We had the best time at Lee's Cafe! Took our kids for a New Year's Eve dinner and the reviews did not disappoint. We got there early and the place was already packed with folks ordering take out, as well as starting to sit for dinner. The service was not impacted whatsoever. We ordered appetizers of edamame, miso soup, and crab Rangoon which all came out quickly and was delicious. The kids easily split the sweet and sour chicken and chicken lo mein which is their absolute favorite. My husband ordered the super boost roll and said it was incredible. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was also perfectly done. We were all stuffed, and my kids are already begging us to come back again soon. We will certainly be back again soon to try something else since the menu has so many options.

Lee Cafe is, without a doubt, the best and most authentic Chinese restaurant near Charlotte! Every time I crave flavors that remind me of home, I'm more than willing to make the drive to South Carolina for it--it's that good. Their menu is full of incredible options, but I highly recommend the intestines, spicy fish, and cold beef filet. Each dish is packed with bold, authentic flavors that are hard to find anywhere else. If you're searching for truly authentic Chinese food and don't mind a bit of a drive, Lee Cafe is absolutely worth the trip. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves real, home-style Chinese cuisine!

Tucked away in a plaza in Fort Mill. This place been around for quite some time. Finally I get to dine in on a Sunday. I walked in and the place is pack. I wasn't sure if I was at the right place. Stand there for a good 15 mins before we have a place to sit down.. Now my friend is Chinese soo she order soo much food, mostly spicy ones.. I order the Beef Chow Fun and the garlic bok choy. Both are my go too and very good. Service is fine. They're busy so I wouldn't say they are attentive. They do what they can. And the ambiance is very chill. Laid back and definitely nothing fancy. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food.. This is the place since they have a separate menu for that instead of the usual fried rice and egg foo young. They also accept large orders. I have 10 lobsters ordered before for my party. Check them out

First and foremost I never ever give 5 stars to any places/restaurant's, but this GEM is one of the best Chinese places I ever eating since China town in NYC. Service was on point, food was amazing. Price you can't beat from normal Chinese places. I wished this place was close to me but as usual it's not. lol.

Get the spicy fish and veggies, also don't be afraid to try the intestines! Flavors are absolutely delish, not 100% big city quality but one of the best locations in charlotte.

I think this might be the best Chinese restaurant in the greater Charlotte area. I know that it's about 20 minutes away from Charlotte, but trust me when I say that it's worth the drive. This hidden gem is a haven for food lovers seeking a taste of authentic Chinese food . From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the delicious smell of dishes that transport you straight to the vibrant streets of Asia. From mouthwatering noodle bowls to delectable stir-fries and savory dumplings, each bite is a symphony of flavors. Lee Cafe has a diverse menu that caters to all taste preferences! So if you're ready to impress your taste buds and embark on a flavorful adventure, make your way to Lee Cafe in Fort Mill. Indulge in the richness of Asian cuisine and create memories that will linger long after the last bite. WHAT WE ORDERED: -Spicy Fish & Veggies: This dish combines fried fish and a variety of fresh, crisp vegetables, all bathed in a spicy sauce. -Spicy Twice Cooked Pork: Slices of pork belly are cooked not once, but twice, to achieve maximum tenderness and flavor. -Lobster Fried Rice: Indulge in the luxurious taste of lobster combined with the comforting goodness of fried rice. Diced lobster meat is seamlessly integrated into the fried rice, infusing it with a delectable seafood essence. FOLLOW @zackaryeats on Instagram/Tiktok for more foodie finds

If you are looking for good Americanized Chinese restaurant, this will not be the place for you. Go to Baoding at Southpark or other Chinese restaurant for your beef and broccoli or favorite fried rice. This is the place you go if you are looking for some authentic Cantonese Chinese dishes that are not served elsewhere such as stir fry snow pea tips or braised pork belly. Service here reminded me so much of typical Chinatown restaurants LOL! , again very authentic so expect curt and indifference. I wish this place was close to my house so I can get takeout.

Being from California, we did not think our sushi standards could be topped, but this place completely proved us wrong. Some of our favorites were the salmon belly, the red snapper sampler, the yellowtail, and the slam on hand rolls. Everything was incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. We also loved that they had Echigo beer, which is not easy to find and was a great addition to the meal. One thing that really stood out was how well balanced everything was. Nothing felt overwhelming or heavy, and every dish felt thoughtfully put together. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with any of the rolls here. I could not recommend this place more. An amazing experience from start to finish.

