Although I have never had a burger here before, I believe that this spot has the best breakfast burrito in the South Bay. Last time I was there it was cash only (not sure if they have upgraded yet)- so come prepared just in case. I recommend calling in advance for pickup, otherwise you might be waiting awhile! I went to LBJ burgers today for the first time and I was not impressed. I came here for breakfast and all I wanted was bacon eggs and hash-browns. The eggs were scrambled and overcooked, the hashbrowns were not shredded they're kind of some other kind of thing that's different :-), the bacon was about average. When we left the window to sit at the table because it just open for table dining again and the girl did not hand us any napkins or ask if we wanted salsa. Basically things were not great. read more

Ordered over the phone lady acted like she didn't know English, asked for a wet Asada burrito, without asking she put avocado and charged for it, I like avocado so I didn't mind. We were searching for some legit breakfast burritos in the South Bay as we got tired of waiting for about an hour on the weekends at every restaurant we went to. So we have this place a shot on a whim after reading some other Yelp reviews and man we were not disappointed. We love El Burrito and figured that this place had to be just as good. It was! The Bacon Breakfast Burrito is amazing, make sure to ask for extra sauce. My Husband likes the Polish Sausage Breakfast Burrito and the Steak one, although he does mention frequently that the Steak is a really fatty, so you may was to pass on that one. Keep in mind, the parking lot is tiny and they only take cash. Save some time and call in your order ahead of time. We love picking up our burritos and then going down to the beach to eat them! Well they got me again. I ordered 2 hot dogs, i figured how hard is it to make a hot dog right? Well I was wrong and to add insult to injury I was charged $10.00 for two hot dogs??? I also really like the steak philly sandwich. The fries are fat fries and very decent. Outside seating with the ocean breeze is great. We stopped here on our last day of our beach vacation in Redondo Beach. Everyday I would see people standing here and wanted to try it before I left. We ordered burgers, turkey burgers, and French fries. Everything was cooked to order and delicious. We all decided they have THE BEST fries! My husband actually went up to the counter on our way out to tell the guy he has the best French fries he has ever eaten. Really really sad to have to post this. I've been a huge fan of LBJ's since I was born. But I have to say that this childhood favorite just continues to fall far below expectations. The special C used to be the best bean and cheese burrito in the world and the portions WERE massive. The Carne Asada burrito was my favorite burrito , not to mention THE BEST post beach grub in the South Bay. As the years have gone by the prices have gone up and the quality and portions has gone down. I mean the special C was 3.75 as a kid and it's up to 7.00 now AND they're smaller than ever. The only reason to come to this place now is for the nostalgia, not the food. Last time I went was the nail in the coffin. Food portions were much smaller than ever and the price was increased again. If you want the old school experience go for the special C. The junior Carna Asada burrito and the Carnitas are usually pretty good as well. Now they have a super burrito for $30 that's free if you can eat it all...so there's that. Cash only but there's an ATM out front Breakfast burritos are small but highly customizable.
