Bread-like doughy pizza! We go here at least twice a month and just love it! We usually order takeout over the phone and its ready in 15 minutes for pick up. My Twins always get the Medium Cheese pizza and just love it! We usually get the Legend which is a combination pizza with pepperoni, sweet red onions, green bell peppers fresh mushrooms and italian sausage. The pizza is super thicky and doughy crust with tons of toppings which keeps us coming back. We always have leftovers and prices are very reasonable. We've been coming to Legends Pizza on Almaden Expw for awhile now. I like it because it's really good pizza with kind of an old fashioned feel to it. They have tv's playing whatever sporting event is going on. In the past we've reserved their back room for a small get together with friends, which is a nice intimate little section away from the front. Last night we did takeout - ordered "Bases Loaded" which is their combo pizza. It was great as usual. Toppings are awesome and they put a lot of them! Hugely disappointed this time:( Legends, by far, is my go to pizza place. Whenever my girls and I feel like a pizza, Legend's doesn't compare. Tonight was a first..... My most favorite crust award goes to Legend's, usually. This time I couldn't hold a slice without it bending straight down to the floor. I made the best of it, because I was so hungry, and the toppings were just as yummy as usual. Once I got to my second piece, after I got towards the middle, it was soggy city, yuck. I did make the mistake of ordering the desert, chocolate chip cookie pizza. The idea had us sold. Meh...over baked, dark brown on top, burnt black bottom. Not the entire bottom, but enough to make you get that burnt bitter cookie taste in your mouth. Big bummer. This was my first visit, recommended by a friend. Nice bright and clean, tucked away in a shopping center. Friendly staff, a great selection of pizzas and beer. Definitely ample seating. I arrived around 5:30 by 7:00 the place started jumping. I ordered a medium combination minus onions and bell peppers. The pizza did not disappoint. Full of flavor, an ample amount of sauce, and a wonderfully crunchy, yet soft crust. I can eat the crust all by itself or with some butter ha ha Ha I would definitely go back... Maybe take out? Both varieties were so delicious and filling. The crust was perfect being crispy on the bottom and chewy in the center. Really one of the best thick crust pizzas I've had in many years. The all-pro satisfied my savory meat craving. The Hawaiian BBQ pork was very unique with both sweet and savory notes. Both of the pizza varieties we picked complimented each other perfectly. I've been here a couple of times for meetings and gatherings in the private back room and I will say that everything has always been organized and clean, the food/pizza is really good and they have such an amazing salad bar. Their staff is super friendly. The only thing that I would add, is that they offer Wi-Fi and for our networking meetings it was really slooooow and pretty much nonexistent. Maybe they can invest in a better modem for their public Wi-Fi. read more

Legends Pizza Co (LPC) is a nice little family-run pizza shop located at the North end of The Almaden Valley (aka The Den). It's very reminiscent of another South San José Pizza joint (High Five) in it's look, feel, atmosphere and food -- albeit a smaller version. I had heard some good things from Yelp and personal friends and had been curious to try it out. My usual go-to spot as of late has been Pizza My Heart, but tonight I was craving wings so I thought I'd give LPC a try. I placed an order, for pickup, of a dozen spicy wings and a medium 1/2 & 1/2 pizza: 1/2 The Legend (Pepperoni, smoked ham, salami, red onions, bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, Italian sausage and bacon) and the other 1/2 The Babe (pepperoni, Italian salami, honey smoked ham, Italian sausage and applewood-smoked bacon). Here's the breakdown: Spicy Wings- OK, I'm a about to rant so bear with me.. *ahem* I am really, really sick and tired of pizza places that pass off these disgusting, frozen, tasteless pieces of "chicken" that have, unfortunately, become ubiquitous in the pizza world. They're essentially frozen wings that have been reheated and passed off to the customer as "fresh". The only way I can choke these things down is to bring them home and stick them under the broiler to where the disgusting, flabby chicken skin crisps up and then they become semi-passable. You have no idea the level of irritation this causes me. Isn't the whole idea of ordering take-out so you don't have to cook?! Ok, I'm done.. 0.0* Pizza: Crust- In my opinion there are four types of pizza that are most prevalent: Neopolitan(rare), New York, Chicago, and American; LPC serves up the latter. What I call American-style is the thick, doughy crust that you get at most fast food chain pizzerias (e.g., Pizza Hut, Round Table, etc) and most Mom-&-Pop pizzerias. This is not my preferred type of crust, I'd usually opt for one of the first three. Be that as it may, this was a decent crust, as long at there were toppings on it, but once I got to the ends it was pretty gross. 2.5* Sauce and Toppings- They have a nice red sauce and their cheese and toppings are plentiful and fresh. This is usually my favorite part of American-style pizza and LPC did not disappoint. 4* Service and Ambiance- The young lady answering the phone was very pleasant and helpful and she stayed much the same when I went in to pay and pickup. LPC seemed very mellow when I went in, but there weren't any big sporting events going and I suspect on football Sundays it's a much different place. There are plenty of TVs and they have the DIRECTV's Sunday NFL Ticket and ESPN's Gameplan for College Football. They have a full bar and seem like a swell place to watch a game. 4* Value- I don't think LPC has a great value to it. I spent a little over $30 and that was only enough food for a family of 3 for one night. If I go to DiMaggio's I can get a large Stromboli, Spaghetti and 3 meatballs for around the same price and that's enough food for two meals. 2* I would rate LPC overall as 2.5-stars, but probably round it down to 2 because, personally, I would most like never be back. There's nothing terribly wrong with LPC but, like I said, this style of pizza is not really my jam. However, my wife and son like this style of pizza so I will most likely be back at their behest so that's why I'm giving it 3-stars. read more

