This place is gorgeous! The restaurant has a beautiful design both indoor and outdoor. So much seating and a great happy hour selection. Favorite thing we ordered were the Lollipop sprouts. Never underestimate vegetables to be the yummiest part of the meal :) Frozen lavender cocktail was refreshing, pizza was perfect, ribs were melt-in-your-mouth, and shrimp tacos made a great appetizer. Service was attentive and so friendly!

My friend and I were celebrating Pride this weekend and wanted to stop somewhere for drinks. The first bar we walked into was pretty busy, so we decided to head over to Laurel Hardware--and it ended up being the best decision. The space has an amazing vibe: trendy without feeling pretentious, with a beautiful patio that's perfect for people-watching and catching up with friends. The ambiance is gorgeous, very clean, and the outdoor area is beautifully lit, making it feel like the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. A huge shoutout to Jeff and Josh behind the bar. They were attentive, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the drink menu and the food offerings. They made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down, and the conversation was so enjoyable that we ended up staying longer than we planned. We didn't order food this time, but every dish that passed by our table looked phenomenal. Based on what we saw, we'll definitely be coming back to try the food. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service, great drinks, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. Can't wait to return!

Right when you walk in it's a very moody spot. There's a bar right there if you're waiting for your party to arrive - because they won't seat you until everyone is there. I got to eat outside and it was so beautiful! We were right under a gorgeous lit tree. I ordered a mocktail that I think had gang in the name? It was so tasty! Highly recommend. Then my friend and I split the short rib pappardelle and the crispy rice salad. The salad was so fresh and had amazing crunch. The pasta...omg. It was delicious, and I could have eaten another bowl. For dessert we got the bread pudding, and I'm not usually a bread pudding fan because of the texture, however this one was perfect! Crisp on the outside and warm and soft inside. The only thing I wish were different is that it's so loud outside. We were a party of 5 and I felt like I was screaming across the table to talk. Probably better if you have a smaller party though! Overall, I'm excited to return and try a cocktail!

I recently saw one of my old social media posts and photos pop up as a "memory from today." It was from when I went to Laurel Hardware on Saturday evening, March 23rd, 2019. It's been quite a long time, but I still remember the place having a great atmosphere, delicious food, and very friendly service. I usually don't drink alcohol, but I also remember posting the caption, "Tonight's forecast: 99% chance of wine & cocktail," on my social media at the time. I remember all the food was really good, but especially the Truffle Fries -- they were absolutely delicious.

Came a weekday night. Place was busy, but not full. It was hard to get a seat at the bar area. We had to flag the bartender down. The patio area was really nice with the lighted trees. Was told the food was pricy but good. Would return just to sit at the patio area. Really nice decor.

Absolutely adore this place. Not only is the ambience incredible but the food is too. The short rib pappardelle is what I come back for. 10 Star dish!!!!

The drink I ordered was literally so good. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of it, but it had mezcal along with some spice to it and some lemon. Gimme 14 of em. Hamachi crudo and spicy salmon tartare - I would've ordered another round of these if in another world I could never get full. So flavorful and just what I was looking for taste wise. My friend ordered the marinated skirt steak and said it melted in his mouth and the sauce was phenomenal. My other friend ordered the burger and said it was juicy and filling. To add, I ordered the rigatoni bolognese and the pasta itself was cooked to perfection. Only request was a bit more seasoning on the red sauce! We were all super pleased with our dinner experience. (Side note I would've gotten a picture of the burger if my friend didn't demolish it in 2 minutes)

I tried multiple dishes at Laurel Hardware, and some of my favorites were the Shrimp Scampi, Duck Fried Rice, Spicy Vodka Rigatoni, and Little Gem Caesar. The quality of the food is amazing, but I just wish the portions were a little larger considering the prices for them. Also, the outdoor seating at night is beautiful. Great lighting and such a nice and cool ambiance. Service was also very good, and the staff was super kind and helpful. Street parking can be difficult, but if you park on Crescent Heights Blvd., there's usually free street parking.

Beautiful ambience with incredibly thoughtful menu and delicious cocktails. I enjoyed the lavender margarita frozen and for the table we ordered two types of salad. We both enjoyed The mushroom ravioli as a starter dish then two large plates for our entrées. Great service, quick, PACKED but no wait since we had a reservation. Definitely worth it !

I can't say enough good things about this place!!! A solid spot for a gno or a date night. Beautiful patio and very romantic ambiance. The front is kinda like a speakeasy but iykyk kinda vibe lol the appetizers were just ok imo. We had chicken wings and tuna tartar on crispy rice. The best appetizer was definitely the pork ribs! The main dishes were so delicious tho! Loved the lamb pappardelle, and the duck fried rice the most. Cocktails were also delicious there. Overall, we had such an amazing time here and we'll def plan another gno here soon!!!!

