I've lived here since Nov. 2025. Great apartments, bad policies. The hot tub and pool are great, until you get rudely kicked out by overzealous security people at 10pm. The residents pay luxury prices to live here but are treated like a problem vs a resident. Pool/ hot tub should be open till midnight, not 10pm. Security personnel should be friendly, instead they are aggressive and treat you like it's an emergency evacuation. They've ruined the fun perks of living here. read more

Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish I moved into Legacy at Livermore in July 2023 and was one of the first residents in the building. I actually found the property through a Google search while living overseas, which could have been stressful, but the leasing team made it incredibly easy. Diane was my first point of contact and she was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable, responsive, and went above and beyond by taking a video of the exact apartment I was interested in. That level of care and transparency immediately gave me confidence in my decision. Shortly after moving in, I had two vehicles delivered while I was out of state in Texas picking up my dog. Faye stepped in without hesitation, received both vehicles, and parked them safely, one of them being a stick shift, which deserves extra appreciation. That kind of support is rare and speaks volumes about the team. The property itself is easily the nicest place to live in the Tri-Valley. The downtown Livermore location is unbeatable, the amenities are top-tier, and the apartments are modern and well maintained. Diane and Faye were always quick to respond whenever I had questions, Todd (the property manager) was outstanding, and the maintenance team was consistently professional and efficient. Pros: * Prime downtown location * Excellent amenities * New, modern apartments * Responsive and caring management team Cons: * Some residents not picking up after their dogs * Occasional garage gate damage caused by residents (Neither of these are management issues--just a matter of resident accountability.) Both my move in and move out processes were smooth and stress free. I received my refund promptly, minus the standard cleaning fee for the professional crew used to ensure everything was done properly. If you're looking for a newer apartment, great location, safety, and peace of mind, I absolutely recommend Legacy at Livermore. read more

I've had a great experience living for a year now at Legacy at Livermore Apartments! The community is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and feels truly welcoming from the moment you arrive. The apartments are spacious and modern, with high-quality finishes and thoughtful layouts that make it feel like home. The amenities are a huge plus -- the pool and lounge areas are always clean and relaxing, and the fitness center is well-equipped for daily workouts. There's also plenty of greenery and open space, which adds to the overall charm of the property. The management team Diane and Fe, and the maintenance teams are all professional, friendly, and very responsive. Any questions or service requests I've had were handled quickly and with care, which really adds to the overall positive experience. Location-wise, Legacy is perfectly situated near downtown Livermore, close to great dining, shopping, and wineries -- plus it's just minutes from the freeway, making commuting easy. Update August 2025: It has been two months since I left my original review, and I'm happy to report that it seems our concerns have finally been heard. The safety issues have been addressed, maintenance requests are now completed with impressive speed and efficiency, and communication has taken a noticeable turn for the better. I truly appreciate that management appears committed to improving the resident experience. No place will ever be perfect--and that's not my expectation--but given the high prices, what I do expect is clear communication and timely maintenance of the communal spaces that were originally key selling points of the building. There are very few decisions I make that go well for me, but deciding to move to Legacy in Livermore is one that's in the positive column. First off, the apartment is the nicest I've ever rented. Modern amenities, brand new appliances, clean from ceiling to floors upon move in. I don't hear my neighbors at all and I'm living on the third floor so I have people above and below me. Every neighbor I've met so far has been so sweet and welcoming. Lots of young people here which I love because I'm old, but young at heart so I don't want to look at people like myself! Situated smack in the middle of Main Street so you have restaurants, bars, grocery stores and movie theatre's literally right out your front door! The bldg is tight as far as security. You need a fob or phone app to get into this place or you're out of luck. Everyone picks up after their doggies. The staff from porters to management (shout out to Thy for being amazing) are all wonderful. Always a smile and a hello from the staff when you pass them. Such a great change from living In the last apartment community I just left. Good riddance. I'm happier than ever living here and can't wait to enjoy the roof top pool as soon as I'm done unpacking! read more

