We received no call back, and started calling again on Tuesday. After several calls to both the above numbers, we finally tried the truck line, which John promptly answered. He said it was done, but there was a "slight" problem. He said our right front tire had blown out after the vehicle had been parked in the storage yard after the oil change. Of course, this was no fault of theirs, he continued, as the tires were "old". He was very defensive, and continued to claim it was no fault of theirs even though you could plainly see where the tire had been run up against something substantial. We asked if the tire could be replaced by them, and were told that if they did it there would be a surcharge, and it was better if we did it ourselves. He did give us a $50 deduction on the bill. We weren't asking for a new tire, just to admit their responsibility in this matter. We spent the rest of the day between getting a truck service out (to Freightliner!), getting it where it could be moved, and getting new tires. God bless Purcell Tires! Now, not too sure how a tire could blow out sitting on the line, with what looks like a cut area and no signs of an interior blow out on the sidewall. However, in the pictures below, you can see where it has been run against something and the damage. So, if anyone knows a reliable oil change place for large trucks please let us know. read more

This is the second time I have had to have this shop repair my freightliner. Both times it has been a nightmare!!!! They don't care how long it takes and won't tell you if they even have someone working on it. My repair this time is over $17,000.00 and it has been 8 days since I turned my truck over to them. Really bad move on my part. Has to have a road test before I can get my truck today. So far I have been waiting for 4 hours to get the road test done. Stay away!!!! read more

Omg. We don't know what we would have without Las Vegas Freightliner. On Friday early afternoon we had a hydraulic leak on our Motorhome 6 miles north of Primm and our roadside service was not much help at the time. My hubby made some phone calls and was referred to Freightliner. He called and talked to John. So very helpful. Told us we couldn't get any service until Monday morning but we could be towed and stay at their facility until then. We got there after hours but Karen was still there and got us an appointment first thing in Monday morning. Saturday morning Billy stopped by checked out our rig, told us that he would try to fit us in between the work they had and shortage of manpower. Nick came by and checked out the leak. Determined it was the connection and all of them did everything they could to get us underway on Saturday. Unfortunately we had cancelled and changed our camping reservations and they were no longer available. They told us we could stay another night no problem. We had an issue with our RV on the way to Vegas. Called Freightliner, they said to bring it here. After reading the reviews, we were skeptical about it being worked on, but didn't have much of a choice if we didn't want to take a chance and get towed back home. Looked up directions, pretty straightforward, thank God no Spaghetti Bowl! The grounds were very organized as to where to park with large areas to turn around, if needed. We got there quite early and were placed first in line! John Eval was both friendly and helpful. It would take a few hours to diagnose the issue. Ended up needing a part ordered, which took only a day, brought it back for installation of new part, a couple of hours later, we picked it up, and after another 5 days in Vegas, we made it home with no problem! Good note: there was no damage or anything missing. We had a good experience here and would recommend them to fellow RVers. read more

SWIFT service adviser, Isias Contreras, at Freightliner Las Vegas is the rudest, most impatient and dismissive service advisor I have ever dealt with. I had my brand new Cascadia towed to their shop two days ago. Yesterday I called for an update and Isias told me in a very irritated manner that the truck is still in troubleshooting and they will know more tommorow." So I called back the next day, today, and spoke to Isias again and he got upset at me for calling so early. They had just opened and the truck was still in troubleshooting. I asked when would be a good time to call back for an update and he told me "how about I call you back." I said that based on my experience that wouldn't work for me and that I had to stay on top of it. He rudely said "Well, have a nice day then, sir" and hung up. This person has no customer service ability whatsoever. His lack of emapthy, lack of patience, poor phone manner and rude tone of voice make him unfit for the position. read more

In between the service manager and the service desk, I dont know which one has their head stuck up their ass the farthest ! I was in the Las Vegas shop over a transmission and ac problem. I sat in the waiting room from the time they opened for the day till 4:30pm without being informed about what was found wrong with the issues addressed upon comming in that morning. I noticed that the service counter employees had time enough to take a smoke break, but no time to explain to me what was going on. At 4:30 pm I finally walked up to the service counter and was told that my truck was locked up in the body shop awaiting a windshield. At the same time I was informed that I needed to get a hotel room for my dog and I. When asked if I could get a change of clothes and dog food, I was told that the service dept didnt have the keys to the body shop. After getting upset with the service counter employee I walked out to the body shop, and found my rig parked outside behind another truck. I was able to get my truck out of the yard and go to the pilot. There was no vacancies anywhere in Las Vegas due to it being St Patricks weekend. You guys there at the Las Vegas dealership really need to foccous on our needs and concerns as a a customer instead of being so damn uninformitive and lazy !!!!!!! For now on I will do buisness with Walbash right down the street from the Freightliner. Walbash trailer is a full mechanical shop that only charges $60.00 an hour instead of $110.00 an hour ! read more

We recently thought we might need brake work on our RV. We usually look for a company name we think would be associated with quality work. Since we were staying in Las Vegas, NV & there was a Freightliner representative close by, we thought that would be the place to go. Big mistake!! While trying to check in, we waited while they took phone call after phone call, then would come back to us, forgetting what we already told them. Then, after being there about 5 hours, they sent a person to tell us what was going on. Unfortunately, this young man had no idea what he was talking about, he was just relaying information. On an RV with 37,000 miles, we were told all our pads & drums were bad & needed replacement. They said it would take about 8 hours of labor, plus parts, and cost $3300, but we would have to bring it back the next day. We had also asked them to check our batteries under load. They said they could check the two 12 V but there was no way to check the four 6V batteries (wrong). We left there feeling uncomfortable. When we returned to our campground, we spoke to a couple people who know more about this stuff than we & they said none of the above sounded right. We then made a couple phone calls to other places that would do the work & were told there was no way it should take that long to do the work, or be that expensive. We then took it to Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERA) and, after removing the six tires, drums and pads, they asked us to inspect the parts. We were told the back tires had never been removed & there was no way the Freightliner rep could really tell if the drums & pads needed replacing: they were in fact in fine condition. On the front, the drums were fine, but two of the pads each had a small crack & they suggested replacing those. They also tested our 6 batteries. It took them 4 hours in labor & the whole bill was $830. We don't mind paying the bill for Fair, Honest work, but we truly believe that the Freightliner rep did not do a true inspection: that either the technicians are incompetent or the company attempted to defraud us. When asked about seeing the parts, they said it was all put back together, so they couldn't show us the problems. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Check Engine light for a minor sensor while on RV while on vacation. Recovered code and called Las Vegas Freightliner at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. Talked with John Eval in RV service. Attempted to get an appointment. They are first come only. No problem, we will be there in 2 hours. No, the only technician will be busy for the next two days, so no RV service is available under any circumstances regardless of when we arrive. We just need a quick check out. Tough. What are my options? Drive 3 hours to LA. AYFKM? If you are a trucks only facility, fine. Don't advertise RV service if you only occasionally provide RV service when you feel like it. Need serious training in customer service. Disgraceful. read more
