Brassica, brassica, brassica, what else can I say about you that I haven't already said? I was SO happy to hear that they were expanding outside of OH and of all places, happened to be in Houston. This is a fast casual spot that serves amazing, fresh, and tasty Mediterranean food. The staff at this location were super welcoming and friendly and again, I'm just so glad they're only a drive away rather than a flight. Foodwise, you can choose from a pita sandwich, hummus bowl, or salad bowl and can add proteins like falafel, chicken, or brisket. You fill up your vessel of choice with various veggies, grains, etc. along with choices of sauces (everything tastes great and I have not been let down). I do think the Texas location uses beef for the brisket instead of lamb (but maybe that's also changed at the Columbus locations I used to visit). Their fries are also very crisp and come with seasoning and a dipping sauce and is a perfect side to go with any of their entree options. They also have their inhouse brassarita which is their play on a margarita and is great if you want a nice, frozen beverage or you can go for their mint pink lemonade. I do wish Brassica were closer to me but maybe its good it isnt as I'd likely be eating it too often. However, I do highly recommend folks to come out and try it. Though now that we have a Brassica in Houston, maybe North Star can be next?

Wow! This restaurant is gorgeous and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The set up is like a high end Chipotle, and you get to choose between a sandwich, hummus or salad base. You also get to choose what kind of protein you want. I ordered the salad with falafel and I was able to decide which toppings I wanted. Everything was beautifully presented and there is quite a bit of variety of toppings that you can choose from. I also ordered French fries because they looked yummy and they did not disappoint. My salad was perfectly seasoned and I really appreciated that each ingredient was expertly cooked and seasoned which made the bowl super tasty and craveable. Everything component was super fresh and high quality and I felt really good after finishing most of my bowl. My diagnosis: come here for delicious Mediterranean food that is expertly cooked and presented beautifully!

I took my mom here for an early dinner and she loved it! They had an Earth Day special so I'm glad we decide to stop by today. Service was excellent today. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. There was a line but it moved fast. Just like last time, the ingredients were fresh and delicious and the organic pita was so fluffy and goooooood.. I really like the design of the space. It's very spacious and elegant for a fast-casual concept. Love it! I hope they open a location in Katy or Richmond soon. Fingers crossed. I ordered the Falafel sandwich, Pink lemonade, and Tahini chocolate cookie. Everything was delicious. It filled me up but did not make me feel heavy or bloated. Both the lemonade and cookie were not overly sweet. I will definitely be a regular here. Brassica gets extra points for using eco-friendly cups and utensils. I truly appreciate the effort in keeping us and Mother Earth healthier. Thank you for supporting and celebrating Earth Day!

I was looking for something to eat. I did a search on Yelp to find something close and this popped up as New. I read the menu. I was intrigued. I stopped in this gives elevated cava vibes. Yesss They serve wines and they have frozen drinks. They also have sparkling water at the soda machine, which was a nice surprise that I enjoyed. They have two meats that you can top brisket or chicken. I was undecided. They let me do a mix that was good. They've only been open for 1-2 weeks so everyone in the line had questions, including myself. This staff was very helpful and accommodating. You can get either a wrap a salad and they have a good amount of toppings to choose from the salad is more cabbage and kale based the dressings were really good. Hot sauce was also good. Next Whole Foods or TJ run I'm in there. It's right next store and across the street from both.

I have never heard of this place so we went to a workout class next-door and found this cute little Mediterranean spot. The options were limited they have hummus and bubble ganache. Super healthy and fresh for sure they give you options of rice and salad salads, and the main Mediterranean toppings like pickled onions and cucumbers. They had carrots and different veggies, very healthy and fresh Parking is free upfront you order your food and you pay for it and then sit down.