Great place to live! We enjoy the downtown restaurants and shops. On Thursdays and Sundays we stock up on vegetables at the Farmers market. Management has been extremely helpful, welcoming and supportive towards our community. Have enjoyed the amenities for studying, lounging and working out. The 24 hr fitness center has state-of-art equipment and can provide a great pump. The rooftop view is perfect for bbq and catching sunsets. Our apartment has a double vanity, walk-in closet, WiFi washer/dryer, and the AC is PERFECT. Additionally, have enjoyed the trash valet. I admit I was reluctant to move into an apartment after decades of single family house living. But I'm so glad I decided to live here. The apartment is so very modern, the rooms are spacious and bright, and there is so much storage. It's not like any apartment I've ever lived in. The staff are so responsive, friendly and helpful. The amenities (which are not quite ready yet) look fantastic - a well equipped 24/7 gym, a rooftop pool and jacuzzi, and abundant "common" areas inside and outside. I am so happy to be able to park in the garage for safety. I can't wait for the ground level of building A (facing First Street) to be occupied by local businesses. I can walk to everything downtown. Oh - and valet trash picked up every evening outside my door. Loving it! read more

SInce posting my last review, Legacy management has responded and there have been many improvements so I am happy to update this review. All the doors/security issues were resolved, which was of primary importance for me. The building is secure and the communal areas, stairwells, garage, corridors are all well-maintained. There were some changes in the maintenance team and the current team is outstanding. The windows were also cleaned! I want to credit the management team for their response. I think, generally, we have a strong community in the building and our complaints came from a place of frustration because we all like living here but needed some changes. It's a great group of people and I include management in this statement. We got the changes ! So why live here? It is by far the best choice for apartments in Livermore. The amenities alone are better than anything I have seen in the Dublin/Pleasanton/Livermore housing corridor and are on a par with the luxury buildings in SF. So, while Legacy is pricey for the area, it's still cheaper than SF and you pay for the package - apartment, amenities, downtown living. We have new restaurants coming in all around us and, of course, we are literally "downtown" already so we get First Street, the Farmers Markets, and all the town parades, car shows, etc right on our doorstep. Beyond this, the culture of the building feels a little less "party-party" than when I first moved in, due to some positive resident churn, so it is a largely calm living experience, but still fun and still a good mix of young professionals all the way to retirees (or in my case wannabee retirees). Thanks again to the management for responding. A few quick changes Legacy has earned its Luxury moniker. read more

I always passed by legacy to of livermore apartments and loved them, but thought and heard that they were extremely overpriced. My mom suggested I just stop by and tour them and that's when I was 100% convinced this would be the place for me and my kids after hearing about the amazing promotions they have to offer, land t alone the AMENITIES! Diane and Faye at the front are the sweetest. Diane made my move in process seamless. Moving here was a life changing experience for me and my kids. I have met so many new friends and we are literally walking distance from downtown and everything you could need! Don't second guess, just do it. read more

As someone paying premium amounts of rent to live in a luxury building, I have to say that I am very "meh" about living here because of the following reasons: 1) Noise levels: It can be VERY noisy here during the day due to all the construction going on. A lot of it is the fact that there is a whole new building going up just right across the street. The noise seems to just bounce back and forth between the two Legacy at Livermore buildings and completely penetrates through the windows. On days that I work from home, it is enough to stress me out. 2) The Openpath access app to open all the doors throughout Legacy at Livermore is not ideal. There is an app called Openpath that you download on your phone. You use it to open the many many doors throughout Livermore (e.g. gym access, garage access, corridor access etc.). The problem is that near the parking structure of the interior of the building, the cell service is not good. This creates awkward problems when getting to your car, because you stand in this concrete corridor trying to get to the door to the parking garage to open. It eventually does, but sometimes it takes a while. 3) The pool has not opened for many months. It was one of the selling points of this apartment. It is in the marketing pictures and I'm sure it's toured when potential residents come to view the apartments. Management has told me it is because of issues with the Openpath app (the gate to the pool does not show up on the app). However, there are key fobs (kind of like a plastic card that gets electromagnetized) that management uses to open the gate. I feel that these could be fairly easily be distributed to residents to access the pool. read more

I had my eye on these apartments since the beginning of construction before the pandemic. When they were finally open to the public, I spoke with Diane for months going over all the details. Life had other things in store for me and I ultimately did not move into Legacy, but Diane was such an amazing help and resource that I just had to leave a review. Not only was she able to inform me on every aspect of the apartments but she was willing to meet me at my level and take things at my pace. All with a smile! The woman manager is clueless and the general manager is no better making promises and statements he later negates . Bad business practices all the way around!!!! I don't even want to leave the one star it's no wonder the apartments stay empty. read more
