Friday night, mid August. Outside patio. Despite temperature in high 80's there was a pleasnat breeze and we were quite comfortable. Surprisingly the patio never filled up. Much quieter than inside. Very pleasant service and as per other reviews the food was excellent. I shared the iceberg lettuce salad and had blacked scallops. All first class presentation and done perfectly. However, be prepared. It will be hard to escape for less than $150 a couple plus $10 valet (mandatory) plus a tip. Add a few drinks and coffee/dessert and you are talking $200. My niece got engaged at sunrise so we wanted to plan a nice breakfast for the family after so that we could celebrate. We picked this place and made a reservation for 15. They were ready for us when we arrived. Our server quickly began getting drinks and everything was great. Our food arrived quick and hot...basic breakfast (nothing to write home about)...but you go here for the vibe...on the water...pretty...We were shocked when some manager (I assume) came over to tell us that we were too loud! First of all...there were 15 of us...Second- the place was EMPTY! Who the heck were we bothering?! But really we were ok just having some nice conversation ... we aren't exactly a "wild" bunch! I would consider this to be two restaurants in one. We had a reservation and they sat us immediately, we chose outside because the view was priceless. There are not too many restaurants right on the sand, this was one of them. The menu was the same inside and out, but the vibe was different. Outside it felt coastal and romantic where inside looked like a capitol grille. I struggle to understand why you would want that vibe in Highland but, OK. The food was good, not great, just good. I had a burger with Gruyère and I was delighted (you don't see that as an option). My friends had fish tacos and the chicken panini. My friend said the panini was terrible, shame. But the burger and the fish tacos were perfection. The service was good, the waiter was subtle and attentive. I give this place five stars for the view and ambiance and four for the food. This place used to be a local secret but has exploded in popularity. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait at least an hour. But it's worth the wait. We enjoyed the seafood tower. Fresh doesn't even begin to describe the tower. Delicious. Sweet. Mouth watering. Fantastic. We also enjoyed the lobster bisque. It was probably one of the best in the area. Latitudes is absolutely gorgeous! Fantastic ocean views from all areas of the restaurant including indoors. Staff is very attentive and friendly. I've eaten here many times and my favorite dish is the Ahi Tuna tacos. The Mahi sandwich is also excellent! We asked to share this sandwich and they brought it out on 2 separate plates with separate French fries! If you want to splurge, go for the Seafood tower! I am going to be honest, the view is the only reason to go to this restaurant. The location is beautiful and it is right on the beach. They have valet parking as well as pool and beach access. The restaurant looks like a typical waterside Florida restaurant. We went for brunch arriving at 1030am. I wanted king crab legs and was told they don't serve them until 11 am. I was very clear I would have an omlette then, and at 11 am, order the crab legs. I advised the waiter of my being a Celiac. I could have the omlette with no hasbrowns. My omlette was served with a side of fruit. The omlette on the menu said it was 3 eggs. It was not. I ate almost the whole thing, and I never eat 3 egg omlettes. The middle of the omlette, where they attempted to close it, was soggy and falling apart. It honestly looked worse than you would expect from a restaurant. I could have made a better ham and cheese omlette myself. So, at 11 a.m., I asked for the crab legs. Our waiter was distant and never checked back on us. He never asked if I wanted another mimosa. He kept saying ok every time I asked to order the crab legs. After 30 to 40 minutes, I was like, how many times do I have to ask for this before you bring it out. He says we'll let me bring you the menu and disappear again! He finally comes back with the menu and points at it and says, "Did you want the crab cake? I looked at him like he was crazy. I ordered Alaskan King Crab legs about 5 times since I got there, and he already knew I was a Celiac and couldn't eat a crab cake. So, I say this. So, he is holding the menu and says we'll, I just wanted to be clear... these crab legs are market price... Are you sure you want that? basically implying I couldn't afford to order it. So, I am obviously upset, but he finally beings them to the table, and they are absolutely horrible! The crab megs are presented facing down. When I flipped them over, they were very brown and spongy like they had been soaking in some type of salt water brine. Now, where I am from, I eat King Crab, snow crab, Dungeness crab all the time, and I pay MARKET PRICE. Never has anyone asked if I could afford it, and I'm guessing he did this because of the hue of my skintone. Secondly, I have never had brown, yellowish crab legs. I don't know if their band saw they cut them with was dirty or rusty, but this was disgusting and unacceptable. This waiters BEHAVIOR WAS DISGUSTING AND UNACCEPTABLE. I will note that every other table was getting great service. The other waiters were nice to them, friendly, and accommodating. Our waiter was running around with a bad attitude and a chip on his shoulder like he didn't want to serve us because of my race and ethnicity. If you choose to visit this place, beware of all of this. Take in the views, but don't give them your hard earned money because despite my horrible experience with this waiter, the food wasn't even decent or sub-par. read more

