New coffee shop in downtown Plano with really super coffee. Trust me on this. The coffee is dark and flavorful, but not burnt or over roasted. I tried the cranberry haze - something I've never seen before. It was very cranberry-forward, so I probably won't get it again (more sweet than I prefer) but I love having very different drink blends than the norm on the menu. Sandwiches are great here. Seating is more minimal than this space's last shop, but it is still possible to go and find a space to enjoy a leisurely break with food and coffee. read more

Just what we needed: more quality coffee shop competition in downtown Plano! I've loved the nearby 1418 coffeehouse for years, and I'm glad that I have more options now. The vibe is pretty chill, and baristas are pretty friendly. The biggest perk may also be its biggest drawback: there are huge south-facing glass windows, which make it very bright and airy in here (unlike the dark dungeon-like but cozy atmosphere inside of 1418) but it may be a little too much for some! read more

The ambience is straight forward with lots of light coming in the shop. Good place to get some work done with plenty of seating and outlets. As for parking, there are diagonal parking spots on the street. I came on a weekday and there were plenty of parking spaces. The coffee is delicious, seems like the baristas are well-trained and really skilled in preparing coffee. I had the lemma latte which was well-balanced for my taste and finished with a flawless latte art (really wonderful milk texture). I will try the pour overs next time I'm in town. And maybe grab myself a bag of coffee beans as they roast their own beans! :) read more

This is one of the nicest coffee shops I've been too. It's not huge but spacious and super clean. And just good vibes. The baristas are all friendly and helpful and seem happy to be working here. And the place is never too crowded. There's bottomless coffee for $5. Bathroom is clean but the women's one wasn't working when I was there so only one bathroom to use. Parking is pretty easy in downtown Plano area. It's a gem!!! read more

Great service, really good staff. I was busy with my daughter so I couldn't grab my avocado toast after my name was called but the barista came and gave it to me at my table. It was very courteous. The other guy who took my order initially was really nice too, explaining some of the speciality drinks I was curious about. Genuine too. Banana pb granola parfait was tasty. My drinks and toast was good too. I recommend this place over 1418 coffee any day. Went to both in the same day and 1418 was just meh. Lemma makes most of their syrups in-house while 1418 has the generic pump bottles. Choose Lemma!! read more

Lemma is my favorite coffee spot in DFW. I've been to all three locations now and they all are great. The coffee is always delicious and the staff is friendly. I do wish they had better tables to work from, but that doesn't deter me at all. In the cold months I get the hot Lemma latte and in the warm months I get the maple cream cold brew. Old Town Plano location. Saturday just after noon. Maple Cinnamon Latte tasted great but was truly not hot. Ordered the Avocado Toast with poached egg [Note: restaurant photo showed three pieces of avocado toast with an egg on one large square piece of toast]. What came instead was a single piece of avocado toast but no egg at all. Less than half the food pictured the photo. Was asked if I wanted a receipt and had responded "yes," but never got one. I was in the Dallas area on a business trip and my flight home was canceled. My next flight out was 12 hours later. I decided to find a place to work and came across Lemma. I fell in love with this place - the coffee is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming, but most of all the people who work here are so friendly and accommodating. While waiting for my coffee, I mentioned my situation, and they were genuinely interested and concerned. I spent about 5 hours working, had 3 cups of the most amazing coffee, and felt like I made new friends. The next time I am in Dallas I will stay in a hotel near Lemma just to patronize them again. My wife and I love coming to this place to get coffee. My favorite thing on their menu has to be the cappuccino and the caramel macchiato. This place is always clean and filled with positive vibes. Lance and Olivia are my personal favorite baristas. They always make the coffee perfect. If ever there's an issue they have no problem making things right. Rarely do I wish zero stars was an option, but Lemma truly deserves none. I was initially excited to try this new coffee shop in downtown Plano. A friend had recently been and was underwhelmed, but I wanted to make up my own mind. Well I should have listened to my friend and skipped it... First, the employee working the register was not welcoming and seemed bothered when I approached her to place my order. No, hello or anything of the sort. Second, I ordered a large almond milk latte with lavender flavoring. Nothing fancy or time consuming like a pour-over. It took OVER FIFTEEN MINUTES to receive my order, and they only began making it after I commented that I had placed my order over ten minutes ago. Along with that, customers who placed orders AFTER me received their drinks BEFORE I did. Sure the cafe was somewhat busy, but it wasn't anything crazy--there were plenty of open seats and was no line the entire time I was there. Instead, the baristas were chitchatting with each other and discussing their lunches while I waited an absurd amount of time my drink to be made. Third, the to-go cups that Lemma uses are as cheap as you can get. The lid was not secured by the barista or didn't secure because it's so poorly constructed and the cup was so thin and flimsy that the lid popped right off as I was placing it in my car cup holder, spilling this overpriced, mediocre latte all over me and my center console. I don't mind paying over $9 for a craft coffee drink if the drink quality and service live up to the cost, but Lemma did not. I will not be returning or recommending. Take my advice and spend your hard-earned money somewhere else like 1418 or Mudleaf in Plano or make a trip to Cultivar, Houndstooth, or Ascension in Dallas--heck, even Starbucks and Dunkin are better than this place. read more

Rude staff and coffee was straight milk. The woman working the register was very standoff-ish and sounded annoyed as she took everyone's orders. No one was greeted as the walked in. The overall atmosphere of the shop was tense and not what I was expecting. I will not be going back. read more

Okay the Lemma Lattee was amazing. I almost chugged it in one sip. Prices were reasonable for a coffee shop. Amazing latte art. My biggest complaint when it comes to lattes is too much milk foam to the point where it almost feels like a cappuccino this coffee shop did a great job making sure there was just the right amount of foam not too much and not too little and it made it very palatable and delicious. Condensed milk is a little strong but their coffee blend paired perfectly with this. The vanilla flavor in the latte was good but not too much to the point where it felt like I was eating a sugar cookie or eating vanilla ice cream. It was very subtle and a compliment to the flavor of the coffee well. The cookie had a slight bit of salt felt like there was a surprise of salt in every other bikes, and it was very good but the texture of the cookie was not to my way, but it was a good tasting cookie and I enjoyed it. This was my first time here so maybe able to redeem itself. I am a matcha drinker and I got the seasonal Tropical Thunder Matcha Version drink. It wasn't amazing :/ The flavour was a bit strange and couldn't really taste the matcha. The inside is cute but it's a lot of rough seating. Not really any comfy sofas and chairs more like wood. The server was nice though and helped me choose what to get. read more
