I went here in May 2014 on my family's vacation to the cape (we're from Burlington, just north of Boston.) This restaurant was really good and my pizza was perfect. Weird as it is, I'm a collector of exit signs and fire alarms. They let me go and take photos of all their vintage and modern equipment, including the ones blocked off to the public. Shows how friendly the staff is, this is a great restaurant. However, it lost a star because of limited parking and long wait time. Really hard for me to write a poor review, but this was really well earned. We arrived at 7pm on a rather light evening. We had a table of four adults and, despite being more than half empty, we were sat alongside a table of 6 screaming children, whose volume was exceeded by one of two mom's who presided over this raucous event. The table behind us got aggravated within 5 minutes and asked to be reseated. When we were unable to sustain a conversation, we too asked to be reseated, but were told to "hang in there because they are about to leave." Ok, the restaurant handled the situation poorly, but they aren't the parents...but let's talk about the food. The mussels were tough and inedible. The Delmonico steaks were tough and lacking in flavor and the risotto was filled with oil. On a positive note, the waitress was attentive and the portions were large, though most was left behind as it was really lacking in quality. The menu is also lacking in diversity and imagination. Pulled pork can be had in several varieties (include. Pizza and shepherds pie), you can have chicken "tenders" picata, Marsala or parmigiana...you get the drift. I suspect this is a good choice for one with small kids who want to get family style pizza or chicken tenders ... Not really the place for a quiet dinner with adults. read more

We went on a quiet Tuesday night. Just a few other families dining in. We shared the cheese ravioli and meat lasagna. It was good. I had a glass of house chianti, which I enjoyed. I can see why this place has been around for a long time. Next time we'll try the pizza, buy today I was pizza'd out from Zia and Lost Dog Pub pizza in the past couple days. Food was okay, but didn't come out hot. Service was atrocious. We finally had to ask for our waiter to take our order. The first person that arrived took our drink order but said he wasn't our server and someone else would be by to take our food order. That second person never arrived. We had a function over the weekend, using the side room by the bar. From the beginning, everyone was so accommodating. We were able to have our guests use the bar & we provided large platters of veggies, salad, & ordered pizzas as the night went on. The atmosphere was relaxed & cozy. Our server was outstanding. Laurino's has great pizza. I have never had anything else there. I've had their take out pizza a few times and I keep going back. I really like the pepperoni. I've never had a pepperoni pizza with so much pepperoni on it, it is all layered between cheese and sauce. They make Neapolitan pizza (squares) and I think a tourist coming from Italy would be happy to have a few slices. They have some outdoor seating with a firepit, TVs inside the bar if you want to watch a game and there is a restaurant with seating. read more

I ordered the Chicken parm dinner and the sauce was burnt and acidic. the waitress was really trying her best to make it right but the food was terrible. They offered for us to try something else and I ordered the steak tips. I ordered them med-rare and they came out well done and tough. The steak sauce was tasty but the meat was not quality. My daughter ordered a meat sauce with meatballs. The meatballs were dry and not cooked in the sauce ( which had no meat in it despite ordering it that way. Again that sauce was burnt and not edible. We went in here with a party of 8 people, and were sat at two different tables next to each other, 5 and 3, which was pretty strange. When I asked if we could pull out two tables together, the hostess said that "no, she can't allow that on a Friday night." Not great for conversation at dinner. There was a pretty long wait for the food; I'm estimating about 40 minutes from when we ordered. The waitress was nice, and did come apologize for the wait (lots of take-out pizzas in the ovens) but it would have been a lot more comfortable had we gotten to sit at the same table. Love the jungle gym for my kids. Though the bouncy castle wasnt set up because they said it needed repairs. We enjoyed the bonfire after dinner. There were patrons eating their pizza and having drinks there. We got seated outside on the patio next to jungle gym, chilly night, but had jackets. The food was OK. My husband and I went here over the summer since we were staying in the area and heard great things about it, we thought we would try it. The restaurant was packed so we thought it would be better for us to make an order to go but that was even more of a hassle. It took us 20mins for us to actually place an order at the bar (that's where you have to place a to go order) and then we waited another 30 mins for our food to come out. We had to keep asking the bar person to check to see if it was up yet. We both got a pasta dish and neither of them were complicated! The most aggrivating thing was that there was no where to sit but at the bar. (not my scene) When we did finally take our food home we weren't blown away with the quality or taste. It was average. Although there was nothing glaringly awful about Laurino's, I have no intention of returning. I ordered the Combo Parmesan - both chicken and eggplant Parmesan over linguini - and the portion was too big for me. I wasn't expecting two full-size chicken breast pieces AND two large eggplant slices. It was good, but not great. My mom's meat and cheese lasagna was very dry and my brother was surprised when his Italian sausage sub had breakfast sausage patties instead of sausage links. The women's bathroom was a complete oddity. On the wall hung a framed picture of Jason Alexander in nothing but tighty-whities straddling a sofa. It was a little unsettling seeing George Costanza from Seinfeld to seemingly be begging to be painted like one of your French girls in the bathroom of an Italian restaurant. The stall doors were so short, I felt indecent even sitting on the toilet! I could see clear over the top of the door when standing and I'm only 5' 6"! I even made eye-contact with a waitress as she was passing by the door to the bathroom (which was wide open and right next to the kitchen) as I was pulling my pants up! Not only that, the back of the stall door was adorned with graffiti the likes of which I've only seen in a middle school. I guess this is the only place girls can express their love for their crushes because the door was positively covered with hearts and "I heart Kenny"s. So weird!!! read more

