We enjoy this place immensely. Where else can you find a huge delicious bowl of Pho for less than $10.00? I usually get the medium size bowl ($6.50?) and it's more than plenty for me, but I do add the extra noodles sometimes. They also bring you out a cream puff before the meal, which is nice. I'm giving a 4 star because while the food is great and it arrives at your table in just a couple minutes, the service is a bit lacking with everything else. They are at your table almost immediately after you sit down asking what you want, then seem a bit upset if you don't know. I've also ordered tea and a couple other things and never got it, at least they didn't charge me. I think there is a bit of a language barrier, so the wife and I keep it simple and just order the number and the size of bowl. The pros certainly out weigh any cons. I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes Pho or wants to give it a whirl. read more

Love love love love loveeeeee my Pho Than Brothers!!! I really only have great things to say about this place. I've been going here for years now and sure I've ventured off to find the next best place but there just isn't one. The service is awesome. The owner and his staff are just very friendly and down to earth and know mine and my boyfriends order by heart. They even know our special requests and have them on the table without us having to ask. And as for the pho... My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Always steaming hot and the broth is cooked to perfection. The plate of veggies they bring to the table are always very fresh (I've seen some very questionable bean sprouts from other places) and to top it off, they bring a complimentary plate of cream puffs as well!! I have been going here for about 4 years now. This has to be the best pho in the northwest. Before I came here I tried pho a couple times and absolutely hated it. The actual pho was so/so, but the atmosphere is what got to me. The tables, chairs, carpet and kitchen all seemed very dingy despite the place wreaking of bleach. I've been to other Than Brothers in Seattle, and those are a little better, but that just seems to be their thing. Than Brothers definitely has some of the best pho around the area and great prices. My wife and mother-in-law are from Vietnam and they both liked Than Brothers. We've been going here for several years now (mostly in the colder months) and the food has been consistent. And I love the complimentary creme puff they give you. The Ph'o is decent, but the prices went up and they no longer included cream puffs with your meal. It's a sketchy area, but your car will be okay. The inside is a bit run down and not the cleanest. Been on a Vietnamese food kick lately - pho, banh mi, spring rolls, young coconut juice, etc. Thought I'd try this place out today. It's a lot better than the other Pho place across the street. They provided more meat and they had some cream puff desert things. Only thing I didn't like was how unsanitary the restaurant felt. The place to go on a cloudy or rainy northwest day...or if you have a craving for some cream puffs. Went there again yesterday for some takeout and again they were quick and the order was made fresh. They are cheap, good and you get a free cream puff. I don't think they ever run out of cream puffs since they make them at this location. I really love the broth that Pho Than Brothers make. It's just right - not too salty, but still has flavor. I usually order the combination pho and am usually pleased that I haven't been shorted on tendon or tripe. I never like it when pho restaurants feel that they can do that when I paid and ordered the combination pho. The pho always comes out hot, so be careful and don't burn your tounge (yeah, I know hard to do when you've been wanting to get that pho fix). It's a great place to eat with friends or family and is casual so you don't have to dress up. I've gone before when there's been a lunch crowd but it isn't too bad and they seat you very promptly! The waitstaff has always been great about refilling water and they're friendly. The pho is also priced well for the amount you get. What really puts it over the edge is the delicious cream puff you get with the purchase of pho! My family and I found this place nearly 10 years ago. We initially discovered Pho at the "Pho Asia Noodle House" about a block down the street but that restaurant decided to take the Extra-Large bowl off the menu so we wandered down the street to the Than Bros and never left. A little tip to Pho Asia Noodle House if they read their competitors Yelp reviews; don't try pulling "Steve Jobs" type business moves if you're not actually Steve Jobs. Even most of the people who like his products still think he was a jerk. You decided that your customers didn't need the XL option and you lost our business. Anyway, back to our friends at the Everett Than Bros. I think that the Noodle House down the street actually did us a favor. This Than Bros location has been the most consistently delicious Pho that we have eaten. That includes all the other Than Bros locations around the area. Pho has addictive, crack like qualities in and of itself as evidenced by the sheer number of restaurants that serve it that have popped up in the past 15 years. When we started eating here, we were often the only people in the restaurant. We were pretty much always the only white people. These days, the place is consistently full from lunch time on with a UN style variety of ethnic backgrounds. Our kids have literally grown up on their pho and this is still one of the most frequented restaurants by our family. I'll credit the quality of Than Bros food for keeping my kids away from the golden arches and their general dislike of standard fast food in general. At one point, my doctor credited them for me losing a bunch of weight. Her theory was that because I was eating their food so often, the broth made my stomach feel more full and prompted me to eat less calories. Their broth is flavorful and their noodles fresh and delicious. The meat is perfect. If you've ever had overcooked shaved beef in Pho Thai, you know that is important. My family loves the cream puffs served with the meal as well. This is the only food that anyone in my family wants when they're not feeling well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Honestly, the only reason that I didn't give them the whole five stars is that I know five star Yelp reviews are sometimes regarded as suspicious and I want this review to be beneficial to these nice people and their great business. read more

