We have been ordering carry out here almost weekly for the past few months and the food has always been very good. We ordered takeout today and one of our chicken dishes was either old or overcooked - rock-hard. I called the restaurant, their son who is not more than 12 or 13 answered so I asked to speak with the manager. He asked why and would not comply. He was rude and disrespectful and stated they were too busy to talk and that he couldn't do anything to help me. Will not be returning! read more

Oh man...they messed up Christmas REEEEEEAAAAAAALL bad. Ordered at 5:15 pm and at 6:15 they come out to the lobby and said they " lost the orders". Just inexcusable. Then they don't answer the phone when you go home and try to reorder. I know Christmas is their busiest day but if you can't properly staff ,you shouldn't open. read more

I had take out at this restaurant about 2 weeks ago. I would have given it 5 stars if it I didn't have to wait for an extended time after I called ahead for my order. They need help. I ordered the fried shrimp which were yummy! Minimal breading which I love! Not greasy at all! Yay! The egg rolls were cabbage and I was bummed at first because I like bean sprouts with shrimp or chicken but they were good too! I was pleasantly surprised! They had plenty of shrimp in the shrimp fried rice. Big ones! My sister had mild Szechuan Chicken but she said it still had a kick to it! She liked it too. I'm a though critic! My wife and I tried this place for the first time today. We ordered a few things and it was for carry out. They said that the order would take 15 minutes when in fact it took them over 40 minutes. When we finally did get the food it was good and that it was big portions and pretty tasty. The little kid is funny but I'm not sure that it's appropriate for him to joke so much with the crowd. I ordered the Szechuan chicken dinner four times & it was very good. The egg rolls are good. The wonton soup has great wontons, but the broth is very watered down. Last time that I went there a man waited on me & I received old rotten dry noodles for my soup that went in the trash. Just moved into the area, and was looking for a good Chinese restaurant. This place got such good reviews? What a let down YELP ! Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I got it to go, said it would be 20 minutes, got there at 25 minutes, and still waited another 20 minutes? I tried various dishes to see what might be good. Picked up carry out at LC's last night. We were in the area and thought we'd try it based on the recommendations. It was excellent! The kids loved the sweet and sour chicken! Always a plus when there's pineapple in the sauce! We asked if they made chow fun and they made it for is even though it's not on the menu! It was fantastic! We had it with shrimp. Often shrimp scares me at Chinese restaurants because they don't do a good job devaining it. Not the case here. We will definitely be back! read more

Decent American chinese. Having been inside I would definitely call this a carry out joint. We tried the usual staples: ma po tofu, moo shu pork and general tsos. Everything was hot and well seasoned, with none of the 'everything looks like the same brown sauce' issues. Not particularly impressed with this - the general tso's was 75% batter. the chicken was dry and chewy, although the sauce was tasty, it was not spicy at all despite their chili pepper next to the menu. The egg drop soup was basic and what you'd expect. Crab rangoons were the best thing we got. Got take out, but the dining room was EMPTY at 6pm on a Friday, so that's not a good sign... Looking forward to trying different Chinese places in the area. I'd come back here in a pinch. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight. I had the General's chicken and my mom got the Almond boneless. My mom thought the chicken was very dry and didn't taste that good. I thought my generals chicken had too much breading. The chicken also didn't have that great of flavor. The portion size was good for the price though. I ordered carry out on Thursday night and was so disappointed. I ordered almond chicken. You gave me fried chicken with no sauce. After a very confusing phone call I was told to drive back to you to pick up the sauce that should have come with my meal. That was not acceptable. I came to your restaurant and you gave me the sauce. You "included" an egg roll to make up for it. When I ordered my dinner, I actually asked you to not include that roll because I didn't want or like it. I had to come back to you because you forgot to put in the sauce for the almond chicken that I ordered and I thought it was gross to consume the chicken without it. I drove back to your restaurant (which is not just around the corner) to pick up the sauce and was surprised with a disgusting sauce that is nothing like what I had when I ordered there last month. It is more than just an adjustment, it is a BIG change. Your "new" management has created an entire stink of fish in my house that is not easy to get rid of. That is not what I was expecting when I paid ten bucks for this meal - to have to drive back to the restaurant and then have you very graciously give me back the spring roll I told you I didn't want in the first place - that I was excited for. This was actually awful. I'd like to give you a second chance but I'm too consumed with just getting this smell out of my house so the neighbors don't complain. What are you doing? I have been going here for 2 years beat place ever... The food is really good. Large portions, price is fair and you feel full after eating. You know if cops eat their its a good place and both MH and RO PD are always on lunch and dinner their. Family is friendly although the younger son is always trying to help sometimes too much. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The only negative is the chairs which I don't find comfortable. Seriously the food is at such a different level than most neighborhood Chinese restaurants that it isn't even comparable. The owners are an Asian couple who are just the nicest people in the world. The husband is a chef from China and you can tell by the quality and freshness of every item that comes out of their kitchen. Simple things like dumplings and won ton are all made in house and so much better than anything else in the area that I have had. Their main dishes are so good and plentiful as well. We regularly get the shrimp egg fu young as well as the mu shoo pork. Both are excellent. Their generals chicken is the best I've ever had. The Szechuan chicken is outstanding and they will make it however hot you would like. Great food and a great family that runs this place. It's a hole in the wall place that you should certainly try. I have a new favorite restaurant! We got way too much food, and I'm so excited for the leftovers!! The egg drop soup is life-changing. The egg roll wasn't over stuffed (a personal pet peeve of mine), the fried rice abundant, the portions exceptionally abundant (yay!!) My husband and I LOVE LC's. We come here weekly. I am probably the biggest fan of their pan fried dumplings (I order two orders every time). My husband's tried a few dishes and liked all of them. Everything is handmade and delicious. They also have a really cute daughter who hangs out in the restaurant and it's just a great family environment. Love, love, love them! read more

