New Review / Came here for my tenth anniversary dinner (7/1/2026) and absolutely loved it. Everything about the evening was perfect. Food, service, ambiance. Fantastic. My wife had the shirt rib and I went with the lobster risotto. A very special treat was when the server brought us a key lime pie as an anniversary gift

Wow. What an experience! The service was excellent- I believe our waiter's name was Alex. The beets and goat cheese were better than expected. We loved everything we ate. I just regret not saving room for key lime pie. It was extremely hot outside, so I was happy I brought my handheld fan. They allowed other tables to relocate inside, but we didn't even ask. We were too busy enjoying the drinks, food and view. It's absolutely worth it!

We came to this restaurant for our wedding anniversary and it was lovely. It's hard to find where to catch the boat and we called to find out. Since it was later at night it was dark and there was no one to ask. The signage was not very clear to us. The boat ride was pleasant and quick. We sat outside and although it was hot it was cooler than during the day. The food was delicious and good portions overall. The drinks were very tasty and refreshing. The inside of the restaurant had a fishy smell which was overwhelming when I went inside to use the bathroom but it was nice and cool for a refresher. It's a must try and I bet it's gorgeous in the winter during the sunset hour.

This is a second review. I was here three years ago, and it was amazing enough that I came back. A lot of times a resturaunt won't live up to the standards of the first time you went, but for this place, it did. I was able to get the 7:45 reservation. For this time of the year and the time of the sunset, this is the top time to get. We went to board the little princess at 7:45, and took the 7 minute water taxi there. Once we got there, we sat right next to the water with the best possible view and of the sunset. The weather was a little hazy compared to last time, but it was still great. Our server was great and we started with a few drinks. She got the Key Lime martini and I had a beer. We did not receive bread this time, and honestly, we have been eating less than three years ago so I don't miss the extra carbs. We shared the burrata app, and it was wonderful. But the star of the show... I had been dreaming of the Shrimp carbonara for three years, and it didn't disappoint! She got the lobster risotto, and she loved it. We finished the meal with a slice of the espresso cheesecake, and the Peanutbutter mousse cake. The espresso cheesecake was small, but the size was perfect for the rich taste. The Peanutbutter mousse cake was light and not overly sweet. We had went to little Pearl the night before, so I knew this would be the second dinner in two nights that was around $300 after tip. This was worth every dollar. Little Pearl was average. They tried to hard to be too fancy and for the amount of food you get, the bottoms line is it's just not worth it. But here, I'll come back every-time I can because nothing beats the view, the ambiance, and the experience of eating basically on the beach, under the light of the torches as you watch the sunset with the person you love.

Beautiful oceanfront restaurant! We went for our first night with a large group and sat inside. It's romantic and so fun to get to the restaurant via a boat. It took a bit to get our drinks, but my spicy Paloma was delicious. The Key West pinks was a great tasty appetizer, and the seared grouper was pretty good too though interesting with the chorizo. The ceasar salad was on the smaller side but a nice accompaniment to the meal. Overall an excellent first fancier dinner in Key West!

A beautiful restaurant with great food and a wonderful ocean front view and sunset if the timing is right. Your reservation time is the time you need to brakes the ferry. Ferry runs at 15 and 45 of the hour. We had beets, salad, salmon, Wagyu skirt steak, salt caramel crème brulee, espresso cheesecake, espresso martini, and cappuccino. All were great. One of the server Oxana was great.

Visit Latitudes for the experience of sunset key - arrive to opal resorts dock at reservation time (make reservations FAR in advance - you must cancel with 48 hours notice so don't book after your first night in key west!). Food was great, but the experience of being in the private beach is just amazing and tranquil. Best view in key west!

I have been coming to the Keys for decades and NEVER knew this place existed. Not sure why but accidentally found it for a special birthday dinner! what a place to eat, and experience the sunset in a completely different and spectacular way! The place is pristine and beautiful! The staff was better than Jonny on the spot! It was relaxing and cool as only Key West can be but also, exclusive and special!! now the food in itself was delicious and decadent! The drinks set the mood and pace... but the food was spectacular! We sat outside and watched the sun go down as we drank, ate and truly enjoyed the moment! It's a beautiful way to celebrate or just do something different in the Keys! I highly recommend! We each had something different...started with salads and then...center cut steak, lobster Risotto, waygu skirt steak and braised short ribs! We have limited pictures because I forgot to get them...BEFORE we jumped in! Highly recommend this experience! 5/5

It was a wonderful way to spend our 1st Anniversary dinner. Lovely boat ride over to the waterfront restaurant. The walk in was lush with beautiful art. The staff went right to seating us with a beautiful view of the water! (I may have cried a little) I really have the most caring husband ever! Our waiter was very helpful in explaining the drink and menu selections. I food was astounding in flavor and scent. My eyes drank it in before my mouth even touched the fork! So many 'I love yous" were shared and many pics taken. If you are ever able to do this for a meal, definitely do it!!!! See you Soon!

