I've visited twice so far and it's been just fantastic! I started out with a Yelp deal, going in for a full set. Honorine was my first technician and she is very thoughtful and thorough with what to expect and offered me guidance on the length and style to choose based on the shape of my eyes. My eyes turned out so beautifully. I returned three weeks later for my touch-up and it was another wonderful experience with Chika. She is extremely gentle and efficient. Some of the technicians have put lashes on that were too heavy or thick and would twist and dip into my field of vision. Also, some of the other technicians aren't gentle when applying lashes and I end up feeling a sharp prick/poke and my eyes water like crazy when that happens. THEY ARE AWESOME!! I have to admit they are a bit on the pricy side, but it really worth the money! Sadly I have little-to-non sparse lashes and usually eyelash extensions don't stay on my lashes for any longer than 2 weeks. They tend to fall off easily and after they fall off I have even less lashes..:( It's been almost 3 weeks since I got my treatment done at LashSpot and most of the extensions are still there!!! When I got my treatment done the technician said she chose the length that suit my lashes, so maybe that's why? Overall the quality of the service was very pleasant! I never got irritated eyes or anything afterwards even though I have very sensitive skin and eyes. The best part is that I feel comfortable going outside without any makeup on! I'm usually super self conscious and MUST wear makeup (esp on eyes) but the lashes make my eyes look open and big so I feel more comfortable being barefaced. It helped me a lot when I was super busy at work.. didn't have to hassle about putting makeup every morning when I needed the extra 5 min of sleep!!! I had the worst and best experience here today. I had been wearing lash extensions for 2yrs and after taking a break from them, wanted them back on. I decided to go LashSpot SF for a full set based on a recommendation and because the girl I use to go to moved out of state. I"m used to a different brand of eyelashes from another salon and I did not get the same effect as I wanted. To say I was unhappy was an understatement. I just wanted to pay and leave but my tech, Honoriane could tell I wasn't happy. After confirming she had some time left in her schedule she spent another 30-40 minutes trying to understand why I was unhappy and how could she make it better. She was very gracious and really wanted me to leave happy. She ended up removing some lashes and added some smaller ones to get my desired look. During our time together, I felt at ease and never felt guilty for not liking the lashes in the first place or taking up so much time. After this experience, I decided to become a member based on the time I spent with Honoriane and her willingness to make the changes so I felt better about my lashes. The membership to the salon is a great value ($65 monthly fee comes with one free touch up and 15% off any other service). Since I plan on coming back it only made sense to invest in it. read more

Just got my first full set of lash extensions with Hana! I've been so excited to get them done and Hana was amazing. She spent the time to ask me what exactly I'm looking for. She showed me the different lengths and styles I could get and I decided to have the lashes a little longer on the outside of the eyes to have them open up my eyes a bit more. The whole process was really comfortable and easy. My eyes did feel some stinging a little bit but it wasn't too bad. Overall a really great experience and am really happy with my lashes! Pro tip: I didn't know that I should take my contacts out so I didn't have my contact case with me. Bring it with you! They do provide you with a case here but I'm kind of paranoid about using cases that other people have used before! read more

I went to lash spot one week ago and 40% of my lashes are now gone. This was my first time there and while I could hear other first time guests getting talked though the process and asked questions, my technician was very short with me with little detail about what I wanted. I had extensions done elsewhere that were grown out. Rather than let me know she would fix them, she tried to figure out where I went and I felt scrutinized. I work in the beauty industry and this is not the way to sell your service. If she had let me know she'd help fix my situation rather than judge me, I would be more inclined to come back. Leaving lash spot her work was good so I'll give two stars, but now all the lashes in the right outer corner of my eye are gone and patchy after one week. With the work from the previous place I went to, this would have taken 4 weeks. Out of respect to my technician, I won't name names. I just want to hold this business accountable for not providing the service and experience I hoped for. read more

