There can be a long wait. We were #14 on the list when we arrived. No paper menu, you need to order on the phone. I wanted to talk to the waiter for recommendations before I ordered if I come to the place for the first time. We enjoyed all the dishes we got, though all of them are pretty salty. The pickled beef with fresh ginger was excellent. I enjoyed the layers of flavors with different veggies in it. 鱼香肉丝 is one of the best I've ever had. Beef in chili sauce BBQ is great too, though a bit too salty to my taste. Overall a great place for Sichuan food. I wish the wait can be shorter.

I went by this week. I ordered cauliflower, which tasted great. The eggplant was excellent! Also, one of my favorites was the cucumber spicy salad!!! This restaurant offers barbecue food and other delicacies. The food was overall very good, and we got our orders very quickly. I noticed they have private room too. We ordered chicken skewers, fried rice and fried cauliflower. The service were lovely. We will come back soon.

One of the best Sichuan cuisine and Chinese BBQ I've ever had in GTA. Serving is a little bit slow. Ambiance is good for friends gathering.

Sadly there was no chair for her to sit down on yet it didn't stop her from going to her regular spot for a Sunday brunch. She told me that she has been coming here for many years, even before it was called Sammy's. Has it been 30 years, she asked herself? Either way, she made it known that she is quite the regular. Very nice and friendly lady. These are the types of regulars that make the diner what it is. There is a sign in clipboard at the front, as soon as you walk in. You have to sign in as part of contact tracing in case there is an outbreak of COVID linked back to this establishment. Make sure you do not block the pathway from behind the bar, I didn't block it but a large family with several kids needed a place to stand in line and wait for a big table, because servers will get very mad at you and tell you "I NEED TO GET BY! DON'T BLOCK THE WAY!" But there is no where to stand when the lineup is 20 people deep. This is something to think about once the weather gets colder and there is a long lineup out the door. Perhaps takeout would be a better option than to be yelled at by the short haired waitress with tattoos? While I did not mind waiting and I had a book to occupy my time in the lineup and at the table before I was given the menu, I could see that this was obviously a rush time, prime time lunchtime at the diner, maybe others might be a little more impatient than me? I could watch a snail crawl for hours, patience is a virtue. The wait is very long to get seated and even longer to get food. While the food was pretty good, and the other server was very friendly, attentive and nice, I think they were short staffed that day and nothing is ever as instant as fast food. My advice would be to go here when you have the time to wait. Don't come here if you are in a rush. It's better to only come here when you have lots of time to wait.

I love the look of an old school diner. The only negative was when we had bacon it tasted very soapy which we realized later. Maybe someone that was handling it didn't wash off the soap on their hands? Not sure but was not edible. The eggs Benedict eggs could be a little more runny. But their sausage is the absolute best. I am obsessed. Soo good. And my son loves the blueberry pancakes. Overall great for young families!

I remember passing by Bunchberry Diner a few months back. I had never been there. It was time to check it out. This diner used to be Mercury Diner. It's nice that the diner tradition continues here. There was plenty of parking when I got here at 3 pm. I backed into a parking spot and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a female staffer. She asked if I was picking up takeout. Nope, I wanted the dine-in experience. She led me to a booth, which was comfortable. There were so many items on the menu that I wanted to try. This place serves breakfast till 4 pm. My server was Parmida, who was sweet and competent. I ordered these items: - Chef's morning breakfast - Diet Coke The Diet Coke was fizzy and cold. I got drink refills. It was perfect. For the chef's morning breakfast, I got my eggs over-easy. I chose sausage links and whole wheat toast. It came with home fries. I got peanut butter, jelly, and jam in preparation for my meal. It didn't take long for my food to arrive. The weird thing was that this table did not have any ketchup, but all tables around me had a bottle. I had to wait a bit for Parmida to return, so I could ask for ketchup. She apologized. She told me that she normally doesn't work this side of the diner. She immediately went to fetch a bottle of French's ketchup. Yep, this diner supports Canadian. I loved my over-easy eggs. I got three perfectly runny eggs. I smeared raspberry jam on my toast and sopped up the yolky goodness with it. I got three sausage links. They were yummy. I liked having them with ketchup. The home fries were the perfect portion. They were crispy and delicious, especially with ketchup. Prices are decent here for the portions that you get. My meal was $20 after taxes. You have the option of paying with a QR code on the bill or using the payment machine. I went with the latter and tipped with my credit card. I used the washroom before I left. It's on the right side of the eatery when you walk in. It was clean. No issues. I saw the dessert display before I left. This section was closed for dining. The desserts on plates rotated in this display. It was cool to see. It was great dining here. I'm return for more good eats. (252)

We had the soy sauce wok fried chicken rice noodle, which is what I usually love. They had just barely enough wok hay. They use chicken leg meat and not chicken breast slices, so there isn't a lot of meat but the taste was decent. The duck tasted ok, but the flavour was a little mild (and I have a very simple palate). It was ok. The skin was excellent though! The YC fried was huge. Overall good taste, but the BBQ pork was a tad too sweet for me. I prefer Auric King's BBQ pork instead. The guy server was super nice and attentive. He asked for feedback and suggestions. We suggested an "all day meal" menu like the traditional hk cafe. The vibe is very 80s Hong Kong style. Very aesthetic, like Garden Cafe, who also does the same style. Check out my interior pics to see! Tables and bowls are a little sticky though lol. Overall, I might come back when they have an all day menu. I see most people ordering noodles, probably because the portions aren't as massive. As of right now, they have the white menu for non members, which is BOGO half off. Also, $30 for lifetime VIP.

We were then told that the business will be going through a rebrand with a new name and new menu offerings. For the moment the only thing that has changed is the menu. The exterior and interior is exactly the same. Flavours are still good with decent portions. We were checked on several times so service was good. What was a miss was how the food came out of the kitchen. Food came out sporadically with the last dish a full 10 minutes after the first leaving that person sitting and waiting while everyone else ate. This is still a very popular place. There were long waits for the food, which for a party of four did not all come together. It was also probably sitting in the kitchen. If we were to give the place, another chance we would wanna mention to the servers right at the start the experience we had the last time and to make sure none of these issues were to arise again. The ambiance would've been better if it wasn't so noisy and that's without full tables nearby. Parking in the plaza is very difficult, anď time consuming.