Consistently good. Every time we get food from here I'm always pleased and can't wait to go back. Portion size is good, so it makes the prices a better deal. My daughters love the wanton soup. The pan fried dumplings are the best I've ever had. So meaty and big. I don't even bother ordering them at other places. Chicken is always tender and tasty. Not as impressed with the beef meals, except for the orange beef that our family loves (we order it mild.) Service is good and the owner always gets the order right. This is simply the best Chinese food in the area. Honestly, it's a top contender for the best food in the area PERIOD. I've sampled just about the entire menu, but I find it's the classics that stand out. The sesame, orange, and general chicken put everything in the area to shame. Moving form Chicago to small town MI took a lot of getting used to in the restaurant/takeout department. Most places are hit and miss (and often not consistent in quality or flavor). LC was simply the best Chinese I've had in MI to date. I got $80 bucks worth of takeout and every single thing we've tried is fabulous. Shrimp in Lobster Sauce was brown (as it's supposed to be) and DELISH! Egg rolls and spring rolls were great. Pad Thai was a touch on the sweet side but good. Still have four dishes we haven't tried yet. The Bly thing that wasn't great was the pot stickers (pan fried), they were just ok (still better than all the other places we've tried. Really a 4.5/5 star review I'm a bit of a chinese food snob... I compare dishes to the stuff I grew up with, which is all southern california LA/OC and the amazing food I've had in Taipei. After leaving CA, I lived in Richmond, VA for 6 years and when I moved to southeast michigan, I found this little gem which has become one of my favorites. Mom and Pop Chinese restaurant with great food that you won't find at many other places. I love all the spicy pepper salt dishes... its for these dishes alone that I will keep eating here until I leave Michigan. Lettuce wraps are pretty good, shrimp toast is a little more breaded than I prefer but still good, I've tried ordering the shrimp balls a few times but they're always sold out. I'll get them one day... Cantonese pan fried noodles hit the spot perfectly and the cost is reasonable Sauteed flounder with veggies was delicious, the eggplant was one of the better eggplant dishes I've had in a long time (and my wife orders this at every chinese place we eat at). Mixed review on a couple of their specials.. The crispy duck I ordered was too dry. The beef with ginger and onion was okay but I won't be getting it again. read more

First good Asian takeout place I have found in the royal oak area. The combos are large enough for 2-3 meals so that is another plus.

Had a great dinner at LC's Asian Kitchen. When we walked into this very clean place the hostess was really friendly. We order a few appetizers and each one was better than the next. The staff came often to fill our water and was very attentive to our every needs. The food was great with large portions and it is nice to find a great place so close to our home. Witnessed many people coming in for take out orders also while we ate dinner. Will come back and enjoy another few dishes. read more
