OK, hear me out. Yes, the place is nothing more than a hole in the wall, but the vibe is very quaint and authentic. Yes, there's typically only one person working in the entire place despite it being table service, yet with a little bit of patience and grace, the service is very endearing. Yes, the food is prepared in toaster ovens and microwaves, but it's really good, albeit not 100% authentically French. I don't often dine here in the summer but fall, winter and spring it is on my go to list! The menu is very much influenced by the owner Vero's French roots. She operates the restaurant during open hours largely by herself. Reservations are strongly recommended! Careful timing of reservations is how Vero spaces out patrons so she can provide good service. A little part of France exists in Wilton Manors, suburb french fair with a slight twist, attentive but not over baring service, a lovely environment especially the garden. While visiting Fort Lauderdale in October 2023 I read how wonderful LePatio was supposed to be, so I searched for and found the tiny place. Even though I went there on a day and time their web site states they are OPEN, they were CLOSED!!! It wasn't easy to find the place and I really wanted to try their restaurant. BUT THEY DO NOT ADHERE TO THE DAYS/HOURS THEIR WEB SITE STATES THEY ARE OPEN!!!!! Why were the closed: Maybe they don't have a clean kitchen. Maybe their food is not good. My wife and i were looking for a very nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary and Le Patio was the perfect place. They call themselves the "cutest little restaurant in South Florida". Indeed it is. Inside are two tables for 2. The rest of the tables are out back on the patio. It was a very humid evening and I chose to sit inside. I'm glad I did! I enjoyed eating in their kitchen and the two women who cook and own the place were charming and enjoyed conversing with us about their food. They cook European comfort food. My wife had a very good French onion soup and I had scallops wrapped in bacon with a balsamic glaze both were very delicious. My wife had the shrimp and crab ravioli in a delicious cream sauce. I was more adventurous and went for their Cioppino, a fish and seafood stew in a wonderful spicy red sauce. They served it with some very good French bread for soaking up all the sauces. We enjoyed a couple of glasses of their house wine. All their portions were very generous but we did have room for a delicious chocolate mousse. We both saw other items on their menu and will be sure to return to try some of their other European comfort food. Le Patio was a joy to eat in. The food is mediocre. The first indication was the French onion soup which was disappointing. The main dish was Shepard's Pie which was just ok. It did not have much meat in it and lacked flavor. Absolutely loved this place. Ambiance is romantic and eclectic but can be enjoyed with a group or as a couple. My husband I enjoyed a nice meal together and shared a bottle of a French wine. Me,my cousin and my friend was craving French food and found this place on Yelp and we had to go! The set up this restaurant was very different. As you walk in theirs a small bar area and if there are people there it makes it difficult to pass by. But once you walk to the back. It's very intimate and very cute for a date. Everything looked almost like a house type environment. Theirs probably about 3-4 tables and we went at night time so we were given lights to be able to see our menu since everything was outside and their wasn't any lights to fit the style of dinning. I ordered pasta Bolognese ($17.95), my cousin ordered the escargot de bourgogne ($15.95) and the Grantin de macaroni ($9.95) and my friend ordered lobster ravioli (19.95). Everything was so delicious. I tried my cousins food and it was my first time trying escargot and it was really tasty. Almost like a mushroom. This place was so cute and the esthetics was beautiful. Their location is a bit tricky being right off of The Drive at the end, tucked on the Right Side of 11th Street behind Bona Pizza! Remember it is small! It does not take much to fall instantly in zest with their small intimate space. We were greeting immediately by the two lovely Owners, Jean & Vero then swept off to our table! Jean and Vero are very active in their business making people fall in love with every aspect of their charm and appeal! I always admire being able to meet the faces behind the hard work and beloved food and let me tell you, these are the two to meet! Jean was most wonderful in giving us insight of their business, recommending Wine and Entrees we should order, and making our experience at Le Patio a Memorable One! I'm definitely a fan of this little, and I really do mean little Frenchie type, sort of bistro like restaurant. Vero does the cooking and she really is a great cook coming up with delicious foods and constantly changing items. She has a partner, Jean, and that is it; a mere two person operation. How Vero manages to cook in the little tiny kitchen, smaller than found in most studio size apartments, I'll never know, but she does it and she does it to a high degree of perfection. There are only a couple of indoor tables, maybe seating a total of four and in the back patio area it would be a push to serve more than ten. Because of it being a two person operation, this is not the place to go if you are in a rush. But if you are not in a rush, the wait time is definitely worth the wait for the food. It is distinctively French in origin, but has a unique, creativeness about it making it somewhat different from anything I've had in France, which I find to be very much to their credit. And yes, it being located in Wilton Manor, most of the customers are gay but this is a "We Are One People" place so everyone is welcome and everyone, gay straight or otherwise all fit in and are all treated with equal respect. read more