Perfect Perfect Perfect! I have been going here for over a year but just got around to writing a review. Because I am a guy it was hard to find a location that has used extensions on men. I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try because for the price point was just right. I called to ask a few questions and the person at the front desk was just as helpful and nice over the phone then she was in person. The studio is very clean and has the perfect relaxing atmosphere to let you lay back and close your eyes while you are in your session. Before beginning I had a good conversation about what it was that i wanted (length, amount, pattern etc) Let me say that I was happier then a kid on Christmas morning when i was done! I had an idea of what I wanted and she understoodand was able to implement it. I booked an appointment through their website and the only technician that fit my schedule was Lucy. So I chose her and the appointment was at 1:30pm. Customer service is great there, the business is located in the new peoples building I believe on the second floor. I got here early and was greeted by a friendly male staff. We started right away and Lucy asked me what I wanted. I said voluminous and dramatic (kind of like I have falsies on). She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The whole process took an hour and thirty min. When I finally got to see my lashes it was a little disappointing because it was a little too natural for me. Maybe I should have shown her a picture of what I wanted. The total was $145 because they had a promotion if you mention Lombard & fifth you get 25% off. A spot was never held for me and then they told me June 8th was the next time but even before that the person on the phone was trying to persuade me to go someplace else--I have no idea how you train your staff to answer calls but this was very unprofessional. First the person at the desk told me they had an 11am spot available and so I was going to take that.. But then she changed her tune and said that due to the race tomorrow it might be better if I go to another lash place--I couldn't believe what I was hearing and then next she said that they are all booked up until June 8th! She wasn't helpful at all and sounded like she had no idea about anything. I loved my experience at LashSpot SF. Parking was easy and this shop is located upstairs in a building that has the cutest tea space and Japanese lolita store connected. LashSpot SF was super clean, modern, and comfortable. A good vibe all around. Chae did an amazing job with my lashes. She worked quickly and made my lashes look full and glamorous, which is what I was going for. I was super comfortable on the table while she was working on me. This review is for Honorine. First time getting lash extensions and I went with the Russian sable fullset. Pricey but I got a gift city deal. Honorine was lovely. She explained the whole process to me and recommended 9mm length lashes that were longer in the middle and fans out. I would recommend doing research on the length before hand. She did an amazing job. My lashes looked natural and the Russian sable lashes are so light! I would've gotten a longer length though (11mm) to make the lashes stand out more. Highly recommend Honorine!! Next time I'm thinking of throwing volume in as well. read more

I wanted to love extensions but unfortunately they're not for me. I got them done for the first time here 9 days ago and am writing because after reading other experiences, I feel that maybe my lashes were applied incorrectly. For one, they did pull and hurt a bit from glue at the edge of my eyes. I ended up using a q tip at home to gently massage the area so that the glue would unstick. The first couple days I thought they looked okay, but they were heavy and uncomfortable. Now I'm reading that if you can feel them, then you probably have ones that are too heavy/long for your own natural lashes to hold. I wish my aesthetician would've recommended something particular for my eyes. Instead she asked what I wanted and I said it was my first time and asked if she had pictures of the different kinds she offered. She only had a picture of one type on another client and said it was the same one she was wearing. So I opted for those, a D lash. Once again, this was my first time so I really didn't know what to expect. I've been combing them two to three times a day and I haven't been wearing liner to preserve their wear. I also don't use makeup remover around the area, just regular facial cleanser and micellar water. Every day or so I've seen a couple fall out, which I presume is very normal. But yesterday I was washing my eyes I noticed many fell out all at once when I patted my eyes with a towel - about 10-12 from my left eye and about 8 from my right. I checked closely at the extensions and saw that each extension was still glued to my natural lash with the follicle attached. I will say it felt a little better because now I can blink without any discomfort. I thought maybe this was just normal, that after a few days, many would start to come out. However the same thing happened tonight and I notice bald spots on my lids. Had I known lash extensions would do this, I would've never gotten them done. Once again I really don't know if this is caused by poor application, or poor quality of the extensions but I do know that I did not have bald spots prior. I still have about half of the extensions left but I am afraid to clean or comb them. I would say that do not come here as a first timer. You should have experience and enjoy lashes so you know exactly what length works for you and how they should feel after. I myself probably won't do them again anytime soon and I will not be coming here if I decide to do them again. read more

I was pretty nervous about going outside my regular guy to get my lashes done. I looked up this place (via yelp) and decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed. I have to say the lashes look amazing (6days later) and my technician was so sweet. She completely understand my needs to go outside my regular guy, and she even supposed the fact that I keep someone on back up. She put me right at easy and I left there feeling incredible!! I don't make a point to go back to the same person each time, I go with whoever is convenient for the time I can make the appointment, but unfortunately find the service itself is not consistent.