It had a Michelin 2025 sticker on the front door so I thought it would be amazing. I want to say that the service was excellent. Very attentive servers, very professional, very friendly. The service was 5-stars for sure. Next, the food. We started with the miso soup and ginger salad. Miso soup was bland and the ginger dressing on the salad was super bland. We ordered the crispy spicy tuna and the steamed shumai next. The crispy spicy tuna was weird. The first taste bud stimuli was fishy and the last thing you tasted was McDonald's hashbrowns. Also, the chopsticks were very cheap and when you picked up the piece it basically fell apart. The presentation for the steamed shumai was horrible. It was served in a bowl with the chili garlic sauce in a tiny bowl on the side. The pieces were wayyy too big to pick up with the chopsticks and for the mouth. But if you managed to get the thing in your mouth, it was super hot and basically burned your mouth. Like there was no option to take a bite it was either shove the whole thing in your mouth or not eat it at all. The rolls we ordered were the Mr Crabby, which was the only good thing we ordered. The Naruto, which had too many layers of cucumber wrapped around it and the pieces were mini. The villain, a $25 roll with caviar on top, but the caviar was so sparse, it could barely be seen with the naked eye. Rainbow roll was ok but again, the pieces were tiny. Every roll was flavorless and the price point was stupid. $122 plus tip for a bland lunch was retarded. Super disappointed.

I also liked how loud the overhead music was...but sadly, it was elevator music. Very dated. If it was something a bit more contemporary (metro lounge?), it would have been way nicer. Now, the food! I ordered their Doza Ramen, which looked spicy from the pictures...but I ended up with a very mild broth, with hardly any red chile sauce or spice to it at all. I even asked if they can add more chili and/or spice to it, and the waitress basically said that's not possible (What?!? Of course you can!!). Anyway, she said I can add Siracha sauce. (???) Guess she assumed this was the first time I had ramen lol?!? The Pork Chashu was nice and tender, but very small portion...and a tiny portion of ground pork (of beef?) and mushroom as well. Just skimpy toppings all around...yet this bowl was priced 18 bucks. I also hated how they didn't even bother to split open the egg. Also, I wasn't a fan of their super-thin noodles either. Just look at how unappetizing this bowl looked! So basically, this ramen struck out on several accounts. Possibly the weakest ramen I've had in a restaurant in years?? I managed to down at least one third of it though. Then this Sampler Tempura. While the portion of plentiful, I thought the batter was weak...and well, some of the veggie tempura just tasted BAD. Especially the Brussel Sprouts (which I normally love) had this sour taste to it? I was also disappointed that they didn't include Broccoli in the mix. I was only able to eat half of this. Just not that good. I just can't sugarcoat it. I was not into their ramen or this sampler tempura. Both too mild...very bland. Also...they charge you an additional dollar if you use credit card. Something I don't recall seeing on the menu. Given such high ratings from Yelp, I had high hopes for this place...but I left scratching my head. I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

I had celebrated there the year before and had such a wonderful experience, so I was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately, this visit fell very short of our previous experience. The atmosphere upstairs on such a beautiful evening was lovely, and I appreciated being seated there. However, the service throughout the night was extremely disappointing. There appeared to be only two bartenders also handling serving duties, and from the moment we arrived, we felt poorly greeted. Our waitress never introduced herself, offered drink recommendations, or created much of a welcoming experience at all. It took at least 10 minutes just to receive water for the table, and much longer for cocktails. Service felt very disorganized throughout the evening. When food arrived, dishes were essentially auctioned off at the table as though no one knew who had ordered what. One guest in our party didn't even receive her appetizer until after her entrée had already arrived. What made the experience more disappointing was how different it felt from our visit the previous year. At that time, our server was energetic, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely engaging. He asked what we were celebrating and even brought out a complimentary dessert for the table to share, which made the night feel special and memorable. I understand restaurants can have off nights, especially with large parties, but this experience lacked the level of hospitality and organization we had previously enjoyed and expected.

Still, overall the food itself was enjoyable, and the view from the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, the service left a very disappointing impression. Since gratuity is automatically included in the bill, it honestly felt like there was very little interest in treating guests with care or attention. The overall atmosphere from the staff made us feel less like welcomed guests and more like people they wanted to serve as quickly as possible and move out. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and I politely asked our server if it would be possible to move us to another table if one became available. I completely understand that on a busy Saturday evening nothing can be guaranteed, and I was never asking anyone to be rushed out or removed from their table. However, there were several opportunities where it realistically could have happened. The first couple of times, the available tables were assigned to other servers, and it seemed like our waiter simply did not want to transfer us because another server would then take over the table. Later on, he told us twice that he would try to move us, but nothing ever happened. At that point in the evening there were no reservations left, only walk-ins, and all it would have taken was a quick conversation with the hostess asking her not to immediately seat the next guests at the newly available table so we could move there instead. I understand many people celebrate birthdays, and I know restaurants get busy, especially on weekends. But considering we made a reservation and politely asked in advance, it really felt like no effort was made at all. The issue was not that they could not accommodate us -- it was that nobody seemed to care enough to even try.