Another Friday night with the dinner 'blahs', my husband told me to pick a restaurant. I was hankering for pho, so we came to Pho Than Brothers about a month ago. Like the other ubiquitous pho restaurants, service was insanely fast - just like PTB's Ballard location (which I have also visited). No sooner had we sat down did the server come to take our order (I'm talking literal seconds), but we needed more time (obviously). I took in the space and noted that it's fairly pedestrian and non-descript, but you're getting big portions and great prices so can't complain about the surroundings. I opted for the Tai Nam with eye-round steak* and well-done flank (small) and my husband chose the quadruple bypass - Tai Chin Nam Gan eye-round steak*, brisket, flank, soft tendon. The accompaniments - sprouts, basil, and lime - came within a split second of our orders being taken, along with the free cream puffs. This is the first (and only) pho place I've been to that advertised free cream puffs and actually served them. The soup came just as quick and the meat was already well done by the time the bowls were delivered to our table. The broth was deliciously flavored, and I was actually sad at how quickly I felt full because some broth would inevitably go down the drain. Delicious pho. My daughter and I shared an XL #9 with a tasty beef broth, plenty of rice noodles, and 2 types of beef. I don't normally like rice noodles, but these were awesome. Than Brothers Pho is different at each location. The Everett location seems to be consistent with their broth with rich flavors. This is where they produce their cream puffs that get shipped to the different stores. There's something I cannot get past, which is the carpet in these restaurants. I know the carpets do not get cleaned on a regular basis much less a annual basis and with soup sloppy around and spilling on the floor, it makes me a little queasy sometimes to just think about it. I am addicted to the cream puffs and vow one day I will figure out the secret recipe! I rate it 4 stars for this particular location and more so for the price of their soups. read more

I had been here before but it had been at least 2 years. Why I waited that long to come back, I have no idea. It is just as good as I remember it, maybe better. Portion size is great. I ordered the small Chicken, the husband got a medium and the kid got a small. He barley made a dent in it. Service is good, straight forward and they don't bug you which I like. Best pho in town. That's because all they serve is pho and they make it really good at an amazing value. Big size portion order the XL with extra noodle and extra meat, and you'll leave with a over satisfied stomach. They offer a complimentary cream puff which is ok. The only con I can think off is all they serve is pho. I enjoy eating spring rolls with my pho. If they ever decided to add spring rolls I bet it would be the best. We used to eat here pretty often but will never eat here again. Last time we went we saw a couple roaches on the wall. We stopped eating and asked the waiter. He said they are from "upstairs". Great pho and blazing fast service! Went there with a few fiends, one of which was broke and didnt want to pay for food. We ordered the same ol' Rare w/ Egg roles and even the friend that didnt order got a free cream puff! how nice.