House salad is quite good with various ingredients. I opted to add feta cheese for an extra $1.50 and they poured plenty top! Chowder is good but not great but interesting spice. Bruschetta is very fresh served with hot garlic bread. You prepare it yourself! Chicken Marsala is served on lots of linguine so it's more of a pasta dish than how it's traditionally served. Tasty nonetheless though I like more mushrooms. Pizza has super crust and very cheesy - great! Portions are huge so bring an appetite. read more

seriously awesome place. A hugely frequented location by locals. It is your typical older C/C restaurant, meaning it is very homey and comfortable. It is somewhat loud, but typical for ANY place. You won't have to use a hushed voice. the bartenders are amazing, hands down the best and most attentive on Lower Cape. You can't go wrong with their beer selections, and their gin and tonic is killer (yes you can screw those up) best... best... best of all? fires outside in a fire pit! seriously. you just hang out, drink in hand, and sit around like a campfire on hugely comfortable lawn chairs. The buff chicken pizza is a huge smash and it's what my friends and I always get. It is hugeness, and not at all pricey. It has an original spin in the sauce and the dressing. Horrific on many levels. Where to begin. First, we went with 6 adults and 2 kids on the recommendation of friends. As we walked in we were hit by the smell of the dishroom ("Hobart syndrome!") and then we sat in the tent (!) in the backyard, next to a swingset and an inflatable jumping room. The kids loved the backyard and playing.. .but the layout of the place was a mess - kids from all tables running around between and around dining tables constantly. They should separate the play area from the dining area instead of mixing them together. The "swing set" is decrepit and particular the wooden swinging 2 person horse thing is dangerous. The handles and seats tip sideways and it dumped a few kids and gave wood slivers to at least one while we ate. The restaurant should spend a few hundred bucks to buy or make a safe swingset. We love kids, and we love restaurants that cater to whole families eating together - but this setup/layout/execiution was a disaster. The food was, on the whole, terrible. The scallops were good and popular at our table, but the other entrees, ranging from the "Delmonico's" steak to the prawn pasta, were left virtually untouched by everyone at our table. The steak was mostly gristle - for two separate diners - and the mashed potatoes seemed to be 'instant potato flakes' and the vegetables were boiled beyond belief. None of it was any good. The kids' cheese quesadilla was OK (How can you go wrong with tortilla and melted cheese?!) but the Kids menu appeared to be vegetable-free and consisted mostly of (insert meat) "tenders", deep fried, and yogurt. Weird. Topping it all off was when the Giant Angry Guy at the table next to us stood up, shouted, and THREW HIS CHAIR AROUND, before storming out the back next to the inflatable jumping room. Rough crowd, apparently. There are MANY other places to go in Brewster with kids (Joanne's Fish Shack, the Reef Cafe, Brewster Coffee Shop for breakfast or lunch...) ... go to any of those instead. read more