Planning a wine girl's night out, on a Friday... The place we originally picked was closed for a private event, so I went on Yelp. Looked for a wine bar near the same area we would have been, and immediately Le Patio came up on the list. Solid 4 stars with more than 150 reviews, and to make it even more convincing, some of those reviews and pictures were from friends I trust have good taste. They call themselves "the tiniest cutest restaurant in South Florida". Since this was a last minute decision, I was concerned it would be full when we got there so I called to make a reservation. 5:30pm, on the dot, when they open for dinner I grabbed my phone and was able to get a table for 4 at 7pm. How lucky were we?!!? Once we get there, we do realize it is, in fact a tiny and extremely cute place. The inside has maybe 1 or two tables, plus some high chairs at the "bar" (in quotes because it's actually where the kitchen is). Outside is absolutely charming. A little water fountain at the end, about 4 - 5 tables, plants, tea lights, make you feel like you are at someone's patio and they have set the mood to make you fall in love with the place. Everyone already in the restaurant seemed to be regulars or repeat customers. This says a lot about a place, especially when the owners (who are also the cook and server) take the time to talk to them as if they were friends. We ordered a bottle or wine, and the baked brie to start. This comes with slices of bread on the side and apple slices. Very good start. Then everything else started coming out as it was ready - we ordered tapas style so we could all share and try more things. Mussels a la crème was one of my favorite dishes. That sauce was delicious, I had to control myself and not dunk all the bread in it. Bacon Scallops - loved how tender the scallops were cooked and the combination with the pear. Presentation is very nice too. Gratin Macaroni this is a perfect side if you want to make any of the proteins your meal. We had it with the escargot and went so well together. The Gratin is cheesy but subtle in flavor so it allows the garlic buttery sauce of the escargot to be the front of the dish. Feta Fingers - first time I've even seen this on the menu and loved the crunchy phyllo dough, and the sweet honey contrasting the saltiness of the cheese. Basil Gnocchi and Pesto was the last dish. Cooked to order, I saw her taking it out of the pot when I went inside, and 2 minutes later was on our table. Hot, creamy, perfectly cooked and so flavorful. Between all this dishes, more wine was brought (and water :p ). The ladies would make sure we were enjoying the dishes, and would talk to us a little, making us feel welcomed and as part of the family. They took our picture, and asked if they could post on their IG. Looking through it, I saw they do this with many of their customers, showing appreciation for their visit. I like that! After all that good food, we had to try dessert... Crème brulee torched right on the table, so you can smell the amazing aroma of caramelized sugar, and your anxiousness to break that sugar top builds more and more. We also shared the Chocolate Pudding - this was heavenly, light, chocolaty, and one you must try. About 3 hours we spent there, chatting, eating, drinking, and admiring the charm of Le Patio. This restaurant has had a very negative and intense vibe. The hours are very limited and they aren't always open even during their posted hours. I still have yet to eat there because it's usually closed. The owner is an older grouchy and unwelcoming French chef. The inside with AC only has 2 small tables and the outside is incredibly, uncomfortably hot like a sauna. It's prob best on rainy days so it's not sweltering. And that's the grand total for the inside and outside seating areas combined. People, this place is TINY. It's also one of the darkest restaurants in South Florida. (My pics just don't do the place justice...!!!) Dark is fine with me, though. It really helps to set it apart from all the bright lights and hub-bub that's happening a few steps away on Wilton Drive. Been coming into Le Patio for years. Still a great little spot to grab a leisurely meal with friends or with a date. Stopped in recently with a friend and had a fantastic meal. Started with apps of artichoke bottoms (Who doesn't like a good bottom...???) and a baked brie. Artichoke bottoms are lightly breaded, baked and stuffed with goat cheese. Could have eaten an entire plate of 'em. Brie is baked with a little bit of tomato and pesto inside. I like to think of it as 'French Queso.' Always a great starter. My dining buddy and I both had the diver scallops served over mashed peas. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Peas were hearty without being heavy. And the mixed veggies around the perimeter of the plate were tender, seasoned just right and a served with tiny bit of balsamic to finish them off. Had a pear crumble for dessert. It didn't knock my socks off. It was kind of 'expected.' But it was good. We ate every bite. And just FYI, if you're planing on stopping-in during any of the peak dining days/hours, go ahead and make a reservation. The place is so super tiny that if 10 or 12 people in all of South Florida get the same idea at the same time, the place can go from empty to near capacity almost instantly. My partner and I went here for Valentine's day. It was a wonderful experience. There was a small menu you could choose a appetizers, main entree, and then the dessert was Chocolate Mousse and Champagne. We were also brought a surprise small bite to start everything off of a quail egg in volcanic dust, poppy seeds, a mustard all on top a cracker. It was a beautiful start. I had the Artichoke bottoms stuffed with Goat Cheese, my partner had the Duck Pate. For mains we had the Salmon Wellington and the Shepjerd's Pie. Everything was delicious. What a beautifully quaint little spot over in Wilton Manors. A bit hard to find when driving at night but there was a street parking assistant who was very helpful. We weren't aware of the paid parking and felt a little weird about giving this guy dressed in a T-shirt and cargo pants our cash but that seemed to be the only parking available. We made a reservation days before for 3 people at 6:30pm but were running late and they were able to accommodate us for a later arrival at 7:30pm. When we arrived it was a tad bit hard to maneuver through the inside of the restaurant past the bar and table that was inside. We were seated at a table outside on the patio () and were given menus (that looked like flyers), a chalkboard of daily specials, an adorable book with the drink options and a flashlight to read it all. We had already reviewed the menu prior to going there so we knew what we wanted. We ordered: (1) house glass of Chardonnay $7.95 (1) house glass of Cabernet $7.95 Escargot de Bourgogne $15.95 Gratin de Macaroni $9.95 Lobster Ravioli $19.95 Pasta Bolognese $17.95 Our food came out as it was ready. Everything was very tasty. I wasn't too much a fan of the Gratin de Macaroni as the cheese got very hard on top as I was eating but the Lobster Ravioli made up for that. Le Patio is a true gem. We were visiting some friends in Willow Manors who are regulars. The atmosphere is laid back, with charming and eclectic decor. The restaurant is small and cozy but not overcrowded. A nice wine menu with a number of reasonably priced choices. We had a couple bottles of a very nice chardonnay. They have a nice selection of appetizers- I really enjoyed the French onion soup and the tomatoes Provençal. For the entrees, the pasta was excellent- a very nice cream sauce and a generous portion. Both of the owners waited on us at a couple points in the evening. They were very friendly and welcoming. Chocolate mousse for dessert was the right choice- small but incredibly decadent. It went perfectly with a very generous pour of port. Everything combined to make a lovely evening. This will be a must visit on future trips to Fort Lauderdale. read more

It was in a green sauce with garlic even though I prefer butter and garlic sauce, therefore I couldn't say it was excellent. But that has to do with my personal preference, nothing against the chef. For the main meal: 1 had lobster ravioli and he said it was excellent and one had the chicken richelle which he said was good. This person always finds fault with something so I take his information with a grain of salt. I had the scallops. They were the best scallops I have ever had. They were tender and the sauce was delicious. I have never had scallops so tender as these. I always accepted as scallops being on the rubbery side. Side note that has nothing to do with the restaurant: parking is a b!tch. Only 4 spots on the street and there is a small parking lot a block away. However, you must have an app to pay as there are no meters. I had trouble with the app and had to call to register my name, email and credit card. Yay Le Patio you made my Mama happy! My mom loves escargot, I can pretty much get her to do whatever I need help with if there's escargot in it for her. After looking at some local bathroom remodeling showrooms (boring!) I informed Mama that we were going to get her escargot. We found the location...it is a bit off the beaten path, parked outside in the pay meters (bring your quarters kiddies), and walked inside. We were quickly greeted by the "French" chef/ owner (keep in mind this isn't just a "FRENCH" restaurant she promptly informed us)! It was raining that day so we did not choose to sit outside, EVEN though Le Patio is covered. We sat inside and were able to watch said chef cook all our entrees which was great, Mama really enjoyed this part. Mama and I shared: Escargot and "French" bread, a salad (split in half), and we ordered the Shepard's pie just to taste it was really leftovers for Dad b/c that's one of his favorite meals. (See Pix of these meals) Mama typically doesn't like Shepard's pie but she loved this one too! In fact, Dad went to eat it later for dinner and found the box empty because she ate it! So now I have to take my Dad there too! Just to update this review a little. As I said in my initial review, it was suggested to me that I add pasta to the leftovers. I did. She was exactly right. It was incredible. I had about a third of a box of spaghetti in my cupboard, so that's what I used. I had it for lunch, but there was some leftover. The next day, I had it for lunch again. There was still some left. Today I'm finishing it, which means that I have had four meals from this one dinner. That averages to about $7.50 per meal. That includes the spaghetti and tax on the dinner at the restaurant. All-in-all, that's very reasonable for the quality of the food. I can't wait to try the French Onion Soup and Shepherd's Pie. read more