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture... I ordered the Key West Pink Shrimp Carbonara and my husband got the Caribbean Lobster Risotto and it was DELICIOUS!!! The service was incredible. I would definitely recommend it 10/10.

Stone Crab Claws and a drink. Best way to start.

You must come here when you visit Key West. Please make reservations and try to check the sunset times as the view is spectacular. The service was above and beyond. Victor made sure all of needs were take care of. His recommendation for the Stone crab was on-point. The entire staff made sure to make our 23 rd Anniversary dinner amazing and they did not rush us at all. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful evening.

Came here to celebrate a birthday brunch for a girlfriend of mine. We were a table of seven. The experience is fun, you take the ferry out and the view is fabulous. The food wasn't really worth it though and was underwhelming. We had some espresso martinis and with the baileys added they were great. I also tried the key lime martini and didn't enjoy it much, I've had better around town. Also the color was very interesting, usually they're like cream colored this one was what the girls called "Saint Patrick's day" green. The menu is small but I ended up ordering the Latitudes Caesar as my meal with blacked grouper on top. The salad with the fish came out to $42. Two out of the seven meals came out wrong. And overall they just didn't impress us in flavor. The service was good though we had Iva and she was attentive. Would I come back? Probably not.

Latitudes Sunset Key Cottages Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Latitudes Sunset Key Cottages

    What is the dress code?

We went to dinner on NYE in polo shirts and khakis, but jeans or shorts would have been fine, too.

    When does the Ferry run?

    Usually every half hour

    Is there a kid's menu?

Not that we saw, however there are lots of options on the breakfast and lunch menus that may work.

Does the restaurant allow wine corkage and if so how much per bottle?

I'm sure they do but I thought the wine pricing was reasonable.

How do you find a dinner reservation? All I ever see available on open table is lunch.

You can call the restaurant directly and ask to be contacted in case there is a cancellation.

We're going in May and after reading lots of reviews I'm thinking maybe just sunset cocktails and desserts here. Does anyone know if they allow that if you have dinner reservations?

I would think so, as they have a really nice bar. I'd suggest calling the restaurant directly as you have to have a reservation to get the water shuttle over to there.

What time reservations to see 815 sunset?

Right now the sun is setting around 6:30/7:00. The boat pick you up at your reservation time so if you want to be seated already I'd suggest a reservation 30min prior to sunset.

Is there a dress code? Or is it Key West casual, all day? We have hotel reservations in April for 10 days. How soon can or should be make Latitude reservations? Thanks!

There's def a dress code - I'd go with beach dressy! I went last year and wore a dress. Reservations usually have to be made about 6 months in advance. If you see something open, take it! We ate at 8pm and were even lucky to get that time. Good luck…

    Is it air conditioned?

We had a table outta dinner it was lovely.

Is your restaurant dog friendly outside?

    Only service animals.

What's the parking situation where we catch the boat? Where? Pay lot? Is it safe?

You can get your parking validated for up to 4 hours. For more details look into the tips section.…

Hi all, could not get a dinner reservation waited too long. Do they have a nice bar and can we have dinner at the bar or apps at the very least?

Yes, though it's a small bar. But most of the people sitting there are waiting for dinner. And yes, you can eat at the bar. Plus you still get a great sunset view! Enjoy!

    Bar is it good?

The bar is nice, but unless you have reservations at the restaurant or are staying on the property , you can't even get on the ferry to go over to the island. We were waiting with another couple to take the ferry over, and they wanted to get there…

Where do you get the boat to go to latitudes restaurant?

Two questions about the boat ride over: How big is the 'boat'? Ferry, water taxi? My friend gets seasick on certain boats. How long is the ride over to the island? Choppy, smooth ride? Any help is appreciated!

The boat isn't very big but not a small boat either (Ferry) It has seating inside with AC and also outside. I'm guessing 30-40 people. The ride took us about 10 minutes and wasn't choppy at all. We visited in November.

When making reservations should we request to be seated "on the sand" or how do we get the best sunset view seating?

The patio overlooks the water and has a perfect view of the sunset. We were fortunate enough to get the perfect table, right on the hedges at the edge of the patio. If outside seating isn't your thing or if the weather doesn't permit, they do have…

Any ideas on how to actually speak to someone to make a reservation?

I have called that number for over a week and just get a recording that says the message box is full and today I called the cottages and she did transfer me, but received the same message :/…
