I don't go to steak houses often, but I saw that LB Steak was recently added to inKind so we decided to give this place a try. It's conveniently located in Bishop Ranch. It was easy to make same day reservations on Opentable and we were seated right away. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. And they seemed to have a lot of highchairs for children. We ordered the dry aged ribeye, the regular ribeye, summer salad, fries, mushrooms, and the potato. The only other steakhouse that I've been to recently is Niku in SF... and comparing LB to them... well, let's just say the bar was set a little too high. The potato, fries, and mushrooms all lacked flavor and were all just meh. I wished maybe the dry aged had been aged a little longer as it didn't quite hit the funky spot for me. I will say, my favorite thing was the tartare. Price was not too bad though - $300 for 2.5 people including a bottle of wine! They had a promotion, "when it rains they pour", so half off bottles (totally worth it!). I would come back again, but I probably wouldn't repeat my order. read more

Came with my family of 6 on a Sunday afternoon. They were fully booked so reservations are highly recommended (thankfully we had one)! We arrived about 30-40 minutes early and thanks to the hostess we were able to be seated early, which we really appreciated. It was a beautiful day so our table was outdoors. The service was very good - attentive and, for the most part, there were no long waits for anything we ordered. I tried: - Caviar Service - Fritto Misto - Loch Duart Salmon - Steak & Eggs - Macaroni & Cheese - Pan Roasted Foraged Mushrooms - Chocolate Butterscotch Pudding - Chocolate Molten Cake - Various cocktails Everything was delicious, but one of my favorites was the Loch Duart Salmon dish. The salmon was cooked to the perfect temp and the green garlic mash is the only way I want to each mashed potatoes from now on. I was very excited to finally come to LB. Located in the City Center, they starting building it before the pandemic which prolonged the opening until May of last year. The outside is nice to sit at, I'm sure, but at night the gf and I elected to sit inside. A very small bar front seats less than 10, and for you sports fan, no TV. Loved our dinner at LB steak! Decided to bring my husband here for his bday and it really set the vibe. Lighting is dark and a lil moody and there is tons of space but still feels pretty private with whoever you are with. Staff were really friendly and weren't upset when we arrived late due to some traffic. They checked on us often which was appreciated and made a ton of suggestions on what to order. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the mac and cheese was the perfect amount of cheese. I loved the veggies with our steak it added to the flavoring when eaten together. They have a few options to choose from with the sauces for the steak and if you wanna try a few just ask like we did! We made a reservation ahead of time. We were greeted as soon as we entered and were seated very quickly. The hostess put us in a half booth table. Very nice table set up, clean, and neat. Our server, Mike, was great! He came by to greet us and introduce himself right away. We quickly decided on a bottle of wine and he brought it out for us to try. It was delicious! So, I have enjoyed this spot in the past and have even hosted a few Christmas meals for my company here. I have noticed over the past year that the quality of meat is going down. Also, the service is bare bones. Today was the icing on the cake. We had seen online that there would be a brunch buffet and we were looking forward to it. We got here and they said that they are not doing the brunch buffet on holidays. It clearly said on the website, for May 11, that there would be the buffet. On top of that, my wife ordered a brunch special that they had, and I ordered the pork chop, both of them were extremely overcooked and dry. Been wanting to try this steakhouse since they came to the City Center. Found out they were participating in the Tri Valley Restaurant Week and had a fun lunch special which was a starter wedge salad and then a bbq wagyu brisket sandwich and fries. I visited LB Steak on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my friend's acceptance into med school. This is definitely a special occasion place, with steeper prices and a contemporary ambiance that sets it apart from your average steakhouse (e.g., Black Angus). We ordered the French Toast and Crab Benedict. While the portions are a bit skimpy for the price, the food is pretty good. The Crab Benedict featured two hefty cakes of crispy crab, which were fresh and complemented perfectly by the hollandaise sauce. Usually, hollandaise is too heavy for me, but this one was so flavorful and lemony that I found myself savoring every spoonful - leaving no drop behind on the plate. The tater tots, however, were just decent. For such a small portion, it felt more suitable for toddlers. The French Toast was delicious, but we didn't realize it would arrive deep-fried. While it was good for the first few bites, it quickly became too heavy and sopped in oil to be considered a breakfast dish; it seemed more fitting to be served as dessert. The service was incredible, and the drinks were great. Overall, LB Steak is a solid choice for a special occasion, but it probably won't make it into my regular rotation of go-to spots. read more