I stopped by after completing my Whole Foods run! Behind the trees I saw Brassica! I heard about this place in an email and so today was the day to try it. My order: Pita Chicken Sandwich with everything Fries Mint lemonade Mint lemonade w/alcohol The place was clean and not what I was going to expect...you get to choose your items and actually see them as you walk down the counter line Although I did not get the brisket it looked really good. The pita is made in house My sandwich was so good we went back for more. That mint lemonade with and without the alcohol was also good. They do give you the option to take it home if you are not eating there. I really liked the sauce options Presentation is a 5 as well for the food. Sanjay provided excellent service. This is an absolute must 5 stars!

I've been coming here a couple times to try different combinations of their food and today I went with the chicken salad with all the works, and it was super filling. The hummus, chicken, and fresh veggies all went really well together and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The employees were also really nice and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Definitely recommend the chicken salad if you go!

Brassica is now in Houston! Hailing from the state of Ohio, Brassica actually has several locations but this is the first outside of OH borders. The fast-casual sit down and takeout restaurant has customizable salads, sandwiches, and humus bowls made from healthy ingredients that are mostly vegetable focused. Think falafel, pickled cucumbers, beets, roasted carrots, eggplant, and of course the dips and sauces. For those that are caught in the protein craze, don't worry, they have meat options too. I opted for a salad bowl with falafel and got almost all of the veggie toppings. I don't eat meat or dairy so I was pleased to see so many tasty options that fit within my dietary preferences. The bowl was delicious. I would absolutely get this again. Speaking of dairy free, it's pretty hard for me to find desserts that fit for my diet so I was THRILLED to see that they had huge chocolatey chip cookies with sea salt on top that are vegan. Umm, YES PLEASE! Finally, it's worth noting that the service was really top notch. There were multiple employees helping with food preparation, checkout, cleaning, and checking on customers and everyone was so friendly and really made me feel comfortable and welcome. I was already convinced that I like Brassica from the food but this made the experience that much better. Already looking forward to coming back!

Brassica is a new Mediterranean chain in the memorial area that's basically an upscale chipotle. They give out free entrees on earth day every year so I had to take advantage of this deal. You get a choice of a pita sandwich, salad, or hummus plate. You then decide if you want a hummus or baba (smoked eggplant) sauce base I got a pita sandwich with baba and crispy onions. I got it half and half with the falafel and chicken. They also have brisket and vegetables available. I topped it off with some sweet beets, pickled cabbage, roasted carrots, marinated eggplant, and special sauce and feta cheese. I honestly didn't expect them to pack the sandwich this much but it was so huge. This sandwich was pretty insane flavor wise. I LOVED all of the veggies and pickled veggies, they brought out a whole new dimension of flavor and complimented everything well. I also really liked the falafel. Usually they are too dry but this one was fine. The chicken was a bit dry though, I wouldn't get that again. The only qualm I have about this sandwich is that it feels like you're eating everything in layers instead of it actually being spread out, but it still tasted really good

Brassica never misses! Fresh, flavorful, and fast every single time. But let's talk about those crispy onions... WOW. Absolute game changer. They add the perfect crunch and flavor that takes everything to the next level. The ambiance is clean, modern, and welcoming. Perfect whether you're grabbing a quick bite or sitting down to enjoy your meal. Great service, amazing ingredients, and consistently delicious. If you haven't been, you're missing

Only their second day open and already off to a solid start! Delicious cuisine, comfortable portion sizes, and friendly staff. Just wish we had more yummy grains on our hummus plate :P Will definitely be returning!

A new Mediterranean fast casual has opening up in Houston. They really give you a good amount of food for your money. I ordered the sandwich with the chicken and you can add all of the vegetable they over and I ask the staff who was making the sandwich for me that I was everything and he was about to put all of the vegetables on my sandwich, it made it harder to eat my sandwich with one bite, so I have to fork down some of the food then I can try the pita bread that was holding my food. You will get your money worth here. They were very fast also. Do not skip the Minty Pink Lemonade, you gave refilled and it's not overly sweet. I was with a friend but one of the staff member Riley went out of her way to help me to bring my tray to our table due to my disability it is hard for me to carry it safely. Later on, I was waiting for my bus to pick me up, and I was sitting on the patio and she came out to check on me to make sure I am OK. Thank you Riley for your outstanding service.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