I had a great dinner at Laurel Hardware. It's definitely a very young and lively crowd, which you can feel from the moment you enter. And they have a beautiful outdoor patio that is very spacious and well-lit. The whole restaurant is dimly lit which adds a nice flare to the experience. I loved all the food. I think it's best to order tapas style and share with the table. We started with their crispy shrimp which came with shishito peppers and a spicy aioli. Loved how crisp those shrimp were. The chicken wings were surprisingly good, also extra crispy and loaded with Parmesan cheese. The marinated skirt steak with chimichurri sauce was perfectly cooked and juicy throughout. My only feedback was that I wanted more, I could've eaten 2 plates of that steak by myself! The crispy rice salad came with chicken and an Asian-style vinaigrette, it was so refreshing! The mushroom and squash pizzas were both great - crispy, thin crust pizzas with plenty of cheese and fresh toppings. Burger was super juicy and the fries were nice and crisp. Even the chicken shawarma plate was delicious - chicken was super juicy and I really enjoyed their fresh tzatziki sauce. My biggest feedback was the service. It was just so busy that it was hard to grab our waitress and there were a few times we had to remind her about our drinks or flag her down to order more. I know that they were super busy, so I'm sure this has much to do with it. But once we did get our waitresses' attention, she was super helpful and responsive. I'm excited to return to Laurel Hardware, it's such a great and trendy restaurant in West Hollywood!

Went here for a walk in dinner! They said the patio was fully booked when we came in but there were definitely tables for 2 that were empty the whole 90 minutes we were there. Pizza was delicious, and so were the garlic wings! The Caesar salad was very very bitter so that was a no. Crème brûlée was also a weird texture as if it was whipped too much and it was topped with grapes ?? Cute inside and warm ambiance overall though.

Second time here & it didn't disappoint. Came for dinner on 4/26 a Sunday evening around 6:30pm. The occasion was for a girlfriend birthday & a group of 7. Everyone loved the space, the drinks, the aesthetic, ESPECIALLY THE FOOD. We ordered a variety of drinks but the espresso martini & the Gangster (with tequila) was top tier. Some food dishes we ordered consisted of the chicken wings 10/10, spicy rigatoni pasta 10000/10 that's my go to. My birthday girl got the butternut squash pasta, skirt steak was delicious, but rather small, comes with no side dish so I recommend get a side lol. The chicken shwarma was also a flavorful dish I didn't get to pick a piece from my friends plate it was devoured already , but the prosciutto pizza!!!! & the margarita pizza were MUST HAVES. We all were extremely pleased with our food. Our server was Brandon & had a table checkin from Nate, both were such a vibe & matched my friend groups energy. We all felt so welcome & the experience for my girlies visiting LA (some for the first time) this was enough to make them book another LA trip :-) thank you so much for all your hospitality!!! We will be back!!

Valet parking available for lunch hours?

    nope

    How much is valet parking?

    $15

    Are kids welcome?

Yes, just not at the bar. However, it's a pretty adult crowd so if your kids are sensitive to adult conversations then it's something to keep in mind. Typically the families with kids we see are there on the weekends during the day up until the… Read more

Are you open for reservations only? Or is walk-in allowed?

Walk-ins will be tough as it's a popular venue. I'd recommend checking OpenTable and grabbing a time slot... otherwise if you're lucky it'll be bar seating, if unlucky you'll be turned away.

Do they have a corkage fee?

My recollection is $25. Which is a lot. I'm not sure but I seem to recall that.

Do you need a reservation to drink at the bar?

No you don't! But there could potentially not be any seats in which case you'll be standing!

Is there a dress code here?

No. It's nice enough to dress up but if you want to come casual that'll work too

Is their brunch menu the same as dinner? I can't find the lunch/ brunch menu anywhere

Their lunch menu is on open table. No brunch menu or brunch offerings yet.

Does anyone know if they require proof of vaccination if it's still outdoor dining?

Yes they do. I found out last night and you have to show your card.

    Do they have valet parking?

Yeah, its on the pricier side tho. Its 11 dollars

Is the bar still open for lounging? Or is a table required?

I didn't see anyone at the bar but I went months ago, certainly they have bar seating by now. GL

Are there stairs? Is the whole place wheelchair accessible?

There are stairs leading to the outside area in the back, but seating inside is wheelchair accessible.

Is there anything vegan or can be made vegan on the menu?

Yes. They have a spaghetti dish that's actually quite tasty.

