And unfortunately for my dignity, Common Good makes it ridiculously good. Smooth, not overly sweet, and good enough that I'm never going back to pretending I just want regular coffee. Then there's the old-fashioned donut. Holy heck. Crispy edges, soft inside, and flipping phenomenal. I don't know who they're getting their donuts from these days, but whoever is responsible deserves continued employment and possibly dental coverage. The ambience at 7 a.m. is also kind of fantastic. It's basically me, the barista, and whoever is standing across the street waiting for the train. Quiet, relaxed, and just enough civilization outside the window to remind you that other people have places to be while you sit there eating a donut. Next assignment: come back in the afternoon and investigate the cocktails. I take these reviews very seriously. It would be irresponsible journalism to base my findings solely on breakfast without conducting a thorough investigation of the cocktail menu. I didn't choose this responsibility, but I intend to see it through.

I also love that they sometimes put fun little items on the drinks, such as a page from a book, a temporary tattoo, or a piece of candy. This time, they had their spring 2026 menu. I looked at their Instagram page before coming and decided exactly what I wanted. It's so fun how they write a little story to go along with each cocktail and the thought process behind it. It definitely makes the drinks feel more personal and special. We started off with the Rose Tico Conundrum (very sweet and came with a little piece of raspberry candy) and Pepe Silvia's Pickle Party Plot (really delicious, was surprised by this one). Next we tried the speciality API month drink called Gratitude in Bloom (tasted very gingery and lemony, almost like a healthy tea drink) and the Springtime Thought Crime (very strong with a hint of cherry). There isn't much seating so it's not great for huge groups but I think there is a patio. It's a pretty casual spot and great for just hanging out. The music is loud but the vibe is fun. The bartenders and servers are always amazing and super attentive. They do not serve their own food, but I think they have a food truck sometimes that you can order from and they'll bring it to you. I could be wrong about that, but the people next to us had tacos brought to them on paper plates, which looked delicious.

Title: Disappointing Pizza Experience at Legend's Pizza I recently ordered from Legend's Pizza, and honestly, it was a letdown. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that the dough was not freshly made. It had that unmistakable taste and texture of premade, frozen dough. Instead of being light and airy, it felt dense and lacked any real flavor. It was disappointing to say the least. To make matters worse, the cheese was incredibly greasy. It seemed like they went a little overboard with the amount they used, and instead of a delicious, cheesy experience, I was left with a puddle of grease that completely overpowered the other flavors. I was hoping for a balanced pizza, but instead, it felt like I was eating a soggy mess. Overall, my experience at Legend's Pizza was far from legendary. I won't be returning anytime soon, as there are plenty of other places that serve freshly made pizza with quality ingredients. Save your money and look elsewhere! read more

Found a new favorite spot! Saying this place is a pizza place is a total understatement. Everything on the menu sounds incredible! The breaded steak sandwich is big enough to feed two people but so good I still wanted more after smashing the whole thing! The italian beef W/ gravy pizza is already one of my favorite foods! When I came here for dine-in awhile back, my experience wasn't great as the waiter and kitchen staff got our order wrong. We were given the wrong salad, but our waiter let us keep the wrong salad and gave us the correct one. There was also missing pizza toppings, but he still charged us for the missing toppings. We had to ask him to take off the charge. The take-out is easy and quick. They also offer their slushees (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to-go which is cool. Their pizza is Detroit style and is decent. If you don't like burnt crust edges and less sauce than cheese, you probably won't like this style of pizza. I do wish the crust was a bit thicker. I tried some of the bourbon peach tea slushee and it was refreshing! If I go there to dine-in again, I'll get one. They have 50% off pizzas on Monday so I'd like to come back for that deal.
