Evelyn was a breath of fresh air. So helpful, smiling the whole time she was taking our orders. She went out of her way to explain the menu and how things worked. I felt like the red carpet was laid out for us. She also mentioned she was from another location but happened to be working here that day. I ordered the lemon-caper salmon plate. I added avocado and because they didn't have any shallots, I topped the plate with some almonds. The almonds were good and so was my plate! They focus on local ingredients and make many of their items from scratch. I especially like the quinoa and brown rice combo. And the yogurt sauce brought everything together. read more

It's like your typical fast casual salad place, where you can choose from a salad bowl or grain bowl, and they prepare it in front of you. They have sandwiches, soups and regular plates too. After hearing great things about this location , I decided to pop in, and I'm glad I did. The new location feels like just that, shiny nearly untouched decor, clean floors and countertops, and new...well everything. I cannot speak to the dine in experience as I took my meal to go, but I can say, my meal was ready on time, packaged perfectly (bonus points for wrapping the soup and including the croutons in a separate sealed container.), and temperature was def considered when packaging! The team was super friendly, and everything tasted great. I highly recommend the lemon-caper salmon. It comes with super fresh green beans, and even without the lemon-caper yogurt sauce is well seasoned. The sauce is the cherry on top of an already solid, texturally explorative dish! If you're into tomato soup, theirs is pretty solid. It's not puréed to death and hits that sweet spot between acidic and cozy. Additionally, if you prefer a green smoothie to go, they'll keep it in the fridge for you. While mine could have used some additional time in the blender, it was otherwise really solid. All and all I was out about $30 for this meal, which I'd say fall on the expensive side of upper tier fast casual, but my meal was good, and I'd def consider returning to treat myself every now and then in the future. read more

Absolutely LOVE Leaf & Grain and this new location is just as amazing as the others! It's such a great place to grab a healthy lunch or dinner - I'm obsessed with the Good Greek bowl. It's supposed to come with chicken, but since I'm vegetarian they always allow me to swap the chicken with tofu at no additional charge. Love that! Also, the tofu is flavorful which isn't always the case at other places, so that's something else I really enjoy about Leaf & Grain. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which is also much appreciated! They are always good about asking if I want the dressing mixed in or on the side as well as how heavy of dressing I want. So excited to see a new location pop up! Leaf & Grain has such a wonderful variety of fresh, healthy meals. Everything I have had here has been awesome; happy to have another spot to visit! Today I tried the Fairway sandwich and I loved it! They have a really good sourdough bread that they use, which I believe is supplied by a local bread company. I also had the tortilla soup, which was delicious and loaded with fresh avocado - my favorite! Our family just visited the new Tanglewood location and the salads, the kids grilled cheese and the smoothie did not disappoint. My son had the Caesar, he had the best croutons and Parmesan. The unbelievable happened to me a few minutes ago. I feel violated. I have been going to Leaf & Grain in Tanglewood for about a week straight. The service and salads have been good. Today I ordered a salad. After seeing the charge on the screen I thought it was higher than normal (I order the same custom salad each time). I went ahead and left a $2.00 tip and headed to an outdoor table to eat. I looked at my other recent charges from Leaf & Grain and they were, in fact, less than today's bill. After eating half of my salad I went inside to grab a carry out bag to take home. While inside, I told the employee that prepared the salad that I think I was overcharged, but it could be due to a food price increase. He told me that I added cauliflower which is extra. I told him that I did not order cauliflower. He pointed through the clear plastic lid and said "see that yellow. That's cauliflower." I said "no it's not, I only have Brussels sprouts." He quickly put on clear plastic gloves like he was a surgeon in a hurry and pulled the lid off. Then he (literally and seriously), put his fingers in the salad and proceeded to dig for cauliflower. He did not find any and asked "Did you eat it?" Never in my life have I been accused of stealing a small scoop of cauliflower from a salad buffet line. Also, the fact that he did not think that I know what cauliflower is or how it looks is beyond belittling. I graduated from both elementary school and graduate school. I am pretty sure that I was served cauliflower in the cafeteria at some point during elementary, middle, high school, undergrad, and grad school. I asked that the half eaten salad be thrown away. It had been searched and physically touched like TSA often does to travelers. It felt like my salad had been molested. Can you imaging some guy putting on gloves and probing your food looking for bits of cauliflower? One of the managers on duty refunded the full amount and asked "Do you want me to make you another salad?" Absolutely not. Today was my final day eating at Leaf & Grain. I fear going inside, being overcharged, interrogated, and my salad being violated by some guy's fingers. Back to Sweetgreen I go. read more

When I think fresh, fast and inspired, without compromise, this is my go-to place. The few bowls I have tried are really good combinations of flavorful and seasonal ingredients that are truly enjoyable and need I say, healthy! My wife and some of her friends really love it and have me hooked now as well. After a workout today, I came in for lunch and tried a veggie boost bowl with chicken and asked for no carbs and was given a few good choices as carb substitutes, all topped with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. It was very fresh and really hit the spot. Otherwise, the restaurant is nicely laid out and well kept and the servers behind the counter were attentive. And placed on the formica table. No plates were available. How to make a placemat of the flimsy one ply tiny napkins All utensils were plastic, no metal They have no fresh brew iced tea I was eating at 7:35 PM, and the staff was aggressively cleaning the kitchen banging pots and dropping things. Not very appetizing and the place does not even close till 8 o'clock. What is my second time to attempt to eat there. The last time on a Saturday night got there at 7:55 only to be told they close at eight. Way too early on the weekends. They serve no beer or wine. Apparently the village store had it and it didn't sell very well so Tanglewood has to be dry. Needless to say, I will not be returning read more