This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere for families and travelers. The menu is large and varied with a slant toward Italian. My wife enjoyed the 3 cheese lasagna and I had the special lobster fettuccini alfredo w/healthy servings of lobster and a ton of pasta and sauce. Generous portions make for great leftover snacking. The house salad was surprising creative with shredded carrots, beets, red cabbage and mixed greens. Service was fine, no excuses when taking back a strange tasting tea and replacing it. Paper napkins and no free refills can be overlooked by the general pleasantness of the experience. I'll definitely be back. read more

Ate here last week with wife and daughter during our vacation. Dined on the outdoor patio. Service was pretty good and the food was decent. There is a playground in the patio area so that got a little annoying when some of the clueless parents were yelling at their kids while they sat at the table drinking . Eh hem....we aren't in the public park, we are at a restaurant. Then some creepy guy was doing pull ups on the swing set. That's when we lightened up a little and started to appreciate the entertainment factor of all this stuff going on. Sad that it's really one of a few restaurants in the area. As a year round resident, you get the privilege of being served terrible food coupled by rude service. I have watched this place go down in quality, service and atmosphere over the many years I've lived in Brewster. My first issue is with the food quality. You NEVER get a meal that you can depend on from past experience. Take my pizza takeout order. We ordered the large meat lovers pizza for pick up and couldn't make it through one slice. Toppings were overwhelming and the whole pizza was soggy. The 2nd and final time I ordered from them we got two entrees. Chicken Parmigiana and Steak tips. When I say it looked like they dug the chicken breasts out oh the prior nights garbage and melted a little extra cheese on it - I'm not exaggerating. The ONE bite of chicken I had was dry and flavorless. The linguine has cold sauce on it and it went immediately into the trash. Finally, if you do order to go - be careful of the drunk patrons at the bar who seem to be at least a couple times a week staple. The cash only policy is asinine and a pain in the ass frankly. I love this place. I've been coming here for about 20 years, since I was a little tyke. There's a reason this place is still around and popular with the locals. The service is good, not amazing but it's a family, no frills kind of place. They are open year round which is nice and they have really good prices, especially at the Cape. If you can get past the funky decor and gimmicks (flamingos and some bouncy thing out back for kids), it's a real find. They serve mostly Italian food with some interesting twists on American fare. I rarely get anything else besides the large plain cheese pizza, it's the best. Homemade crust, homemade sauce and cheddar (yes, it's really that good, just enough to add some bite). Everything here is homemade including their salad dressings. I also get the clam chowder, really good with red skinned potatoes and spicey, not too much since it's chowder but enough to add a kick. This place is by no means fancy but if you are looking for great, homemade food at really good prices, this is your place. A few things to watch out for: 1. No free refills on sodas, you usually get a big cup but be sure to pace yourself. 2. The dining room closes early, I think like 9 but the bar is open late, it's pretty noisey in there, so I wouldn't recommend it for families but the dining room is pretty quiet. 3. No air conditioning. This isn't usually a problem at the Cape but if it's one of those rare really hot days, it may be better to find a place that has air conditioning read more

A group of us had the pleasant opportunity of having a dinner to celebrate my son-in-law's birthday at Laurino's of Cape Cod recently. I was on vacation visiting them so they suggested this restaurant for dinner. I started with the Clam's Casino appetizer, which was better than I've had in a long time. My entrée was the Linguini with white clam sauce, which was absolutely delicious and plentiful (I needed a doggie bag, and even though my motel had no microwave, I had for breakfast the next day and it was even delicious cold). My daughter ordered the same, but it was a bit spicier than she likes, (she doesn't like really spicy food) so be warned. It was perfect for me. There was a good variety. Steak, pizza, a huge lasagna, calzones, and quesadilla's which the other members of our party enjoyed. I'd like to go there for my next visit to the cape. Also, after dinner they had a fire pit outside, which we enjoyed hanging out for awhile. read more

I ate here mid April 2008 (off season) so it is hard to say how the restrant changes over the summer. I had dinner and it was very good. I had a house salad that had the great blue cheese dressing that was home made. It was also a very large salad and could have been paired with an appetizer to make a meal. the pizza i had was a special they where doing that night called the Fenway. it was a sausage, pepper, onion and muster. it was quite good although i don't think i would be putting mustard on all pizzas from now on but it was quite fun as a novelty. My father had the same salad and the crab cakes that he really enjoyed. they where very meaty and went over stuffed with bread like some places make them. read more

My friend burned her hand, bad enough for it to blister, on the onion soup bowl.