We ordered vegetarian pizza. Pesto sauce was good. Good quality of ingredients. However they add raw tomatoes on the pizza which spoiled the taste. The vegetables used in the pizza were very limited and they filled with cheese olives and few mushrooms. Wow, I haven't posted in awhile but really felt the need to say something. Tonight was the first time we've gone there. Got a coupon in a weekly mailer. Wife left it at home. I took a picture of it so she could use it to get 2 large pizzas. The coupon would of saved us $6 from what turned out to be a $60.89 bill. Holy crap! 1 large pepperoni and 1 large veggie. The girl at the counter refused to honor the pic of coupon which had the bar code and was still valid. The pizza was not even that good. It was a little better than costco. Costco would of been $20. We live in Almaden and are limited for restaurants. We will definitely not be going back there. Customer Service sucks..... read more

Wrong pizza quickly replaced with a another pizza with someones who had not showed up yet to pick up their pie. $29 and change for a large pepperoni seems a little out of line. Legends Pizza is awesome, but Little Cesears is 5 dollars. The sweet spot should be somewhere in the middle. read more

While we used to be regular customers, the customer service at Legends is unacceptable and has caused us to reconsider ever dining there again. First our take out order was 20 minutes late, which was only the first part of our frustration. After we got home we realized our order was incorrect and called to have it fixed. They actually had us bring the incorrect pizza back to "prove" we weren't lying about the incorrect order. Legends didn't even fast track the correct order, we had to wait 30 minutes to get the correct pizza we ordered. On top of everything they made no attempt to make up for our lost time, inconvenience, or making our kids wait an extra 45 minutes to eat. read more

I like to go to the Legends Pizza in Almaden Valley. I was really surprised by some of the reviews I've read because they do not describe this place to me at all. I was first introduced to this restaurant because our Rams club have a special room in the back with large screen TVs where we watch live football games. The service and cleanup has always been top-notch. Although the prices are a little higher for their pizza than some pizza parlors I feel the ingredients are very fresh and the pizza dough can be made any way you wish. This being said their thick crust is best. They are very accommodating on any special orders you may have or instructions. For example I like my ingredients to go all the way to the end of the crust. They recently added a salad bar which lends itself to a complete meal with every topping you can imagine and several fresh salad dressings to choose from. Unfortunately the restrooms are located outside the building which can be a little inconvenient. Parking is very adequate and there is plenty of seating inside. I have not tried them but I noticed that a lot of customers order the wings which also can be customizable according to sauces. Lol My only complaint would be that when I've ordered from Uber eats I find the quality not as good and I'm really not sure why. The last order I had was a medium and it appeared to be more like a small. I ordered a pepperoni, mushroom and olives combination and there was barely any pepperoni on it but the olives overwhelmed it. read more
