This place is a gem. Great pricing, service, and food. Tom Yum Soup is often an afterthought for Thai restaurants, but not here. It is a cure all type of soup. They make the best one I've had. Perfect ratio on the ingredients. The pork belly is legit - if you cook it to their style at home it will take hours. Curries are legit. Again flavorful and you pick the heat. Great joint. contemporary thai good service decent food decent portions chicken satay - best chicken satay i've ever had at a restaurant. peanut sauce was good too. thai style wings - typical unbreaded fried chicken. nothing special, but we didnt try the sauce. beef larb - beef was cut into slices. it's typically prepared minced to allow more surface area to hold seasoning. flavor was ok. it was less heavy on herb flavors than i'm accustomed to with this dish. rib fried rice - it was good, but it wasn't anything special. just tasted like fried rice pad kee mao - a little overcooked. noodles were soggy but flavor was decent. spiked thai tea - good but weak. the alcohol helped cut the usual sweetness of thai tea thai-rish ice coffee - not a fan. maybe we had a bad one, but it tasted very watery. we try to be careful when ordering spicy from thai, because "spicy" is toilet-destruction-level at some restaurants. spice levels were very low. we had medium spice fried rice and couldnt detect any heat. portions on the fried rice and pad kee mao are somewhat small. flavors were good. read more

Was sorely disappointed but after reading others reviews, it all makes sense--there was not anything wrong with my taste buds, it was just that, maybe not enough care in the kitchen. I have actually never had bad Thai food ever. How can you mess up Pad Thai? Not the case here:((( It was a slopping liquid mess of sauce overflowing and spilling over into everything--was not bagged properly for takeout. We picked it up fresh ourselves waiting 12-15 minutes, hungry and eager to eat. The flavor was a strange combo. I would call this dish basically chicken with soy sauce, chunks of chicken w soy sauce served hot. I thought ok, one fluke, but no so...it got even worse with our Papaya Salad, never actually had a bad Thai salad either :(. The more I ate, the more sad I became. It was drowned in waaaay too much fish sauce. It was just really chewy as well and my jaw became really tired from eating this overly sour, (had it gone bad!??) dish. The topping on the cake is we decided to toss almost all our leftovers (which was basically 75% of the meal), as none of our starving fam members could stomach the food, which was just bad. Took a little bit for the server to come the table but she was apologetic and comped our drinks - which she didn't have to at all. When you're in the Fremont Downtown area, Le Thai has the best Happy Hour from 3-6pm Monday thru Friday! And the best thing is that their HH menu includes several of their most popular menu items and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Their Waterfall Beef with sticky rice is a saucy, savory delight. But our favorite is their Pork Jerky with sticky rice. While the pork jerky might look dry, it's actually quite juicy and flavorful. And Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee for $2?!! Yes, please! Their in house seasoned and roasted peanuts are also very addictive. A small bowl of peanuts is complimentary and not listed on the menu but we asked if we could buy some togo and they sold us several small tubs for $5 each. We were starving after visiting the mob museum so we stopped here for a quick bite on Fremont Street. There was over an hour wait to get in side, but there were open tables on the patio, which makes sense since it was 112° outside. If you sit outside, you have to order at the to go window. We asked them if they could plate it on regular plates since we were eating it there but they said it would have to be in to go containers. This was a little irritating as we ordered appetizers and wanted to eat them first and it all came out at the same time. But it was better than waiting an hour to be seated. Took about 20 mins to get the food. While we waited we watched seats sit open at the bar and wondered why we couldn't be seated there instead. All that being said, the food made up for the frustrating service. We ordered the pork belly appetizer, and it was definitely crispy and delicious. I had the short rib fried rice and was blown away by the flavor and the portion size. My buddy had the Penang curry and it was equally as impressive. Some of the best overall Thai food I have experienced plus we got to enjoy eating it while watching the weirdos on Fremont Street. You know it's a good Thai restaurant when the pad see ewe AND pad thai are good. The pad thai didn't taste overwhelmingly sweet. Rather, you can taste the essence of the peanut oil without biting into peanuts. The dish was savory and filling. The main noodle dishes were great, and the items on the menu looked authentic. Trusting all the dishes would taste amazing, we went with the chef's daily specials. We had beef skewers (I forgot to take a picture - sorry) that were well made. It had very crispy exteriors and a surprisingly juicy interior. Seasoning was left to the customer so you can make it sweater/saltier. Then the bbq pork fried rice was also delightful. My friend and I thought the pork chunks could have been slightly smaller to make each spoonful flavorful, but we were in such a good mood, we didn't care too much. And the other stuff. Interior is dimly lit, so it looks romantic. If you're not into that, there's also a bar available. The store is ideal for groups of 2 or 4, but the staff accommodates for groups of 6. I came here due to the sheer amount of highly rating stars and ended up disappointed. To be brutally honest, there were no other asians when I sat down in the packed restaurant. This place is so cute! It has a great location - right near Fremont where all the concerts and excitement is. The restaurant itself is pretty small and has limited seating, so be sure to make a reservation! The waitlist will be very long. I think on a Friday night, the estimated wait was 1.5 hours. Luckily, we had a reservation but still had to wait about 10 minutes. The service was phenomenal! I wish I could remember our server's name, but he was so nice. My friends and I all enjoyed the food, and it was a great value and reasonably priced. We got the 3 color curry, the eggplant stir fry, and the pad thai -- all vegetarian style. All the dishes were so yummy. I definitely want to come back and try their other dishes. Their blueberry mojito was so good! I like my drinks sweeter, and the bartender was super nice & added syrup for me! It tasted so good, I got a second! At the end of the night, the staff brought out a roti for us on the house because it was my birthday. We really appreciated this cute gesture! A friend and I checked out this place, and I was a little skeptical. My initial thoughts was that it was only going to be your typical restaurant downtown - good for late night drunchies. However, we checked it out, *sober.* My preconceived notions were proven wrong! We sat at the bar, which we didn't mind.