I even called about an hour after I got home because I started getting a scratchy throat and realized I didn't specifically ask if there were strawberries in the raspberry sorbet (I'm allergic and that was completely my mistake for not double checking before I chowed down) but the host that answered was super nice, I could hear in the background her double checking with a server, who then even double checked with the kitchen to make sure they were giving me the correct answer which I really really appreciate. We ordered a bunch of cocktails along with a few glasses of red wine and champagne. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. We tried the Blackberry, Cucumber, Snow Pea, Tomato, and Daikon. The Tomato cocktail was my favorite by far -- savory, balanced, and not overly sweet. Blackberry was a close second, really refreshing and easy to drink. My first glass of champagne was unfortunately flat and pretty gross but to their credit they replaced it immediately once I mentioned it. Still, for an upscale restaurant, that was a little annoying to begin with. For food, we got the asparagus, burger, fries, abalone, and the bluefin tuna belly deviled eggs. The abalone was easily the standout dish of the night. Everything else ranged from just okay to forgettable. The burger sucked. Overall, I'd come back for drinks and would give the food another shot since the menu changes pretty frequently but this particular meal didn't totally hit for me.

Started with drinks and, honestly, can't remember what everyone ordered. I got a Desert Quench which has a tequila base and flavors of bergamot, lime, raspberry and mango. The bone marrow was like most bone marrow, you now what you're going to get, while the meatballs were underwhelming. They didn't look appealing in terms of color and flavor was lacking. Entrees, we each tried something different. The steak frites was cooked to order but really didn't set itself apart from other frites. The trout was cooked well, and seasoned nicely, but the purple cauliflower puree, for me, didn't come together in terms of presentation for the dish. The pistachio pesto pasta was very flavorful, mixing in the burrata on top and then the little pops of spice from the chili flakes.. Just a nice bite. Finally was the double wagyu burger with caramelized onions, American cheese and a sauce emulsified with bacon. Very tasty, and those caramelized onions just added another level to each bite. Overall, nice spot in WeHo serving up some tasty cocktails and decent food. Definitely get the pistachio pesto and double wagyu burger, but you can skip the bone marrow, meatballs, frites and trout.

At this point it's 3:01PM. He charges me at 3:01PM keep in mind. He puts out the little card reader machine and as he does that, I hand him a $5 bill for tip. I wanted to tip him $5 since I knew my happy hour drink was $7. I tap my card and move on. I sit and I'm drinking my drink and got a notification that I got charged $15.50. As I'm looking at this charge I'm trying to make sense as to how my $7 house drink turned into $15.50. I try to justify it by saying it was tax or maybe he forgot to insert happy hour price since it WAS only one minute after it started. Whatever I don't get upset. At least 3:45PM - I call Mitchell over again and I say "can I please get the happy hour fries (advertised as $9 during HH) as well as another round of my drink (advertised as $7 during HH) that counts as happy hour right?". Mitchell says "Yes". He charges me again - I tap and I tip $18% which said was about $3.50ish. I look at my charges. I was charged $27. At this point I call my partner and I'm asking him to please help me make sense of this. I send him pictures of the menu etc. He says to ask for a receipt. I ask for my receipt for my first and second transaction and Mitchell only hands me the second one. At this point I'm super upset. I look at my receipt. He has charged me full price for my drink but he did give me happy hour price for my fries. I finally work up the courage to call him over and confront him about this. He admits that he made me pay full price for BOTH transactions. He goes over to his coworker asking to help give me a refund and I can read his body language. You could tell that he was a bit embarrassed because he got caught. He hands me a receipt showing that I'm being refunded for the second transaction of $27 and something cents. He said he was going to go check on my first transaction of $15.50 (which should have been no more than $10 with tax since house drinks are $7 during happy hour). At this point I'm making conversation with the guy next to me. Mitchell comes back hands me another receipt (I'm thinking it's the refund for my first happy hour transaction) I thank him, he apologizes and says he forgot to ring me up for happy hour. I just shrug it off but in the back of my head I'm thinking. How can you give me happy hour priced food but ring me up a second time with regular priced drink? Whatever. I continue on with my conversation with the person next to me and leave. As I get to my car I look at both "refund" receipts and notice he gave me two of the same receipts. Acting as if the second one he gave me was for the first transaction I made. Maybe it's my fault for not double checking the second refund receipt. Regardless - these charges were most definitely done on purpose with the intent of overcharging me not once but both times. I will never come here again. Please if you choose to come be aware. This is why I was never asked if I wanted a copy of my receipt. I truly hate writing reviews like these because of an interaction with a staff member. I'm sure the owner wouldn't agree with what happened to me. Pictures is my original and refunded receipt for proof of the second transaction. Again - I never got refunded for the first transaction of $15.50 like I was told.