Was excited to try this place as I've walked past it a few times. The interior is pretty and the ambiance does give off a luxurious modern steakhouse vibes. When it comes to the food it was pretty decent. We ordered calamari, bread, fried chicken, wagyu burger, spinach and mac n cheese. The fried chicken was really good and the burger was okay a bit dry but still edible. The bread was fresh and full of flavor and the calamari was cooked perfectly. Came here to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend and had the best waitress ever! Ana was extremely knowledgeable on the menu, kind, and attentive. She offered to take photos for us which I always forget on special days. I really appreciate that she wanted to capture the moment for us. We ordered the tomahawk steak, side of mushrooms, oysters, and an octopus appetizer. Overall, I thought the food was well presented but the taste was okay. 5 Stars for our server, Forrest. He was great and provided excellent service. What went wrong? First, we were seated and it took 25 minutes before anyone came to our table. I had to ask the busser to find our server (which apparently was not assigned to us). Even after asking still nobody approached us until Forrest came by and asked if anyone helped us and he apologized and had to get permission to serve us. The big issue is at least 2 other servers walked by us several times and didn't say a word while serving the guests right next to us. Not a hello, nothing, and I don't even think Forrest was in this section but he went out of his way to make sure we were taken cared of. We ordered steaks, Mac and cheese with lobster and pork belly, mashed potatoes, and was given desserts and coffee. The steaks were perfect! The sides were great. The shrimp ..... came out twice and they were gummy and felt chewy and raw. The second time I believe it was the manager that came out and instead of apologizing he said the chef cut into it and it looked cooked. 2nd visit update: We had another great buffet brunch and it was consistent with what we experienced at our first visit. The tenderloin is delicious and the prawns fresh and tasty. We enjoyed all the dishes and the variety is good. Ana was our server and she is very good at anticipating what we need and friendly. Sarper is the manager and he is genuinely focused on providing good food and a positive dining experience. He is proud of LB and it shows. This time I took photos of the food to add to this review. NOTE: this buffet is available Sat and Sun every weekend EXCEPT if there's a holiday like Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc. Example, the buffet would be available on Saturday, but the Sunday holiday, it will not and the menu will be a normal a la carte or special menu . Celebrated my mom's birthday here, thought it would be a nice dinner to celebrate her but it was nothing special. I made reservations that included that it was her birthday, that brought no extra attention from the staff there. Service was mediocre, we watched as other tables were seated near us and were aerved bread and steady refills of their drinks or water. I had to ask for bread to be served and our drinks were unattended. Again, we watched as other meals were served around us before ours came out despite having been seated and ordered prior to them. Food was ok, and he calamari was heavily breaded and it tasted like something I could get at a drive thru. The steak was good but lukewarm, nothing to write home about. For the money I spent for a nice steak dinner experience, I feel the value was not worth it. Came here for a company dinner with a large party of 14. We had a reservation in advance but had to wait for everyone to be seated and ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. Once seated we ordered the bone marrow, calamari and seafood platter. All was very good! I thought the calamari could have had a better crunch though. Each person ordered a steak and a bunch of sides to share. I had the boneless rib eye cooked medium well because we were told you should order your steak cooked more than you typically would order because their version of medium well was actually the perfect medium. The steak was cooked just how I liked it and was so good! For sides we ordered the mushrooms, Brussels sprouts, spinach, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, and truffle fries. Everything was so good, my favorite was the Brussels sprouts and Mac n cheese. Service was also pretty good! I liked