On my way out I stopped by the bar and I asked for some water for my water bottle, the guy gave me the look, I poured the water with the worst attitude ever, Jose could just be nicer. Wow. The ambiance, service, and food was above and beyond here. This fine spot doesn't look like a lot when you arrive at the hotel, but after you step inside, it's a wonderful experience. Staff is friendly, service was great, and the food was divine. I ate the stuffed shrimp (not pictured) and it was really good. I have to admit that I have had better but the portions are reasonable for the serving size and being right on the beach. The drinks were good and they also serve rolls and butter for the table. It was like a cruise ship experience but without having to board a boat. I would love to come back! read more

We went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. We went for lunch and sat in the outside patio. Cool and comfortable. Can't beat that. We ordered iced teas and iced coffees. On the ordering was: ocean reef which is white albacore tuna salad, roasted chicken salad, farmer's greens, ripe melon, fresh-picked berries, and crispy herb-seasoned flatbreads. I particularly ordered asian shrimp and noodle -grilled jumbo shrimp, rice noodles, toasted peanuts, miso-ginger vinaigrette, baby greens, edamame, mango and hand-picked herbs. They also bring out some bread in a basket as well It is a beautiful venue as it is on the ocean and it was a gorgeous day (note that you must pay $10 valet no matter what). There is a hotel (Delray Sands) attached to it. All was going well until...as I was talking and eating a small spider decided to bolt out of my salad (kind of freaked us all out). I quickly cornered it under a small plate. I called Gabriella (our waitress) over who decided to try and insult me by saying "You know we are outside." Excuse me so what? She did not offer to have the manager come over - she just offered to be rude. So a few minutes later, I got up and surreptitiously went inside. I went in and asked for the manager and out walked Clara. I explained the story exactly as I did above. She totally agreed that Gabriella didn't handle it right. Next thing, Gabriella was bringing the cake out for our friend without my being there so we waved her down. She waited a few more minutes before she brought out the chocolate cake. Yes, when the bill came, the dish was taken off. Gabriella didn't say anything to us about it. We then wanted a picture so we stopped Katy (another server) and she obliged and took some nice photos. Flatbread pizza looked and tasted like it came from the frozen food section of a supermarket and the Calamari was soggy and rubbery. I love Latitudes! I love to sit outside but the inside of the restaurant is also beautiful. You can see the ocean from almost anywhere in the restaurant. We always order the Ahi Tuna Tartare and it is probably the best I've ever had. We have never been disappointed with any dish we have ordered. I came to Latitudes for lunch with my wife and Aunt on a Thursday afternoon. FYI, it was valet only, not self park. We were seated right along the window along the beach and it was relatively dead inside which was kind of nice. I enjoyed the restaurant itself as it was clean, nice and cool, and seemed nice. We ordered the calamari as an app, the chicken pita thing, and the blackened mahi sandwich. All of it was really, really good. The blackened mahi was the catch of the day and was great. read more

This was our third time at the hotel. We love its location, service and the restaurant, latitudes is great.

Three and a half. Not great, not horrible. It is a beautiful spot on the ocean and the decor with floating glass bubbles and low lighting is beautiful. We had the private glassed in room which was very nice for our party of 16 but I imagine a spot outside listening to the ocean would be wonderful as well. It's primarily a seafood place, so you would imagine that would be the best thing to eat. Seafood tower looked beautiful, but was eh, crab and lobster were over cooked, crab legs were over cooked and very fishy tasting, shrimp and oysters were good. I apologize I didn't get photos of the meals, we are just enjoying the moment :-) We started with 3 orders of calamari for the table, guests enjoyed it but some thought it was too spicy, would be great to offer a non spicy version, hummus platter with three kinds of hummus, pita and fresh veggies was very good the cheese and regular breads were warm and fresh. Guests ordered several Bronzino with risotto which was delicious, salmon with mashed very well done but our guests were happy with it well done, mahi tacos were nice and crispy, Caesar with shrimp, shrimp were over done, crab stuffed shrimp, tasty and cooked nicely, grouper nicely done and delicious. All of the accompanied vegetables that came with the dishes were almost raw carrots and broccoli were too hard, not steamed through. We had many drinks, white wine was nicely chilled, margaritas, beer, cosmos etc kicked a punch, definitely not watered down! We bought a mini cake for our Grandmothers 80th birthday and we were ordering various other desserts, apéritif's, spiked coffees, espressos, lattes etc. we did not like that although we were spending approx $1500 at their restaurant the waiter told us that it was 'house rules' to charge $3 a slice for the mini cake we brought for grandma. I understand charging a small fee to bring your own cake if that is all you are serving for dessert but that wasn't the case, we ordered other desserts, drinks and coffees. Not a great policy or a way to endear guests, just a thought. All in all we had a very nice evening to celebrate grandma and Latitudes is a beautiful spot. read more
