Me and a buddy met up here for happy hour, which is legit only an hour...but we got our fill in! Sat at the bar because all the tables were booked up (it was Valentines Day) but our server was cool. The Spiced Pear Smash was delicious, as was the Passiflora Negroni; I had two of those! For food, we had the glazed pork ribs, fries, wings, and margherita pizza; the pizza was legit tasty, and the ribs were nice and tender, while the wings were just so so, and a bit on the small side. Laurel Hardware is hidden behind the completely unseeming facade of a literal hardware store. Inside is a juxtaposition: beautiful design with dim lighting. My friend has been ranting and raving about grabbing drinks at this spot. We sat in their outside patio. It was decorated with trees and small-bulb lighting. Our server was extremely nice. We asked if we could just order drinks, but she shared their policy about needing to order at least one food item if you choose table seating. I've been here a couple of times just because I love the ambiance so much. They offer a wide variety of menu items, but I favor their day/lunch menus more. They used to offer shrimp tacos which I thought were one of the best things they made, but it has since been taken off. The last time I went, I ordered their duck fried rice, 2 pizzas, and a pasta (ravioli). These entrees were well portioned and perfect for a party of four, and we also tacked on some apps but I forgot to take pics. I really prefer their pizza and pastas to their other dinner menu items, the pizza dough and pasta are perfect consistency and just make you want to keep going back for more. I also really like that booking reservations are easily and conveniently done through the Resy app so I never feel like I have to wait in a queue. We also sampled some of their happy hour bites! The lollipop sprouts, which appear to be some kind of kale / brussel sprout hybrid ($14). It was tasty! The fries ($7) were super fresh and perfectly cooked. We also got the ribs ($14) which came with three perfectly tender ribs. All were delicious. The only complaints about the food are that the pizza crust was slightly burnt and that the pappardelle was overcooked. I've dined here for happy hour a few times and for normal dinner service. Strong $12 happy hour margs and perfect pizza dough. I enjoyed their wings when I ate meat. Tonight we had the lavender margs and split the margherita pizza. 10/10 of course. When we got the bill we got charged for Evian water. We asked the server why we got charged and she said she asked us when we got seated "flat or sparkling". We said flat because we assumed we were going to receive complimentary tap water. We finally made it to Laurel Hardware. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is really well laid out. The outdoor looks amazing too. You will need reservations for sure if you don't want to wait for a long time. We ordered several dishes, the kale salad, the squash pizza, the squash tortellini and a burger with fries. The food was really delicious and our server was very attentive and super friendly. i would have given this place five stars but each food item pretty much came out individually to the point where my daughter was finished eating before the rest of us even got our meal. For most that is not a big deal to me, that is a bit of a sore spot. We are looking to go back and this time we will wait to sit outside. read more

We were greeted by multiple hosts who told us there would be a slight wait (even with reservations) as our table was being cleaned up, so they advised us that we can wait at the bar which we did. We sat right next to servers station and the manager berated all the staff about why the table fans were not working because she replaced them last week. Well it's been as hot as hell and if the table fans had to run all week naturally she would know the batteries need to be replaced. Yet ..... there were no batteries. I remember when this place used to be cool. Well those days are over. Literally made a reservation with specific instructions to be seated outside at 5pm. Got there at 4:59 and the manager (or so he claimed to be) Nate told us to wait until 5pm to be seated. That was the biggest joke as he said his hostess didn't start working until 5 even though she was standing next to him. We waited 10 minutes and then at 5:09 returned to speak to him only to be told this time the the owner Phil doesn't hire enough wait staff and that they already seated too many people in that section and we would have to wait longer until the server could catch up. If that wasn't bad enough we were told we couldn't have happy hour outside. The place used to attract a cool crowd, no longer. It looked like a crowd from Olive Garden. We walked out. Coincidentally, we know Phil from Laurel Supply ( his newest venture) and he will be getting an earful the next time we see him. So sad how this place has deteriorated.