that there was no order roulette. The servers knew exactly who ordered what which is what I call great service. Dessert was also great! Crème brûlée, chocolate molten cake, bread pudding and I am not sure what the last one was but all tasted amazingggg!!! Back to LB steakhouse for another great business dinner! The staff was attentive, and my water glass never reached empty before being refilled. I'm a water guzzler! Jacquie was our main waitress and worked with me to understand which appetizers were better for sharing so that I could order for my table of 21 people. I wish I had taken pictures of the appetizers The presentation was lovely. We got the calamari that had a delightful sauce in the bottom of the bowl, making it easy to scoop off the top if you didn't want the sauce and on the bottom if you did. We also had the shrimp and, of course bread. Most of my table ordered the scallops or some form of steak Which are pictured in the attachments. Everybody was happy with their order. Celebrated my monthsary here with my partner. We decided to dine in at this LB Steak location rather than the one in Santana Row since this location had better reviews-- and I'm glad we made that decision! My partner and I had a couple appetizers and we shared a tomahawk steak together, cooked at a medium-rare perfection. The service here was phenomenal. We did have to wait a little since we wanted to wait for a booth but all of our expectations were met. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting-- I loved the high ceilings and the warm lighting. Underwhelmed by the dinner tonight. I felt like I was at a fast food steak house. Ambiance was pretty meh for the price point. Four of us got the boneless ribeye (65$) and super tough, I couldn't even eat more than a few bites. The seafood tower looked like it was thrown together. I have had multiple at many different high end restaurants and this was pretty sad. The octopus was actually one of the only decent dishes. Branzino was also favorable. We couldn't have dessert because they were out of both of the items we wanted. I don't know if I would revisit. I'm glad I gave it a try but it definitely isn't up to par. Apparently, the happy hour deals are not a secret the place filled up on the patio and the bar tables with patrons wanting get in. We sat and enjoyed the fresh oysters, calamari and the Wagyu burger. It was nice to see LB pulling in all the new customers with its happy hour promotion. Service was good. They did run out of horseradish for the oysters and probably should have gone across the street to Whole Foods to get some. Plenty of parking. read more

Came here for a birthday and it was a wonderful experience. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the ambience is great during the day time. Our waitress was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The only downside from this experience was the food took quite a long time to come out. Our appetizers came out first- bread and lobster bisque. But the wait between the appetizer and the entrees was extremely long, and I can tell other tables were waiting for a while as well. For reference we came in on a Sunday around 1pm, the restaurant wasn't too busy but there was a private event going on in the back room. Although I had reservations I probably didnt need them, we came around 2 pm on Saturday. I like that there steaks are alcarte and come plain unless you choose a sauce to coat it with. ***Happy Hour Review*** LB Steak is one of my favorite steakhouses in the Bay Area. I have eaten here a few time and it's always been a great experience, both in terms of food and service. A couple weeks ago, fellow Elite George F. texted me a picture of their happy hour menu. While I am not a drinker, their HH food lineup definitely got me intrigued. So on 08/18/2023, George and I came here to check it out. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around 4:10 pm. After we were greeted by the hostess, we proceeded to grab a table in the bar area. A large screen TV was showing the Giants game. George and I were happy since we are both fans of the Orange and Black. One of the servers came by to take our order. For starters, we got a dozen oysters ($21) and fritto misto ($6) to share. We also each got a wagyu burger with bacon and cheese added ($12). By the time we finished ordering, the place got real busy. It didn't take long for the food to come. The oysters were served with cocktail sauce, vinaigrette, and half a lemon. They were briny and fresh. The fritto misto was okay. Although the calamari and shrimp were fresh, the coating was a bit soggy. The wagyu burger was full size and excellent. It was cooked to my specifications and the meat was juicy and delicious. The accompanied fries were very crispy. Service we received was great. We made reservations for 7:00 PM. We were greeted very pleasantly by the host and seated right away. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu.
